Wouldn't call it a mess mate.
- First of all your strike force is fine, no changes needed there at this moment.
- Secondly, your midfield looks pretty solid also, I've not owned Tadic this season but he always looks heavily involved in Southampton's attacking play without delivering the goods. I may be inclined to offload, to upgrade to Oscar or Fabregas if you can afford it.
- Defensively, it's pretty weak, but you know that. You're taking a risk by not having Baines moving forward, so don't know if you want to draft him in. If not, you could upgrade one of Chambers or Chester to Azpilicueta.
Personally I'd be looking to upgrade Clyne to Baines or Ivanovic. You're pretty solid elsewhere.I was looking at Baines, but I can only get him for Chester by getting a Chadli or Downing for Tadic.
Clyne is one of the three defenders I have that are getting minutes. I cant justify taking him out for that reason despite the fixtures.I've just noticed this, maybe you'll want to switch up either Chester or Moore to players that are getting game time. Not a glamorous transfer by any means, but one that may come in handy over the Xmas period.
What do you reckon about the Tadic + Chester ----> Hazard + Yun for -4 move above?

This. There's a massive luck element in this game and I think I'm on the wrong side of it at the moment.
Having Saints defense is clearly not about luck though... you could tell they were gonna get some CS's after afew GW's of the season and with a peak at the fixtures.... plus their form...
Alot of FPL is down to luck but im afraid this one wasn'tI don't know. Sure they had good fixtures but that doesn't necessarily translate into clean sheets. Look at Chelsea; you'd expect them to get clean sheets in 70% of their games but they haven't been doing so because of bad luck like a wild deflection against Liverpool, for example. Saints have been defending well but also getting lucky and have over performed greatly in terms of FPL points.

They both got 7 points, think of it as a soton clean sheet with bert and clyne picking up a bonus point.
Had Guzan as well. That goal probably cost me around 8 points total against the top 10k so I'm slightly annoyed.

What's not to be hopeful of? Most of them have good fixtures if I just get rid of Tadic and PelleIdk just don't like the look of it. Tough to overcome starting on a -8 if you so choose that path on that given weekend.
i think Ings (VIL) and Hazard(c) (sun) would cover the -8 over a couple of gw's though, or perhaps even just one. Tadic and Pelle didn't do much today against a really poor villa side it has to be said

I already have Austin. Leaning towards Aguero-Austin-Ings. 3 nailed-on, in-form strikers, with great fixtures and all on penalties. Having an extra 2.0 itb to play around with in defense in GW14 (perhaps Chambers>Terry/Cahill?) could be pretty epic too.

That said I'd like to get Hazard into my team as his stats are quite nice in the last few games and i don't want to miss the next sanchez-esque explosionyeah true...it is a big risk, and I have found that -8 hits almost never come off in that particular gameweek although can over 3-4 gws...up to you whether you think it can happen! tadic and pelle don't look like good prospects over the next 3-4 gws so I guess it is possible! 🙂
I wasn't against keeping Pelle, but he didn't register a shot on target for the 4th game in a row iirc. My plan was Tadic>Siggy but Sterling deserved the boot first. Shame that I'm 0.3 short of Tadic>Hazard (-4) otherwise that would be an easy move.
I'd rather just take a -8 and have the team I want than to drag a broken record along with me for weeks on end in anycase. We'll see how the CL plays out as I now have a lot of options!

I wouldn't drop Clyne. Just work him into your rotation and make it work for you. He's an absolute points machine, and for the starting price of 5.0 too!
I just sold Sterling. There's just no way I could keep him with his stats and liverpools performance, plus rotation risk in December.

Imo if u decide to keep clyne u have to play him every or at least most week..otherwise just sell him and get back again.
Look at him like baines as he did get quite a few goals n assists which is probably the reason u kept him.I don't agree. I have Naylor and Wisdom who can both cover 2-3 GW's while I bench Clyne. I got him at 5.0 which isn't too much to be benched for a couple of GW's, and I don't see a point in losing 0.4 of his rise value either. He's earned the right to stay in my team with only 2 blanks in 12 GW's too... its just silly to sell him right now.

If you're getting one more chelsea attacker it has to be hazard, so take a hit.

Defenders can be like that. There is always another priority and you end up with some hack from an under performing defence for way too long
