I did Aguero/Siggy to Bony/Yaya for 2FT before price change.

    Leaves me with:

    Guzan
    Baines Azpi Hutton (Dummett Moore)
    Hazard(C) Sanchez Yaya Downing Boyd
    Costa Bony (Austin)

How is this looking for next GW?

Was a bit overpriced before, but selling Aguero makes it seem like the budget has been doubled 😉

But the plan is to get aguero back before Jan WC... so RVP is an easy swap. After his brace this morning... even easier i think... will bring him in with the big C

        1. FPLEL

Little chance of Kun being back before Jan.

    8. Nickofoz

Neither. Not worth the price when Siggy and Downing offer excellent value, and Haz and Alexis aren't going anywhere.

      pass for me too innsie.

      4YC and ACON.

And it would completely disrupt the balance of my team if i get a 3rd 10M+ Midfielder.

So for me... do i bring him in for HAz or Sanchez... and the answer is No.

    10. Walsh
      11 years, 11 months ago

I am really dithering over what to do with Fab. Doubling up with him and Hazard doesn't seem so great at the moment as Chelsea are back to their shut down mode after scoring two goals. I am really having a hard time deciding what to do. If he wasn't on 4 yellows I think I would get him straight in, but as things stand, I'm still unsure.

      1. President John F. Keninnsie
        11 years, 11 months ago

        Interested in getting Siggy back?

Used my FT - just need an Aguero replacement, now. How am I looking?

    Courtois
    Baines Naylor Hutton Wisdom
    Sanchez Hazard (C) Siggy Downing
    AGUERO Rooney

    4.0, Austin* Dummett, Albrighton
    1.0 ITB

I plan to do Aguero > Dzeko after the midweek games. That'll leave me with 5.3 ITB and the ability to do Albrighton > Fabregas, next week. (If he falls 0.1)

Best pair to bring in for Aguero & Siggy-

A- Costa, Keep siggy, upgrade Naylor to Azpi

Cash to burn seems to be the general mood around here. Probably what many would consider to be the 3 most over priced players - Yaya Toure, RVP and Costa, seem to be the most talked about players that people are getting in. 😆

at 2% ownership RVP is worth a punt... I am just outside the top 100K and an RVP C hatrick vs Liverpool would put the cat amongst the pigeons

        1. Diva
          11 years, 11 months ago

Good luck with that. I accept that if there's one fit player in the Premier League who could pull a hat-trick out of nowhere it's RVP, but it doesn't look likely on current form.

        2. KING KOUNDER
          11 years, 11 months ago

          RVP was worldclass yesterday.

          No second thoughts, WORLDCLASS.
If it was Hull or Stoke , he would have scored 5.

    4. Debauchy

I can get only of those, probably Yaya as my midfield is bit lightweight 😀

      1. BeachBadger
        11 years, 11 months ago

I have Costa. I actually think he'll be worth having. Tempted by Yaya but he really does come at a massive price considering Silva is nearly 2m cheaper. RVP I wont touch I think

  9. mranonymous
    11 years, 11 months ago

    Lukaku or Giroud (c)?

Bookies are paying $1.80 to 1 that Giroud will score.

    $1.90 for Lukaku

    1. Holmes
      11 years, 11 months ago

What does bookies used to get these odds? Are they random numbers or some stats behind them?

Stats and also gambling stategies. These aren't the actual odds on either scoring. Just what they're offering you.

        1. Holmes
          11 years, 11 months ago

Do they change odds as the investment increases?

          1. BeachBadger
            11 years, 11 months ago

Yeah they cut prices. Also, prices vary by region. For example, you will get shorter odds on big clubs, not just because their teams are better, but becasue they have a bigger fanbase and more people backing them. Odds on Ireland winning a game are shorter in Ireland, than in France for example, as more people will likely back them there.

            1. Holmes
              11 years, 11 months ago

Cool! Thanks! Doesnt make sense to captain or pick someone based on odds then 😀

              1. BeachBadger
                11 years, 11 months ago

Certainly not 100% but generally they are a good indicator. Esp for things like clean sheets. More so they just stack the odds in their favour. I remember seeing odds on a team that were 1/100 to win a game. Bet 100 to win 1. I actually fancied the other team so checked their odds to win. A measly 4/1.

If your bench is strong, does it really matter if rotated?

Correct me if I am wrong but I would prefer my player rested for one game but fresh for the 2nd one than having them played all three games over xmas but mentally exhausted?

      1. BeachBadger
        11 years, 11 months ago

The main concern is that over the festive period other players will be rested too so you may have to deal with more than one benching. But I agree in principle

          11 years, 11 months ago

Crazy season. Am I the only one seeing this?

Hazard - only scores at home - winger/playmaker. only 5 goals to date 10.4m??
YaYa - box to box - penalties. only 4 goals to date. 10.7m??
RVP - not the player of two years ago but at least a scorer. only 6 goals to date. 12.4m ???

Contrast Sanchez 9 goals, plays as attacker. Costa 11 goals, Kun 14 goals.

To pay those kind of money, they have to be at least 20% better than Austin 6 goals / 6.1m

Hmm wouldn't want to play Dummett next week so maybe chambers has to go. With Kun, Chadli and Austin it looks like you'll need to take a hit or two though...

keeping Austin.....also rather keep chadli for one more gw than take a double hit......thinking kun and chambers to costa and zabaleta

    How's this for a team? 0.1 ITB.

    Forster - Myhill
    Azpi - Hutton - Wisdom - Dummett - Baines
    Sterling - Fab - Alexis - Siggy - Boyd
    Austin - Rooney - Costa

I'm not sold on having Sterling at the moment. Otherwise it looks like a fairly strong team. That team should easily be able to absorb the one week suspensions for Fab and Austin based on the fixtures of the other players. Dummett looks like the stand out candidate for the bench this week.

So how nailed is Mangala at the moment? Silly idea to consider getting him in? Would be awesome value.

Everyone laughing at me when I said RVP should be near the top of the Captains poll instead of at the bottom. Wish I'd listened to my own advice

Pretty hard to predict a Fonte brain fade and Soton not marking him from a free kick

Who does everyone think the best non-chelsea defender to own up until the jan wildcard is?

    1. President John F. Keninnsie
      11 years, 11 months ago

      Baines.

Zaba if you can handle a rest or two.

      1. FPLEL
        11 years, 11 months ago

Just curious man, do you consider Baines to be worth his price anymore? I personally don't, not with Mirallas around.

        1. Les Bleus
          11 years, 11 months ago

          I agree with this.

        2. BlueIncognito
          11 years, 11 months ago

I'm giving him one more week. If Mirallas takes his set-pieces again, I'm bringing Kompany/Zaba in

no but wait till the good fixtures are over to decide

        4. President John F. Keninnsie
          11 years, 11 months ago

Well he is a better prospect without Mirallas in the side but he's still got the highest points potential out of all the defenders and Everton's fixtures are pretty good. He may not justify his price tag but, with the Aguero money, I think it's wise to own him.

          1. FPLEL
            11 years, 11 months ago

Well put, I am reticent to sell him particularly because I can afford all the other players I want with the Kun cash. I would not buy him for 7.3 if I didn't own him, however.

Yes. Compare with Yaya (box to box). Both positionally as high up the pitch for attacking moves. Both have pens/freekicks. Baines has CS bonus. Yet people pay 10.7 for Yaya.

      Lord Hutton
      King Leighton

I'm thinking Zaba as it will provide me with a differential from my main ML rival. I can absorb the rotations provided he starts this gameweek

He's in good form but his goals were meh. Not entirely convinced, Rooney the better option imo

Yeh and United were piss poor. 3 shots total, 2 of which went in. Absolute gifts of goals as well. Rooney will come good

Maybe at 9.9m. No longer at 10.4m. 5 goals all season and fails in away matches. Still expecting him to explode as a winger?
