True, he must have been a machine that game considering Chelsea scored two goals.

Goal = CS for defender bps. Opposition striker then loses 3bps and some noise.

Lol obviously depends on the other players around him, passing accuracy, dispossessions, fouls, etc. Pretty straightforward really if you look at all the stats.

Ivanovic played better according to the system than Clyne.

      Done discussing 😛

He puts Sanchez in his back pocket that GW.
Just look at his stats for that GW. He won all of his aerial duels ( more than 10) and has many interceptions and blocks.

Assuming Chadli injured which set of transfers:

    Chadli and Pelle to...

    A. Siggy and Austin (leaves money to swap Clyne for Terry/Azpi)

    B. Di Maria and Kane?

Hey guys, would appreciate some advice.

    Forster
    Baines, Bertrand, Naylor
    Haz, Cesc, ADM, Siggy
    Aguero, Pelle, Sakho

    Subs: Boyd, Dawson, Moore
    2 FTs, 1.3m itb

    A: Forster + Pelle > 4.6gk + Rooney (c)
    B: Bertrand + Pelle > Yun + Costa (c) (Chelsea triple up)
    C: Forster + Pelle > any GK + Bony

Interesting, that's certainly the safe option but I find myself leaning towards A tbh, seems worth a gamble with the 2 home fixtures and Costa on 4 yellows. Is it insane?

No, not insane. I just worry about Rooney playing deep affecting his FPL output.
Costa just scores goals, simple. I'm glad I held him.

That he does and his consistency is awesome. Only problem is lack of baps cripples his captaincy appeal. You expect bonus for 11m.

              3.(-4) chadli + downing + pelle > sanchez + amalfitano + kane

*that way id keep both haz + adm. ameobi is vry atheltic player and now has the gamtime to prove it. amalfitano slowly getting the minutes lastgw 81min w/ assist

Don't like either tbh, think I'd continue without him if you don't wanna shift Haz and ADM. Kouyate will eat Amalf minutes. The 2nd one is best though out of the 2 if Downing is out and you wanna go through with it.

Palace just scored 3 on Liverpool (I know not as damning as it sounds), so why bring him in when it's very possible he concedes as well gets a yellow card and then is suspended for his 'easy' fixture vs QPR (who by all accounts also aren't toothless)

            • 11 Years

I could score against Liverpool with my eyes closed. Palace don't score many goals. Swansea are solid at home. If not Naylor, then who? Your argument can be made for literally every team in the league.

so 16/17 goals conceded is poor but 13 is desirable?

2 CS all season for west ham (Against Villa and QPR)
and considering the fact that West ham defenders are more expensive, it is poor. Villa have 4 CS but tend to concede alot of goals, not going there just yet.

He's a good option, obvisouly he's going to try not to get that 5th yellow card. He's a defender though, but still. Same goes with Fabregas for example and he's a central midfielder, no reason to sell him for that.

Ah Clyne threw a spanner in the works tonight. Which transfer do ye prefer 1ft 1.1 itb

        A) Tadic -> Eriksen free. 2 tough fixtures next
        B) Tadic -> Sterling. Team is playing bad but good fixtures.
        C) Clyne -> Yun or 4.2 and Tadic -> ADM -4 (my planned transfer)

          A. Chasing Points. Poor fixtures.
          B. The guy can't even finish his tea. Good fixtures, yet... so was this GW.

Yeah I dont really like A tbh.
Sterling is playing poor and so are Liverpool but he has still produced returns in 50% of games so far. You imagine if they hit a good patch he will do well.
United seem good at home but I'm still unsure if ADM is worth that price.
            Cheers

is Klopp's high intensity style of play leading to Hummels/Reus and co. recurrent injuries?

you accumulate fatigue in your muscles, your nervous system gets slower, reactions aren't as fast, stress/impact on a joint/muscle then cannot be handled as well

crude reasoning taken from that dutch fitness expert raymond verheijen but your body must be more resilient when its properly functioning

but in general, I mean, it must play a part

like United's 40 injuries during LVG's reign so far. cannot just be coincidence. his double training sessions in the heat of USA straight after the WC for many players must be a factor

It could also be that they simply have bad athletic trainers and bad physiotherapists. They were fine in the year before the CL finale and throughout the year of the finale.

The reason I don't want Klopp at Arsenal. We hired a new world class physio this summer and yet nothing has changed in terms of volume of injuries so that suggests it is the training methods

People looking to remove Clyne (I don't have him anymore):

I know red = bad on Season Ticker..but Liverpool and Arsenal aren't the most threatening in attack and United is super inconsistent due to injuries and getting their groove..

Is Kane worth the risk in terms of playing minutes ahead of Austin?

Just looked at the members area: individually both have similar stats (minutes per goal attempts etc), but as a whole, Spurs have better team stats (more shots, crosses, big chances etc)
