For 364 days a year, we can be forgiven for devoting our attention to the merits of acquiring Alan Hutton; today we really should focus on friends and family.

Having said that, the cunning Fantasy Football manager will always sneak five minutes to scan that Boxing Day fixture list one more time as the mince pies are warming. So, while I’ve got your attention, I’d like to extend a very Merry Christmas from myself, and all those involved in Fantasy Football Scout, to you and your families.

Once again, I must thank you all for the outstanding support you’ve shown the site – although I’ll reserve further sentiment for the New Year message, along with a preview of things to come from us in 2015.

For now, you ought to get back to mulling over Alan Hutton, whilst pretending to listen to that anecdote that the Father-in-law told last year. And the year before that. Get back to it: they’ll be missing you.

Having said all this, be sure pop back later today for our views on Gameweek Differentials, the Boxing Day armband, our Mondogoal tips and our round-up of all the great things to come from you, the community, in the past week. We’re all friends and family here.

Merry Christmas.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Don't doubt, on form and against a QPR side who will concede goals. Gru is a great choice and if i go Caz i'll be hoping its him who is providing all the assists!

There really isn't any Chelski fan on this site who would know the line up for match tomorrow!? I don't expect it today, but surely there must be some reports an hour earlier than it's official.

Normally for Liverpool there are news about line up almost for every match and it is 95% accurate so I am sure there will be also the same with Chelski?

It would be good to know, since my captain is Bony, but would probably change it, if Hazard would start.

Chelsea are playing WHU. What are they, 4th? And it's a derby. It won't be easy, he shouldn't be a captain option anyway. Im not even bothered if he doesn't play.

I know, but just for example: prior to Man Utd - Liverpool match, there were news about Jones starting in goal a day before. So I am almost sure that there must also be someone close to Jose who will have any news about line ups..

    RMT please. 2FT. 4.3 ITB.

    Panti Elliot
    Baines Naylor Hutton Wisdom Yun
    Fab Haz Sanchez Downing Boyd

          I replied earlier

Sorry. Just saw your earlier reply. Thanks for the reply!!!
The problem with YYT is that i would be buying for just 3 games. He could be rested for one of those (unlikely) or get a YC and get suspended. Also would lose a lot of value on both Haz and Fab.
            Will do Yun to Zab.
You think i should be patient with Sanchez and not do Sanchez to Silva? His goals seem to have dried up a bit...

Sorry only just saw this! Hmm no I wouldn't do that just now. See how he plays tomorrow cos he can very easily score double figures in any match. Not that Silva cannot, but Samchez is due.

With all the speculation and uncertainty about team line-ups, especially at this time of the year, maybe it's the right time to bring this up, don't think I've seen it mentioned before, but wouldn't doubt that it has.
In the NRL (Rugby League) fantasy comps, there is a rolling lock-out in place, you can still do transfers, change your team line-up etc right up until kick-off for each match. Once a game has started, players from those teams are locked and you can't sub them out, transfer them out etc, but you can still tinker with the rest of your squad if they haven't played yet. Would it make FPL too easy, or take a lot of the strategy away from the game if there was a similar set-up?

bench downing and play austin. I would captain eriksen or kane.

no transfers needed for me although you would be praying sunderland don't concede

      Two SAFC defence?
Hull will score, because Sunderland will attempt to attack Hull and not contain,

What about Jones for Clichy? Bought Clichy right after Kolarov got injured and must say I didn't regret it. But now time has come to get rid of him because of the rotation risk.

I know chances are there that Clichy will play this week as Kolarov played 90 min last week, but do the transfer now I could also benefit from United at home at Newcastle... any thoughts?? Maybe other options?

    Currently have:
    Panti / Krul
    Bertrand / Davies / Hutton / Yun / Clichy

    Thx guys 🙂

So I need a goalie for the coming GW's.

    - Szchezhny has QPR, whm, sot, STK. Ars defence is pretty bad, though. 2 cs to be expected?
    - Guzan has swa, SUN, CPL, lei. Cheaper than Szceshny, but not as good a team. 1 cs to be expected?
    - Jones has bur, SWA, LEI, sun, avl. Pretty leaky defence, and also a rotation risk.

I'm leaning towards Guzan. Any input? Already have Vergini for Sunderland defensive cover.
