A few weeks back we gave a shout-out to Fantasy Football Exchange, a new and fresh-faced weekly Fantasy Football experience. The guys behind the game kindly set up a Fantasy Football Scout league for Gameweek 12 with a £500 prize pot and a good number of you landed a nice little earner from it.

Now Fantasy Football Exchange are gearing up for the frantic next few weeks with a special Christmas tournament.

The £2500 Guaranteed Festive Challenge is a four-Gameweek long league which costs just £5 to enter. That’s a guaranteed prize pot, although that can rise even further as the entrant number increase.

The rules are simple: the ‘£2500 Guaranteed Festive Challenge’ runs from Gameweek 17 – 20 (starting December 20 and ending after the New Year’s Day fixtures), and you’ll be able to make unlimited transfers between now and when the league starts. Once it’s underway, you’ll have FOUR transfers available in total.

This is not a ‘winner takes all’ league, but one with a ‘sliding scale’ structure – so ALL the top finishers will scoop a slice of the prize pot.

Fantasy Football Exchange is a breeze to pick up, mainly because, at its core, the game is based on a similar ruleset to the Fantasy Premier League model we know and love. With very similar pricing, it’s a good bet that you’ll even be able to turn your current FPL squad into your FFE lineup.

There are some key differences, however. Firstly, FFE recognises that even the likes of Karl Henry deserve some love and have beefed up the points potential of defensive midfielders. The FFE bonus points are also allocated by collating the player rankings from three national papers to give our overall marks – arguably a fairer method of finding the top three players from each match.

If you missed out in Gameweek 12, you’ve every incentive to get involved ahead of this weekend and put yourself in the hat for a piece of that £2500.

Look out for FFE’s preview of the tournament over on their blog on Friday; we’ll be publishing the FFS squad on our social channels prior to the weekend deadline.

For more information visit FFE here.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      I have a couple...

      1. How do we pay to enter?

      2. Do the gameweek transfers go each week? i.e. can we make 0 transfers one week and three the next then have one left?

        Puntmaster, hi.

        1. You can deposit funds by clicking on 'Account Balance' at the top of the screen - this'll bring up a dropdown menu where you will see the words 'Deposit funds'. Any probs, drop us a line back.

        2. Yep, bang on - but the maximum you can make in one week is three.

Assistance required please, bench one and captain one from the following:

    Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Siggy, Downing
    Austin, Costa, Rooney

Is it mad to be considering benching Hazard or Costa? I have a feeling Siggy will do well against Hull. Currently leaning towards Rooney as captain though Austin also tempting. My rank is c. 21k

That's the problem with having such a strong front 8. Most weeks you will have the same dilemma.

Austin (c) Definitely wouldnt bench Hazard or Costa. Out of those I'd bench Sig or Alexis.

What do you think about the Steve Clark appointment?

      1. MBK 42

Yes, I may have to downgrade someone back to Boyd to save my sanity!

Fairly underwhelmed by Clark's appointment, though given some of the other names in the frame (Hoddle, Ince, Sherwood) he'll probably be OK.

Some fans were calling for McDermott's return, which frankly would have been a little ridiculous. I hope Clark does well, some cash to spend in January would go a long way (either that or some loan signings from Chelsea's reserves)

Depends what you do with the savings if you pick the cheaper ones. I like Clichy, he is in great form and scoring very well but him and Zab seems like overkill when both are at risk of rotation.

Right in a bit of a pickle guys, Mirallas,Tadic and Jovetic all injured and in my squad.

Tadic-->Silva/Nasri will be one for free as Tadic needs to go anyway.

Worth doing another for a -4? Mirallas may be back next week and I really wanna hold Jovetic if he makes it back for Burnley (will see what pelle says tomorrow). Could field an OK 11.

Cheers. Thing is, if I get Austin then I'd probably have to bench Siggy this week which doesn't feel great given Hull are depleted and in poor form. And then next week I'd have Austin and Downing with 2 very tough fixtures, and I wouldn't want to ditch either given I got Downing cheap and would have only just got Austin.

I kinda think I can afford to wait another week to ditch Dzeko, and by then we'll know how City are going to line up in attack.

Yeah, I'm in the 3-4-3 camp also.

It's probably the right move given there is likely to be some rotation over the next few weeks, so 8 decent attackers will probably be worthwhile.

"Deposits are accepted from UK registered cardholders only."

Not again, same thing like with every other game introduced on here (expect PlayON).

    Absolute BS. 😡

Sorry Root, where are you based? We are looking to be able to accept payment from outside the UK in the near future. In the meantime, please do get a feel for FFE by playing in our free league.

    Re-post.

Does it worth bringing in Austin for a hit and replace Costa or Rooney? This will give me money to upgrade mid.

    front 8 are :

    Ameobi - Catermolle - Downing - Haz - Yaya
    Bony - Costa - Rooney

      dicey

      maybe

you definitely need to upgrade one of Catermole or Ameobi but... you're dumping steady points... tough one...

I know - I am very confused , I will probably decide last minute.

Maybe I do Rooney to Austin?

As long as Wanyama and Schneiderlin play, Southampton will always be in with a chance of a CS. Fixtures have been nasty to them!

      Down right unlucky too.

Burney = Should have scored the pen.
      Utd = should have won
      Arsenal = should have drawn

Very unlucky it all happens at once. But you cant just blame luck - they need to be ruthless.

I was at Arsenal v Southampton and Arsenal definitely deserved to win. 19 attempts to 6.

only the Arsenal game was unlucky becoz of Alderwerield injury reducing to 10 men. United game they weren't clinical enough and Burnley game you have no one to blame but urself if u miss a pen.

Give us a try. Captain - we've got weekly leagues & monthly leagues and all with money at stake. Plus, every week we'll supply you with witty and informative content over at our blog - blog.fantasyfootballexchange.co.uk - to help you enjoy our game more, and win some cash into the bargain.

      In a nutshell...

We like: taking the mickey out Alan Pardew; making Fantasy Football more fun; picking a new team every week.

      We don't like: International breaks.

    Armbands as things stand

    Captain: Van Persie (villa)
    Vice Cap: Hazard (stoke)

Also in the running: Austin (WBA)

    Stick or change one/two?

Captain choice is perfect, I have the same with Austin as VC cuz Fabregas is back next GW and you can't rely on Hazard fetching shtloads of pts with him around 😉

Nasri better than Silva for fantasy points I think... maybe.. need to see them lineup first

Eriksen has form though while have to first see it with a strikerless lineup from the others
