A disappointing Gameweek 15 finally comes to its conclusion this evening as Southampton brace themselves for the visit of in-form Man United. Louis van Gaal’s side roll up to St Mary’s on the back of four successive wins and will be looking to take advantage of their injury-hit hosts.

Despite the loss of Angel Di Maria to a hamstring complaint, United will be confident of another victory after Wayne Rooney recovered from a knee problem late last week. The Red Devils skipper has scored in each of his last two league appearances and has the chance to stake a claim as a possible replacement for Sergio Aguero in our three-man frontlines tonight.

Robin van Persie, Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini have all been amongst the goals in the last two matches and have the platform to cement a place in Fantasy managers’ thoughts ahead of Gameweek 16.

For the Saints, Ronald Koeman faces a tough task to steady the ship. Southampton have lost each of the last two without finding the net, and with the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin, Jack Cork and Toby Alderweireld ruled out, a ninth clean sheet of the season looks hard to come by.

The misfiring Graziano Pelle – still owned by 22% of Fantasy Premier League managers – attempts to score for the first time in seven Gameweeks this evening, whilst the inconsistent Dusan Tadic may struggle to improve upon a record which has seen him blank in 10 of his 14 league appearances.

    Top 1000 Roo or DC for Kun...? Awful lot of transfers in for DC in comparison.

    This United side aren't improving, they are lucky. Those stats highlight they were very poor tonight, and they were similarly poor against Arsenal. They are due a big set-back I think.

        Not really bothered either way concerning their successes/failures. Just an observation. If anything, I'd rather a strong United as it probably means a stronger English Premier League.

          Nobody doubts United' away form has been poor but getting results and there are clear signs of improvement especially at home and we're only just in December.

            Can't argue other than the only just in December part. People were calling more Moyes' head this time last year.

            I think it's a very thin line between getting results and getting battered when you play like that though, and I think they might fall over the wrong side of that line before long. It means a stronger league though I hope they build on this and perform better and better.

      But it all evens out right? Utd been unlucky with injuries, so maybe a bit of luck with results balances out ... And the Arsenal game was just about Arsenal losing their heads and committing too many men forward when 1 down

        Agree with the Arsenal bit, they managed that very badly and United took advantage. It should probably have ended 3-1 Arsenal but for their naivety and De Gea.

        They have been unlucky with injuries, but LVG has also made some very poor decisions tactically.

          - and perhaps gotten away with them through lucky results. If they'd had lost the last two he would be questioned a lot more thoroughly on his decisions.

    A) Chambers & Agüero -> Wisdom*/Azpili & Džeko/Pelle/Benteke

    B) Cork & Agüero -> Yaya/Hazard & Bojan/Ayoze/Kane (switch to 3-5-2 basically)

    **Wisdom is considered, because I maybe want to bring Yaya or Hazard in for Downing in 2 weeks.

        Currently owner of Hazard, so I see no need for Costa at this point. Austin probably too risky for me given that he is out this week and I have ground to make up, just transferred Pelle out last week so I'd need to see a big form improvement to go him again. Cheers for reply.
