QPR’s home hitman hogs the array of impressive numbers on show from the weekend, ably assisted by stellar showings from Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Elsewhere in our regular members’ statistical digest, we examine how Man City’s tactical tweaks influenced two of their key midfielders and analyse how a pair of returning United assets are hinting at major hauls as their minutes begin to build.

Secretly hoping Costa gets injured tomorrow to give me an excuse to switch to Falcao/RVP
-
I would agree but I have him captain. Maybe midweek injury?
-
he'll get a yellow card and 0 goals .. that is enough reason
-
-
What would you choose?
A) Foster / Baines / Downing
OR
B) 4.0 / O'Shea / ADM-
Who's the other keeper?
-
Guzan
-
-
A
-
-
Who to bring in to replace Lukaku for free?
Rooney
Benteke
Giroud-
Giroud
-
giroud
-
Benteke or Giroud
I'll say Benteke. Better fixtures. -
Already have sanchez though
-
Giroud is scoring goals though. Sanchez has not been.
-
-
Giroud
-
-
are people considering caz for captain over alexis because they think the latter will be rotated?
-
No.
Sanchez has been poor, Cazorla has been top class.-
he was poor today but that was because arsenal didn't have enough of the ball
-
He was Arsenals best player by a mile! I thought he was good anyway
-
-
Sanchez only had 1 bad game today. Arsenal had 35% possession so he didn't really get the opportunity to do something
-
-
His form has been on the slide for four weeks.
-
-
I'm very tempted to WC.
-
😆
-
My team is awful! Haha
-
Utd will get through this
-
-
-
Don't 🙁
-
-
Need to upgrade a defender to someone who plays but which is the best option?
2FTs
1.
Downing-------->Adam Johnson
Bartley----------->4.1 Def (Blackett/Richards (Swa) etc.)
2.
Downing------->Walters
Bartley------->4.9 Def (N Taylor etc.)
3.
Downing----->Milner
Bartley------> Toure (Liv) (Already got Yaya)
4.
Downing----->Ki
Bartley------->Debuchy
5.Wait & See
Front 8 is currently:
Downing, Yaya, Sanchez, Boyd, Hazard
Costa, Benteke, RVP-
Don't get rid of Downing, if anything downgrade a striker
-
dont get rid of downing after chelsea they have leaky defences
-
-
wisdom to zab make sense if i already have baines and azpi??
-
yep
-
agree
-
-
Am I right in thinking the January wildcard has to be used before game week 23 starts?
-
The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 20 starts (1 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 23 ends (7 Feb 11:30).
-
ohhh 1 january -7 february, GW 20 - GW 23
-
-
I think it's before February 7th?
-
Thanks both
-
-
Thoughts on Rooney > Giroud (C)?
I know Newcastle looked leaky as well, but Rooney on midfield is a worry - didn't even move up front with RVP off the pitch.
Would also give me the funds to upgrade Siggy to a premium mid if it looks likely that he'll be out.-
did it yesterday to fund Siggy > Silva
-
Fair enough. I'm more thinking about it on its own merits, though. Cheers though!
-
-

Lost at bottom of last page:
Any ideas what to do with this lot? 2 FT, £0 ITB...
DDG - Elliot
Baines - Naylor - Bruce - Wisdom - Hutton
Siggy - Sanchez - Yaya - Hazard - Fer
Austin - Bony - Rooney
Getting frustrated by Rooney in midfield and also looking to get rid of Baines and Siggy
Any suggestions appreciated 🙂 -
This is my team
Guzan
Azpili, Zabaleta, Taylor
Hazard, Fabregas, Sanchez, ADM, Silva
Bony, Kane
Hamer, Austin, Duff, Hutton
Over the course of four weeks:
1. Guzan to Adrian
2. Taylor to Alderweireld
3. Silva to Boyd
4. Bony to Aguero (Bony will be off to African's Cup and hopefully Aguero would be fit by then)
Any way to improve my team?-
ohh bony go to african cup
-
-
Right. Whos everyone making captain for boxing day?
-
Hazard.
But Cazorla will tempt me if I get him. -
bony
-
Haz/Costa depending on tonights game. Sanchez might be a bit risky and I think owning Silva is enough though maybe everyone will have him by Boxing Day 😆
-
Hazard or Harry Kane.
-
Hazard or Bony
-
Sanchez (C)
Haz (VC) -
Hazard
-
Hazard(c) Yaya(vc)
-
Sanchez
-
-
A) Zaba (wba) and Lukaku (STO)
B) Hutton (swa) / Coloccini (mun) and Giroud (QPR)
C) Zaba (wba) and Giroud (QPR) (-4)
?-
B with Hutton
-
C
-
B with Hutton.
-
Cheers
-
-
C
-
-
Baines owners...sticking? He has decent fixtures but has terrible form and Mirallas is back.
-
Just get rid otherwise every week will be a "just give him one more chance" scenario.
He's shockingly bad value currently.
Imagine any other position being filled by a 7.3m player who has got around 7 points in the last 5 game weeks -
one more chance with Stoke. anything less than 6 pts he's gone for Zaba
-
Probably just get rid when I WC
-
-
Double Baggies defence v City next week should go well.
-
-2 will be cool
-
-
Play Lukaku or Giroud gwk 18?
-
Sorry I meant Lukaku or Austin
-
Lukaku
-
Thats an incredible selection headache... QPR not good away from home so Lukaku
-
Draft side, other 2 strikers are RVP and Giroud.
-
-
-
-
Any transfers jump out to you? 2.2 ITB
--------------------De Gea
--------Baines | Zabaleta | Davies
Hazard | Sanchez | Yaya Toure | Eriksen
-----------Kane | Austin | Lukaku
________________________________________
Elliot | Downing | Cissokho | Moore-
Lukaku > Benteke?
-
Not sure if I could keep the faith with Lukaku if I were you
-
Yes Lukaku to Giroud
Then do Benteke the following week and keep
-
-
Adam Johnson is starting to look like an attractive FPL prospect.
I think it's time to go to bed 🙁-
Really? Hmm, may draft him in for my draft side.
-
encore encore
-
-
Potential Siggy replacement but I don't even own Downing! 🙄
-
If he has another good week, I'm picking him up. Last year he went on a great run of games for 5-6 weeks as I recall, and I missed it.
-
-
Sounds like everyone transfering in last weeks points
-
Evenin Trigger
And you're not I take it? -
So much easier to play the game that way. Not more effective, but easier.
-
Im saving mine unless i get an injury tomoz
-
If that means Zabaleta, then it's smart. Downing on the other hand...
-
I'm saving and your thoughts on Alexis Sanchrez getting rested ? .
-
That's how early everyone acts. Reactionary instead of proactive. Reactionary you at least have some sort of form to guide you, taking proaction you're basically just guessing
-
I'm transferring in Silva's future points.
-
I got them all this week. You can do a feature on your blog when i reach 100pts tomorrow 😉
-
-
Thoughts on Giroud and Fab in for Sanchez and Costa soon ? Saves a lot of money on Chelsea Arsenal cover and allows money for Bolasie > AdM to leave me all for free by NYD:
Hart Mccarthy
Zabaleta Ivanovic Chambers Hutton Yun
Adm Hazard Sterling Fab Yaya
Kane Austin Giroud
(Yaya back to Sanchez when he goes ACON )-
what u doin w/ ChambO? os rob bak next gw and chamb will be benched.
id still w/ snachez, and dc maybe.-
Sorry mate I was downstairs , I don't know what to do with Chambo tbh, I got him so cheap and his so versatile I may just keep him as a 4th defender , I have Yun and Hutton to go with Zaba and Ivan so Yun seems first priority his off to Asia cup soon and QPR can't keep CS, i'd like a Sunderland defender in for Yun
-
simple. at some pt drop chambo for debuchy ho is nailed and scored 2day. debuchy is one of my fave def regardless, last yr he as a yc risk w new, dude reminds ame a lot of the famous french FB.
-
Sun def that wh ima lso looking, btn oshea and vergini.
-
-
-
mate, we are exactly tied haha.
im on 992 pts and ure on 993.-
Run that 'exactly' bit by us again? 🙂
-
-
we both have screwed up the C hoice last 2 gw. huge diff to be top 500 so far.
austin i wetn sakho
and the dcosta - haz c -
Sigur thats another i might drp. who did u drop him for?
-
-
Saving FT this week, then Bony & Kane -> Austin & Benteke ?
Alexis - Hazard - Yaya - Eriksen (Downing)
Bony - Kane - Costa-
Looks good
-
Great plan
-
-
Did Arsene say that Sanchez will be rested? Or is it just an assumption based on his performance today.
-
Assumption. He did look tired though
-
Its a very risky assumption
-
he didn't say anything, but think he'll be rested vs. QPR home. 2 tough away games after, and Wenger can't lose more points.
-
-
I didn't watch Liverpool v Arsenal but the general feeling I'm getting is that Sanchez was poor, looks tired and needs a rest which will most likely be against QPR this week. If that's the case, the following transfers for a hit?
Sanchez --> Cazorla
&
Sakho --> Giroud-
keep sanchez
-
Don't go by what you read here. Watch the game yourself. All kinds of biases at play here.
-
Yeah, true. Will watch the replay in a couple of hours. Since I live in Australia the game was live at 3AM which is waaaaayyyyy to early for my liking.
-
-
-
So why was Bony on the bench and Gomis started for the first time this season?
Was it to adapt the team to Gomis?
Regardless of what the transfer window may bring, Bony will be missing for a month to play in the Africa Cup of Nations and Garry Monk, the Swansea manager, picked the Frenchman Bafi Gomis in his place on Saturday with Bony’s absence in mind.-
Probably
-
yes-bony should start next game
i don't fancy gomis-dont think he has 'it'
watch out instead for modou barrow-he'll have time to play
-
-
A better bet for gwk 18...
A) Montero
or
B) Adam Johnson
This post is made in sincerity, as it's for my draft side.-
AJ
-
does anyone notices any liverpool player? they have decent fixtures ,vs burn,SWA,LEI
-
Draft game mate, I'm in a league with two Canadian and Irish Liverpool supporters who have monopolized their squad. Ridiculous.
-
-
-
-
I'm mulling over sterling, he's got great fixtures, being playing up front, his stats look decent and this change in formation appears to be helping. However I'm worried about how he looked to have got moved to left back at the end of the game, is this a sense that he's not cut out for the striker role or even worse is Rodgers losing the plot
-
I'm also mulling him over. Just can't resist going back again...
-
Want to get him but afraid he'll get rested the week I do. He's played something like 45 straight EPL games for Pool.
-
Plenty of those on the bench though
-
-
He's definitely going to get a rest, didn't Rodgers confirm it?
-
-
does anyone notices any liverpool player? they have decent fixtures ,vs burn,SWA,LEI
-
United and Arsenal have each a piss easy game coming
Want to cover some potential risks. Giroud looks the best option for Arsenal. United it seems spread across a number of players. Anyone agree with this?
I bought Kane last night but now I'm not so sure :-/ -
Chances of Lukaku being benched vs. Stoke?
He's been very poor.-
He scored
-
for the other team 🙂
-
-
-
TFPL seems to be on lt's last legs
-
Hacked by North Korea?
-
It's been poor for a couple of years now, looks like Frank has given it up for time being anyway. Does that mean we'll get x-ray and the other wannabe gangsta's over here? 😉
-
