QPR’s home hitman hogs the array of impressive numbers on show from the weekend, ably assisted by stellar showings from Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Elsewhere in our regular members’ statistical digest, we examine how Man City’s tactical tweaks influenced two of their key midfielders and analyse how a pair of returning United assets are hinting at major hauls as their minutes begin to build.

Does anyone know how the average position of a player is found?
Is it
a - the centroid of all the positions they have when they touch the ball
b - the average position - counting every second
c - the average position - counting every second the ball is in play
d - something else
Somebody knows?-
I'd like to know that too...
-
Good question, would also be interested.
I was wondering this the other day, what if someone plays right wing first half and left wing second half. Would their average position be somewhere in the middle?-
Should be, which is not really that informative - a heat map would be better for that scenario.
-
-
I just like the word 'centroid'
-
-
Goals against City, Everton, United, Newcastle and Liverpool for Giroud this season.
-
He scores when he wants 😀
-
-
Hart
Ivanovic - Dumment - Bertrand (Wisdom)
Sterling - Hazard - Siggy - Yaya (Bentaleb)
Austin - Bony - Costa
Should I upgrade Yaya/Silva?-
wait for siggy news
-
Okay. Thanks 🙂
-
-
Meh, if that's your team, I'd probably just bank the FT.
-
Phew. Thinking for a hit. Neway, thanks. I'll wait for Siggy news.
-
-
-
Chadli or Siggy to Silva or Erkisen.
Which one though?
It seems a shame to sell Chadli given then he seems to be back in the team but I'm not sure any spurs mid will play all of the next 3.
That said, I'm not sure Silva will either and he's never been a clinical goal scorer, despite his brace. Gone see the city game? What gives?-
Probably neither.
Chadli > Silva at a push.
-
-
Would you save FT in this case?
Pantilimon/Elliot
Baines, Hutton, Bertrand
Silva, Oscar, Hazard, Sánchez
Kane, Bony, van Persie
(Wanyama, Duff, Yun)
0.2 ITB-
Yes, great team, and I need your captain pick so I don't fail again!
-
Im going with RVP i think. Hazard my other consideration.
-
i agree newcastle looks shaky at the mo
-
van Persie has been so frustrating for me, owned him for the past 4 games, captained him in his two blanks 🙁
Not too sure whether to opt for him again.
-
-
-
Bony > Maxim Tsigalko 😉
-
I wish!
Just signed Radslaw Kaluzny-
Lets see your team ?
-
---------Tsigalko Skalidis
--------Doni Kerr Aghahowa
--------------Kaluzny
Bellini Rustico West Okoronkwo
--------------Chiotis
Only finishing first season with Atalanta currently
Want VDV-
Class team . Skalidis can be a pain in the arse it usually takes me a while to convince him to go anywhere . Andrey Milevski is one of my favourite players too
-
Mine too, He got pinched from me as well. Nikiforenko too
-
-
-
Zauri and Zenoni got pinched from me, didn't want to sell
-
You used the money wisely though and I hate when that happens . I'm playing 03/04 I went on holiday for a few days as Celtic manager and the board sold Larsson for 5 million
-
-
-
-
-
looks sweet
i wud save only really a Azpi / I van move i cud tempt u with
ps - did u buy silva before his haul if so what made u choose silva or nasri
i picked nasri becos of all the hype - just wntd to understand your view between the two?-
I picked him before his haul. I just really rate him and always have. Nasri only ever had one good season. The one before City brought him and he had pens.
-
-
I would like to see Baines to Zaba eventuakly but good for this week
-
I would transfer duff out, need your bench to be playing in case of rotation.
-
Solid team, I reckon you can save...
-
I'm considering Oscar out this week, I've been disappointed with him for what he costs.
-
Yeh i had planned on him out for Ramsey but then he got injured 🙁
-
I have a little more than you itb D1Sable, what do you think about him to ADM?
-
I just looked at options out for him and he crossed my mind, i'm not sure he sort of went off the boil and united see to be efficient at the mo rather than big scoring. Could work out though. I want Downing but seem stupid to bring him in against Chelsea then Arsenal.
Whats your team?-
Sorry, watching a film. It's in the mods league. Ads are over. 🙂
-
-
-
-
-
-
Should I give Boyd a run out this weekend at home to Liverpool or stick with Downing, who has a tough assignment away at Chelsea?
-
Downing.
-
This
-
-
Downing can wreck havoc regardless of who he's facing.
-
Never thought Id hear this ^
-
-
I'm benching Downing if Siggy is fit
-
-
clint hill on yun
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B5YF-bGCMAA2KN9.jpg:large-
Can't see him being risked against Arsenal and then a game two days later.

Link to pp cup for those still in there!
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/12/18/ffs-paddy-power-cup-x-third-round-draw/-
Tense wait for the team sheets tomorrow evening.
I have Terry + 4 points and my opponent has Azpi.-
Azpi will play, you should just make it .
I think I'm ok too,
Best a luck.-
He should do, an Azpi assist + 2 bonus would break my heart.
And to you.
-
-
-
I need a miracle tomorrow :(. Terry 15 pointer might not even do it
-
🙁
-
Luck of the cups. He has a 9k GW rank and Azpi, Hazard, and Costa left
-
I have those 3 too plus a (c) in there!
-
-
-
-
Me azpi +1pt
Him cahill + costa
Not looking good, though a costa blank and yc is not out the question
-
-
Guzan,
Azpi, Zabaleta, Baines,
Siggy, Sanchez (VC), Hazard (C), Downing,
Bony, Rooney, Austin
Any changes or what ? Want to bring in Cazorla (c) for a hit but hate taking hits-
1FT and £0.7 ITB 🙂 Starting to move towards top 10k (ranked 25k) , So I feel taking hits will slow my progress 🙁
-
QPR away is a good fixture but they haven't conceded more than two goals in like nine GWs or so. I don't expect Arsenal to score more than two goals. You practically have my same defense(looking to bring Zabaleta in right now for either Baines or Cresswell). I'm looking to bring in one between Cazorla and Silva as well....but i don't know.
-
-
You happy with Midfielder Wayne?
-
-
Team for week 18
Hart (Krul)
Clyne Hutton Lescott (Dummett & Moore)
Sanchez Hazard Yaya Sigurdsson (Downing)
Costa Kane Austin
£3.0m in bank.
Sigurdsson out for Silva -4? -
Hope haz smashes it
-
His face??
-
-
Team for GW 18, thoughts?
Pantimilion
Azpi, Hutton, Bavies
Hazard, YYT, Sanchez, Mirallas
Costa, Kane, Giroud
Hamer, Saylor, Yun, Downing -
Think I use my wildcard early and move to 3-5-2 until Aguero returns. There isn't much value in players like Rvp,Rooney,Costa,Lukaku etc.
Going to keep Costa cos I want atleast one reliable captain options.
Something like
Hazard-Sancez-Downing-Silva-Dimaria
Costa-Austin-Kane/Sakho
Some of us has already opted 5 big hitting mids. Would love to hear thoughts how has it worked so far.-
Im thinking along the same lines
-
Switch AdM to Fab and you have my front 7. 352 seems to be the way to go right now.
-
So you suggest to have Costa,Haz and Fab instead of spil the beans a little?
-
Nah, I'm just hanging on to Fab since I've had him from day 1 and he keeps delivering points (no big hauls though) consistently. Having AdM is probably better.
-
-
-
-
Evening ppl
What to do with Rooney!?
My front 3 are Costa, Austin & Roo
A, leave it and sort other pressing issues
B, Roo to Kane the upgrade Siggy to ADM with the funds
C, Roo to RVP to cover my ML rivals
Zero in the bank but I have 2 Free transfers, any advice appreciated-
I like B
-
Have same strikers. Already knee jerked Silva in for Siggy and think I need to remove Rooney as well.
B. Looks best option imo or if you want to take a punt then G'ru. -
Cheers lads, Do u think ADM will start the 2 games in 2 days? Thats my only worry with B
-
will know man u line up before deadline gw19 , ko 12pm
-
Cheers Rhinos I didn't realise that
-
-
Think he will start but doubt he play 90 mins in both.
-
Yeah i reckon you are right, Are you tempted to leave Rooney for 1 more game, we will be sick if he gets a brace or Man u get a few Pens
-
Probably keep him one more week. Unless I decide to go Giroud (c)
-
-
-
-
B looks best to me.
-
-
Injuries can be blessings in disguise
Forced me to get Kane & Pants in-
Yep...I remember when Costa got injured and I got Jovetic in
-
-
Whats odds on costa anytime goal scorer?
-
probably same as odds for yellow/red card
-
was something like 1.90.
-
Is that good?
-
It is about 50% chance to score basically based on bookies odds.
-
9/10
yes imo.
-
-
-
Same odds for no baps.
-
If he scores two (which is due) he is pretty much guranteed bonus
-
+1
I certainly hope so after all those Yaya,Silva,Austin cappers. -
I've no idea of your team, but I'm guessing Costa(c)
-
-
-
Around the evens marker. To get a yellow or red card at 15/8 looks better though, I reckon.
-
-
what to do with this team?
Hart
Hutton - Azpi - Wisdom - Dummet - Yun
Sanzhes - Hazard - Downing - Siggy - Boyd
Rooney - Austin - Costa
1 ft
3-5 itb
A) Wisdom--> Zabaleta\ Demichelis
B) Boyd (4 yc) --> Lampard\ Milner (rotates well with siggy)
C) Siggy --> Silva\ ohers
D) Rooney --> Giroud\ RVP
E) Austin --> Giroud
F) Save
I know my defence is crap.. but dont know what i have to do first.. Toughts? -
Do people on here expect Hutton to return next week? Surely 3 CBs last game against United was a tactical reshuffle that won't continue.
-
it was because he was suspended, he's coming back in
-
Doh my bad. Thanks. That was obvious. Don't know why I thought that was the gameweek before. ha
-
-
-
Maybe asked a hundred times before but..
How was Sanchez tonight? Did (c) him so yeah that didn't work out quite as hoped, but still thinking about giving him the armband for next week. But yeah, missed tonights game so not sure on performance.-
He was pretty invisible, honestly. Cazorla stole the show imo
-
Hmm, thats concerning.. Will be a pretty big gamble with (c) for next week then
-
-
He was poor today, looked tired and lost the ball quite a few times
-
-
Is Tadic back to face Palace?
-
On 2 FTs, so I need to utilize at least one of them. Trouble is, I only have 0.2 in the bank, so it looks like upgrading Moore with only one transfer can't be done.
Any stand out issues in the team below?
Guzan - 4.0
Baines - Cahill - Wisdom - Naylor - Moore
Fabregas - Silva - Siggy - Downing - Sanchez
Costa - Austin - Bony -
God bless ya Vergini. 7 points out of nothing for Siggy not playing.
-
Are Swansea selling Bony in January?
-
No.
-
You mean, Are City buying Bony in January?
-
Lol
-
I was thinking more Liverpool than City
-
-
-
Ok so lets list the Jan WC Essentials. Here is mine:
Sanchez
Hazard
Austin
City Def-
Same as above but it consistently changes
-
ye ur right but the essentials don't change i don't think
-
-
No one is essential.
-
-
Foster
Zab , Ivan , Chambers
Boyd, Hazard , Sanchez , Eriksen , Oscar
Austin , Bony
Mannone , Carroll , wisdom, Caulker
3.9m in bank
Boyd > Sterling ?-
Ot could do Carroll > Giroud
-
Eriksen to silva or yaya
-
-
What gw does jan wc start???
-
21 I think
-
can be used after gw 20 starts
-
"The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 20 starts (1 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 23 ends (7 Feb 11:30)."
-
As soon as GW20 deadline has passed, I think.
So like FatherTed says, ready for GW21.
-
-
So falcao has upset Rvps numbers, if only he we're fit and nailed....
-
RVP (C) again I guess, home to newcastle should be points galore
-
Man utd have had some lucky results recently remember the saints game. Totally outplayed. Man city better fixtures without a doubt. No man utd players for me.
-
-
Who is best captain for next games....Sanchez or giroud....I'm thinking giroud......Sanchez may even be rested....thoughts?
-
I'm thinking Costa or Haz.
-
-
Nasri and Baines to ADM and Mangala. Do I do these transfers or stick?
