It’s “squeaky bum time” in the ScoutCast studio as Granville continues to chip away at my previously “unassailable” mini-league lead. My co-host stumbled through an injury-strewn Gameweek 12 with the honours, leaving me trailing and worrying that he’ll have clawed it all back by Christmas.

Pressing on, we flog the Hazard vs Fabregas debate once again and run the rule over a cast of budget strikers, desperately searching for the optimum way to spend the two transfers burning holes in our pockets.

We asses the week’s transfer bandwagons, look ahead to Gameweek 13 and take time out to tease Jonty on his Di Maria u-turn. We then combine “powers” to terrifying effect and prepare the ScoutCast XI for their Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round, having flexed its muscles to the tune of a 59-point Gameweek 12. Intimidating stuff.

Lubricate your hinges via this link, or bathe in WD40 via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Would you trade Clyne for Austin in a draft league?

Clyne is currently 5th in the entire game in points (tied with ADM and Sanchez in fact!), but it might be a good time to cash in. Its usually easier to pick up good defenders than good strikers in the league...

The curious tale of Duscan Tadic...... His stats are great, he plays high up the pitch for a good team, takes all set pieces, is on pens and creates a ridiculous amount of chances, yet he's blanked in 75% of the games he's played in. Most frustrating fantasy player ever.

That's one way of looking at it.

I look to spend transfers where funds are tied up and in more attacking positions as a priority. You're swapping defenders that I wouldn't imagine you even use every week, keepers - which are very rarely worth bothering with - and a cheap 3rd striker.

If you've got nothing worth doing with the rest of your strikeforce or expensive mids though - go for it.

They're taking it seriously. Possibly considering it to be their best route to the Champions League. Someone on here also raised a good point about foreign managers taking it more seriously due to a UEFA cup win looking better on the CV than a 5th place finish.

I play my wildcard before DGW's every single season (GW30 ish or so)

But all these injuries flying around and 3 games in 7 days means everybody else will be really struggling for points and 11 starters - they'll be taking hits, so I've wildcarded bcuz I think its a big benefit.

        Azpi Yun Bartley Dummett Chambers
        Haz Siggy Sanchez ADM Boyd/Jedinak
        Costa Aguero Austin

Too risky. Rodgers might fancy giving Borini a chance.

If both Downing and Baines are 50/50 is this worth it for a -8?

    Baines>Taylor
    Downing>Hazard

    bank 0.5M

to upgrade Moore or Clyne the following week

i think baines will play, and even if he doesnt, he's worth keeping and sacrificing him to the bench for (another) week
