In light of Sergio Aguero’s knee injury, we delve into the data to highlight a number of forwards’ weekend displays. Wilfried Bony and Robin van Persie’s fine form arrives under the spotlight, whilst we also assess Diego Costa’s recent toils for Chelsea. The Gunners’ weekend scorers and Tottenham’s in-form Dane are also amongst this evening’s topics as Fantasy managers look to spend that left over budget from the Aguero fall-out.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Annoying as it is with City's fixtures, I think the situation is one to monitor unless you're happy to punt and have a FT to burn if you need to correct. I suspect a Silva false 9 might be the way they go. But that's just an educated guess.

    Dzeko , Oscar > Giroud & Yaya -4

    Gives me...

    Foster

    Zabaleta , Ivan , Caulker ,

    Eriksen , Hazard , Sanchez , Yaya

    Austin , Giroud , Bony

Mannone , chambers , Boyd ,wisdom

      Wow! Great rank leaf! 🙂

Like the idea of Oscar out for sure, though the hit for Yaya doesn't sound too appealing.
Ideally, YYT would improve that midfield tenfold.

Have you considered RvP? Or Downing?

eriksen was good throughout and when soldado came off he played more central. Therefore if Kane starts alone up top he will get the points against a leaky burnley side at home.

    Interesting ...

The possibility of a new role for Milner is intriguing. ‘We will work this week with the players to see who can play best in that position. It can be Silva, it can be Nasri, it can be Milner,’ said Pellegrini.

‘We must decide which is the best one. I always said James is a very useful player for the squad. At some moments he wants to play more but wherever he plays he is important. That is why we’ve kept him here.

‘Pozo is not a striker. We must try to find another way to play because our strikers will be out for at least one month more.’

The Klopp who's team is 3rd bottom in the Bundesliga? That Klopp? 😯

lol, jokes aside, I think he'd be my No.1 preference as replacement, but it would probably only happen in the summer. I don't think there's any manager in the world who I enjoy watching interviewed, absolute gentleman but great charisma and humor too, along with some mad moments to spice it up too 😀

Rodgers should get until the end of the season though, partly because none of the best managers jump around mid-season.

This was my dilemma. . Thought I was all set on a City def this week for Chambers but I can do Marney-Eriksen before the price change tonight which would leave me .4 to do Clyne to Demi next gameweek if I go the Eriksen route then would have to be done tonight. What should I do? Eriksen or City def this week?

            Guzan Elliot
            Baines Clyne Azpi Chambers Dummett
            Haz Sanchez Downing Siggy Marney
            Costa Austin Bony

Very difficult call. I get the appeal for a strong front 8 for this month but I don't usually like to play that way. I'm really not sure what I would have advised to be honest as I am not a tremendous Eriksen fan. I would have considered losing Siggy for Eriksen instead of Marney though, possibly. Eriksen just one of those frustrating players to own in my experiences, but it could work a trick. I think a big problem with most of the teams I see on here is the double Swans attack and it seems like time to move on from Siggy with Bony firing them in for fun.

But, what's done is done and your team does look very nice overall and I do like your plan to get Demi in quite a bit!

Thanks mate appreciate the honesty, could leave me with a benching headache for sure but Marney was on 4 YC and with rotation likely to kick in over xmas it leaves me with a strong 1st sub, also gives me a chance to make a bit of money and can also go back to a cheap 5th mid with the Jan WC if need be.

How am I looking for the upcoming GW lads?

    Guzan
    Demichelis - Azpilicueta - Yun Suk-Young
    Sanchez - Hazard - Yaya - Eriksen
    Rooney - Lukaku - Austin

Had exact funds for Baines + Siggy > Demichelis + Eriksen so pulled the trigger (-4).

May be a controversial move but Baines and Siggy have just not been bringing in the points lately. Wanted City and Spurs players for their plum fixtures.

Not a huge fan of that hit, Kurtinho, but could pay off. Looking good otherwise.

RVP has even less appeal at his price though... see the kane vs rvp debate below. lot of money to sink into one player that

Costa's underlying stats have actually improved compared to the start of the season according to the above article... the only difference is his finishing isn't as clinical. I'm sure the goals will come

RVP or Kane for the next 3 weeks? (Who scores higher in your view)

RVP should do, but Kane's fixtures are amazing so he could very well score more. You've got to consider their price as well. Kane is 7.5m cheaper, and with than 7.5m you can get an awful lot of upgrades elsewhere in your squad...

Also, Kane is playable every fixture until the last Jan WC week

Also, Kane does very well in the baps when he gets a goal, like today... Hard work, lots of tackles, crosses, shots, touches in the box, etc...

It helped him outscore Rooney and Bony today for instance...

      RVP I would imagine.
I mean if the lad is back on song then we know what he can do and he has had double figures last 3 out of four games...

Kane yet to score over 8.

Kane had that glancing header just wide, the top corner curler, and the late 1v1 chance that was saved... could sooo easily have been more than 1 goal today

... not to mention that he might have won a penalty as well, which he may have converted himself (not sure if that was before or after soldado going off)...

Ofc, it stops me from doing Duff > Demi for next week but City might concede to palace and also RVP gives me a captain option this week. Just can't captain Kane.

    Too late to buy Downing?

    A: Boyd -> Downing
    B: Boyd + Siggy -> Downing + Eriksen

    Front 8 now as follows:

    Yaya - Sanchez - Hazard - Siggy - Boyd
    Costa - Bony - Kane

It's never to late to buy Downing, he's involved in a lot but it would put you in a benching dilema with 5 good mids.

I wouldn't want to bench Costa or Bony in any match.
Kane's next couple fixtures are prime (BUR, lei) even after ManU & Chelsea they have Palace, West Brom and Sunderland.

Always a good choice, great value

I say go for A either way. Solid prospect for this coming week.
No need for the latter move IMO

Just enough money to do Rooney ➡ RVP.

    Rest of the team:-
    Adrián . McCarthy
    Baines . Taylor . Dummett . Clyne . Hutton
    Boyd . Sánchez . Sigurdsson . Downing . Hazard
Rooney . Diego Costa . Austin

Is it worth taking a hit to bring in carroll and kane for Perez (who scored against gunners and is coming off the bench for me which is nice) and dzeko?? hav bony and 5.8m itb and would like to hold on to it a while longer, also hav milner sice GW2/3 so recent article is interesting too.

With this midfield & a staggering 7 hits accumulated in hits for injury & impulsive reasons,
would you take one to stay below par with some homies?

(Marney) Hazard - Sanchez - Siggy - Oscar* (0.2m ITB)

    A) Oscar --> Eriksen (-4)
    B) Oscar --> Downing (-4)
    C) Stay put you worthless condom!

    Baines | Berty | Chambers | Dummet | Duff
    Chadli | Haz | Sánchez | Siggy | King
    Bony | Costa | Kane

    1 FT, 3.1 ITB?

    c. Chadli, Berty ➡ Yaya, 4.0 DEF
    d. Chadli, Baines ➡ Yaya, 5.9 DEF (probly Demi)
