With no early kick-off, Gameweek 16 belatedly begins with a batch of six afternoon fixtures, before Arsenal host Newcastle at the Emirates for our tea-time treat.

Fantasy managers will be fixated on fortunes down at the Bridge, where leaders Chelsea are expected to dish out a spanking to Hull side that’s stuttered badly in recent weeks. Eden Hazard and Diego Costa both start and sport the armband for the majority in the Gameweek as Jose Mourinho recalls his big-hitters. Cesar Azpilicueta is the only casualty, he’s left on the bench as Filipe Luis retains the left-back role following Wednesday’s European tie.

Second placed City also bristle with a host of Fantasy talent as they make the trip to basement dwellers Leicester. Like Chelsea, they carry the weight of expectation today, with Fantasy managers monitoring their progress without the services of Sergio Aguero. Yaya Toure’s output will be of keen interest, while David Silva starts and will be under the microscope. Edin Dzeko was due to take his place in the City lineup but was injured in the warm-up. He’s let me down before kicking a ball – a new low in my relationship with the Bosnian.

Elsewhere, Southampton have the opportunity to snap back into form with their trip to Burnley, while West Ham’s ascent will be tested by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Palace are unchanged for their Selhurst Park meeting with Stoke, while at the Hawthorns, Alan Irvine gives starts to Brown Ideye and Silvestre Varela in the derby clash with Villa as Saido Berahino remains benched.

Our Twitter feed includes all this and the full starting XI’s and we’ll update you again prior to Arsenal’s meeting with the Magpies this evening.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Comments like that make me laugh. If you lived round the area or ever went to the games you would know there is a clear division between those who support wenger and those who do not. One small set abused him whilst a large portion felt it was unjust hence singing his name today.

    5. Guidinho
      • 15 Years
      11 years, 2 months ago

Well there are clearly two camps of Arsenal fans, those support Wenger and those who do not. A fickle fan would be one who switches between the two, both sets just take turns to complain/pretend everything is great

      1. Wilshere Knowledge
        • 12 Years

I'm sure even Wenger Out fans were supporting him after the train station incident.

Agree a lot of people thought it crossed the line. Easy for non Arsenal fans who dont go to say fans are fickle without knowing there is a big division of pro and against Wengers. When you hear both sides voicing their opinion doesn't make them fickle just there is no consensus as what to do with him. My mum has been championing Wenger out for ages so much so we put a 500quid bet a couple years ago that he wouldn't win anything!

Crazy what one goal does to your confidence.

The psychological effect of watching the ball hit the net is highly effective.

Ramsey scoring a nice volley vs Stoke, followed up by a brace vs Galatasaray and arguably on of the best goals of this calendar year.

Santi scoring that PK last week vs Stoke, followed up with a brace vs Newcastle.

    Amazing.

Not crazy, performed exactly as expected. Absent most of the game, got a yellow card and got a scrappy but efficient goal. Stoke is another yellow if not red, soon he gets 10YC so that will be a two game suspension.

His saving grace is people are flush to afford him having shipped Aguero
