Three more players toppled off the Suspension Tightrope this weekend, with Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas the most high-profile casualty for Fantasy managers. The Spaniard’s fifth yellow card of the campaign means he’s set to miss next weekend’s home encounter with Hull as Jose Mourinho’s men look to bounce back from their first defeat of the season.

Everton’s Gareth Barry and Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko are also unavailable for selection this time around after collecting their fifth cautions. Barry sits out the Toffees’ home clash with QPR on Monday evening, whilst Sissoko misses Newcastle’s trip to the Emirates.

We now have 24 players balancing on the Tightrope after a flurry of cards over the previous Gameweek. Man City’s Yaya Toure is one of the latest new entries after he incurred the referee’s wrath during Saturday evening’s narrow win over Everton. Toure, along with the likes of team-mate Vincent Kompany, Villa’s weekend scorer Alan Hutton, Newcastle right-back Daryl Janmaat and Southampton’s Graziano Pelle, needs to navigate the next four Gameweeks without a yellow in order to avoid an automatic one-match ban.

Five teams – Villa, Hull, City, Southampton and Stoke – are the most affected, with three players apiece all teetering on the Tightrope.

Elsewhere this weekend, Charlie Austin, Calum Chambers, Steven Taylor and Lukas Fabianski will also serve one-match suspensions after being sent off during the weekend. Swansea lost their appeal over Fabianksi’s dismissal at West Ham, after the hosts’ Diafra Sakho was guilty of handball prior to the incident which led to the keeper’s departure.

Leicester’s Paul Konchesky has successfully appealed a three-match ban imposed for violent conduct during the weekend loss at Villa and is available for selection with immediate effect.

In terms of returning players, Neil Taylor, Nemanja Matic, Andi Weimann and Wes Morgan are available once again, having completed their one-match bans. Gaston Ramirez and Claudio Yacob are back for Hull and West Brom respectively after sitting out the last three Gameweeks.

      Nope.

      According to FFF:

      Current: 77%
      Rate: 0.22% per hour.

      23/0.22 = 104 hours (or 4.3 days).

He might rise by Saturday AM price update, but he'll need quite an increase in his take up rate.

For those looking at Kompany, I saw Pellegrini talking about injuries somewhere... Komps, Silva and Jovetic.

He said two of them are close for the Roma game, and one isn't..... who we now know to be Kompany.

That's a 50/50, weaker Porto team, I'd say you risk one point, and could gain four pts. I'd do it.

Should I keep Martinez on the bench where is also is for Porto (their best forward) over a 2 pointer. That's a downside of two points.?

Costa needs match fitness, so going by that and Jose's comments I expect him to get 55-60mins tonight to get his sharpness in tune for the weekend, where he will start.

Even if he plays 90mins he could still start vs Hull but my guess would be that it would be Drogba or Remy vs Hull. We shall see!

That's what I'm thinking too. If I could go back in time 18 hours I would choose to bring in Lukaku instead of Costa. Safe choice even if only for one GW.

Hopefully Costa plays only 45mins anyways!

Why would he want him for the League Cup? Premier League is more important for Jose, and he don't want to lose any more points. Pretty sure he feel confident about beating Derby with Remy or Drogba up top.

    Guzan (Elliot)
    Azpilicueta - N.Taylor - Hutton (Moore, Yun)
    Hazard - Sanchez - Downing - Siggy - Boyd
    Bony - Costa (Austin)

Is it worth a -4 to upgrade any weak spots? Want Ramsey, but if I was to swap Boyd for Ramsey i'd have too many good midfielders and too weak a defence. Thoughts?

I have the exact funds to do

Aguero, fab, Marney > Sakho, Hazard, Yaya -8

Which would leave me with a front 8 of

    Hazard Yaya Sanchez Siggy Downing
    Sakho Costa Bony

I have a feeling this could be a benching nightmare choosing one of Siggy/Bony or Downing/Sakho to bench. What do you guys think? If only I looked a couple days ago I could have gotten Austin which may have made benching easier!
