In light of Sergio Aguero’s knee injury, we delve into the data to highlight a number of forwards’ weekend displays. Wilfried Bony and Robin van Persie’s fine form arrives under the spotlight, whilst we also assess Diego Costa’s recent toils for Chelsea. The Gunners’ weekend scorers and Tottenham’s in-form Dane are also amongst this evening’s topics as Fantasy managers look to spend that left over budget from the Aguero fall-out.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

          Nasri - Yaya - Navas

    Kompany >

    A) Mangala (nailed on & goal threat from corners but yellow card magnet)
    B) Demichelis (nailed on, least attacking threat, cheapest)
    C) Zabaleta (rotated with sagna, most attacking returns)

    Thanks

Clichys appeal is diminished now that Kolorov is back.
Kolorov will be used in some of the "easier" home games against teams that sit back and try keep it tight as he is more attacking minded

I was thinking of Mangala too but I now see he is one yellow away from a suspension so I think B and C are better options.
I'm in a similar predicament as I've no City cover I'm thinking of one of the following:
      a) Azpi > Zabeleta
      b) Azpi > Demichelis
      c) keep Azpi

  5. rickardinho

ugh, just as I was starting to like Mangala I see that he's on 4YC's.

Decent goal-threat but not worth it on 4YC's.

Zabaleta or nothing as far as I'm concerned

You dont need to get rid of Moreno this week, especially for -4. With Azpi and Baines you only need 1 more defender and Taylor has a nice fixture this week. Hull are muck

Is Eriksen essential? Spurs did not convince me today, prior to his goal I would say that his 5 points were more than he deserved.. Overall I have feeling that spurs are quite bad, but they get their wins somehow. Should I be getting him in?

    Have: Lukaku, Costa, Bony
    Sanchez, Hazard, Siggy, Downing

    Maybe for Siggy?

Definitely not essential and I'm an Eriksen owner. Two good fixtures to come but he blanked at home to Palace.

Only 3 SIB over last 5 games.

I wouldn't want 2 Swans attackers though and you have Bony

      1. mike_89

Swans also have nice 2 fixtures and I can see Siggy getting some points. Honestly I think that Siggy is playing better than Eriksen, he is just not getting it done.

This won't help, as I can't decide as to whether Siggy to Eriksen is worth it...Eriksen very inconsistent...(1,1,2, 10, 1, 2, 3, 14), but Siggy is too...at least he always looks part of the action and you know to pretty much drop him away from home.

Gets City defender in, maybe CB. I got zabs in this GW instead of Clichy and got a big fat 0 instead of an 8.

Dawson has to go this week right?

West Brom have 2 CS in the 2 games McAuley has been back for. With Hutton banned my options for this week

Regarding Mangala's card situation... he got YC's against EVE(A) and HUL(A), and one vs NEW in the league cup. Against Saints he got a YC and then a RC...

Was his red against Saints a straight red? Or a 2nd yellow? I'm assuming that it was a straight red or else his previous yellow would have been cancelled?

Do you ever make posts where you don't patronize the person asking a question?

Of course I've seen him play, but I don't think he's any more likely to get a red than Cahill was against Hull...

The red card against Southampton was Mangala's first ever red card.

            http://www.whoscored.com/Players/68852/History/Eliaquim-Mangala

Its stupid to compare, but Cahill has 2 in his career, and could very well have gotten one vs Hull.

CB's get sent off sometimes, its the nature of being last man.

The vast majority of my posts are answering questions from others, not asking RMT's and things.

I also find it useful to formulate analytical questions or generic posts as they help me focus my ideas and thinking about stats, players, fixtures, etc.. as well as helping me to remember things better and of course getting feedback. This is my first season and I want to keep the green arrows rolling in 😀

Re: mourinho rotating players, anyone have an inkling of who he'll bench in the coming weeks? Already have hutton and duff out, so if ivanovic doesn't play I may not have enough defenders...

Ivan is quite unlikely to be dropped.

ivan and terry got rested vs sporting so i think they'll be safe.

i expect cahill to get a rest vs Derby, and azpi to get rested in gw19, but other than that full house

        Thanks Rick!

Why do you think Azpi will be benched GW19?

3 games in 6 days, and Luis has to get games somewhere. I could be wrong of course, but I'll stay away due to the risk, however small.

Fwiw Luis was really poor against Hull, so I'd expect Azpi to play if fit about 95% of the time.
