Stewart Downing returns to training for West Ham, though Sam Allardyce still has doubts over a handful of regulars. Jack Wilshere is out for three months with an ankle injury for Arsenal. Newcastle pair Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor return to training but Tim Krul is doubtful. Saido Berahino is fit for West Brom after recovering from a minor hamstring problem, while Stoke are hit by a virus ahead of the trip to Liverpool.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed Jack Wilshere is set to be sidelined for three months after undergoing ankle surgery. Mikel Arteta is also ruled out for the Gunners, whilst Wojciech Szczesny has failed to train and Yaya Sanogo “has problems” with the hamstring injury that forced him off in midweek. Danny Welbeck is set for a fitness test later today on the knee problem that forced him to miss the win over Dortmund, though Theo Walcott remains sidelined with a groin problem.

Villa’s injury room remains packed ahead of their trip to Burnley. Paul Lambert has confirmed that Ron Vlaar, Philippe Senderos and Nathan Baker are all still absent due to injury.

Scott Arfield and Nathaniel Chalobah are both available for Burnley available for Burnley’s home encounter after recovering from a knock, though Sean Dyche is still without Sam Vokes and Matt Taylor as Villa roll up to Turf Moor. Michael Duff is rated “touch and go” after being forced off last week with a calf complaint.

Palace will be without the services of Damien Delaney for the next couple of matches. The central defender sustained a calf injury at home to Liverpool last time out and has an “outside chance” of making the Gameweek 15 clash with Spurs, according to Neil Warnock. The Palace boss has also confirmed Adrian Mariappa “might be out a little bit longer than Delaney” with the knee injury sustained in training last week.

Everton midfielder James McCarthy will be assessed after limping out of last night’s win over Wolfsburg with a recurrence of a hamstring injury. Aiden McGeady recovered from a weekend illness to play the full 90 minutes.

Hull are without frontman Abel Hernandez for the next two league encounters as he has returned to his native Uruguay for the birth of his child. Steve Bruce will welcome back Mo Diame, though, after the midfielder overcame the knee problem that forced him out of last week’s encounter with Spurs.

Marcos Rojo has returned to training for United, though it remains to be seen whether he’s fit enough to be considered this weekend after a recent shoulder injury.

Alan Pardew revealed Fabricio Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Cheick Tiote and Emmanuel Riviere have all returned to training for Newcastle, those was somewhat coy on the quartet’s availability, saying “I don’t want to give too much away”. The Magpies manager is confident that young winger Rolando Aarons will be back next week and also confirmed Ryan Taylor is out for only three-to-four weeks after sustaining a slight knee problem last weekend. Tim Krul is a doubt for the trip to West Ham, however, after picking up a training ground knock.

After serving a three-match suspension, Rio Ferdinand will be assessed for QPR’s clash with Leicester. Harry Redknapp is hopeful the defender will be fit, though the Hoops boss ruled out Adel Taarabt once again, admitting “He’s still not fit and still not training”.

Mark Hughes has revealed Asmir Begovic, Geoff Cameron and Phil Bardsley have all picked up a virus that is sweeping through the Stoke camp. The Potters hope to have Marc Wilson and Erik Pieters back in time for their trip to Anfield after both missed out last week – Hughes went on to reveal that Wilson has returned to training, while Robert Huth is closing in on a return from a calf complaint.

Saido Berahino is in contention for West Brom after overcoming a “minor hamstring” problem according to Alan Irvine. The Baggies also has Sebastien Pocognoli back for the visit of Arsenal, while James Morrison is hoping to recover from illness.

Stewart Downing and Cheick Kouyate both returned to training for West Ham yesterday, Sam Allardyce has confirmed. The Hammers boss admitted he’s less positive on the other three players – Alex Song, Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho – that missed out last weekend, though he reckons Mark Noble “might” be back in contention after being forced off in the 2-1 defeat at Goodison.

Not having a good season. I am middle of the pack and I need to find differentials.

I agree with the general view that Rooney is nearing explosion mode and ADM could suffer from the British winter and the game accumulation.

How stupid of a punt would the following transfers be?

    ADM + Naismith (inj) -> Rooney + Bolasie (-4)

Bolasie rotates with Downing and Austin quite well.

    Cheers

The getting Rooney part is ok, but loosing ADM for a hit to do it is madness IMO.

ADM could easily outscore Rooney this weekend.

In notice Keane has dropped out of the Villa project - anyone else tempted to invest in some Villains now with the resulting rise in team morale? 😉

Don't know if it's just me but I'm slightly bewildered about why the guy is given ANY credibility in his post playing days. Amazing on the pitch, but he's achieved very little from the touchline other than taking a VERY well funded Sunderland team out of the Championship (and then almost back again) having a series of fall-outs. As a pundit he makes Hansen look joyful and enthusiastic and rarely offers any insight of value.

All in all it makes me hanker for the days when the pros would retire to run a pub.

We have Fergie to thank for Keane's attitude and behaviour. Never wrong, ever. A bully who, when he doesn't get his own way throws the toys out of the pram. If he were true to his beliefs he would never have gone to work for John Delaney and the FAI. He's a fraud of the highest order

Which Swansea defender should I bring in for Clyne? I'm thinking...

Williams - too expensive & on 4 yellows
Taylor - perfect price, but on 4 yellows
Rangel - average price, NOT on 4 yellows

Rangel seems the obvious choice, then?

following are some of the concerns I am having with my team:

    1.Should I keep and play Clyne-Bertrand ?

2.Should I get ADM for kind run of fixtures?

3.I don't have following high ownership players : Siggy Sterling Di Maria Fabregas
Do I need to worry about that?

    4. I guess Krul and Welbeck are not going to play.So thats again a concern

Should I take a 8-12 point hit to address above issues.I don't mind taking hits.I have already took 17 hits this season and not doing that bad ( entered 100K last GW)

I think taking hit or two isn't a bad thing to do if that makes the team better in long run

Wait for confirmation (if any) in pressers over injuries.

Then, subject to news, Sakho - Austin, and leave it.

Dummet and Wisdom off the bench isn't that bad a worst case scenario.

So, the big question for me is:
Tadic and Pelle -> Boyd and Rooney?

    Is it worth a hit?

Legend has it that in his first training session with the full Chelsea squad, Costa asked Oscar to gather the 3 toughest players in the Chelsea team.

Oscar came back with Ivanovic, Terry and Cahill. Upon meeting them, Costa apparently delivered the following phrase, a phrase he practiced in advance since he spoke little to no English.

"I go into battle. You come with me"

    Costa (c)

Without doubt the most overrated player on these pages. But I would still like to have him in my side for this weekend.

        No Man Utd cover ever.

Hardcore ABU ever since their vermin fans sang through the minutes silence for Hillsborough at Anfield.

So due to a minority of idiots you make that decision and call MUFC fans vermin, wow.

No Liverpool players because of Heysel...grow up sunshine.

I nearly did. Di Maria has one more match with me, then he is gone, if form slips further.

Which one of these.. If A, then Chambers will be my most expensive defender with 4 other cheapies...

      A - Hazard + Wisdom

      B - Oscar + Azpil

Kos being back is surely good news for Chambers for the next couple of weeks until Debuchy returns?
