if YAYA out should i
bring in sterling and captain him
or bring back hazard? -
So I should be through to the paddy power FFS cup round 6 unless sterling gets -1 or less...
-
Congrats!
I'm depending on Siggy to outscore 4 + Taylor.
It'll be sad to go.
-
-
Worst score of the season with 25 (Zaba 0, Dummett 0, Yaya captain, Austin VC).
Just lucky I switched from Forster to Hamer (8pts) at 11.29 this morning.
I assume everyone has had a shocker, though 😉-
39, doubled up on Villa, Hutton and Guzan.
-
-
Expected risers/Fallers ?
-
Zaba and Silva to rise
-
Benteke is really really close but FFF says tomorrow (wouldn't be surprised if he did too)
RVP, AdM and Lukaku to fall -
Thanks you see my Yaya> Sterling Query?
-
Yup, replied. Go for it imo. Wait for news on Yaya before you do (unless a price change is expected)
-
Cheers he seems the obvious choice for me Adm would be nice but those injuries.
-
Isn't expected back for Stoke anyway according to the link Demi just posted. Guess he'll have to wait until the WC
-
-

Goodbye Charlie 🙂
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrfY7RNaBjw-
Pop music hasn't really advanced much since, the more time goes by, the more they amaze me.
-
I still think Stenmark is the best ever
-
-
@Demi
Do you really think Sanchez will be a must-have come February if Walcott is back?-
I know Sanchez will keep scoring just as he's doing so far. If so, the question will be whether to get him and Walcott or just him. Can't really tell when Walcott will be back to 100% fitness, but the money saved would come in handy. Just much easier to trust Sanchez and i think he'll be more nailed on too.
-
I had a mess around before, I was trying to find a way to get Sturridge as I plan a late wc.
It's basically impossible to have all of Sanchez, Hazard, Aguero and Sturridge-
Rooney over Sturridge? and Kane as 3rd fwd
-
-
-
-
Which one:
A. Yaya/Eriksen > Sterling (c) (and play Wisdom (whu)) (Boyd comes in if yaya doesn't play)
B. Yun > Liverpool def (except skrtel), Kelly, collocini (and play yaya and eriksen, Boyd comes in of yaya doesn't play )-
b. eriksen has good fixtures coming up and Yaya will score coming GW before he departs..
-
-
OK, let me rephrase....will any of Chelsea's strongest XI get rested NYD
Courtois
Ivan Terry Cahill Azpi
Fabregas Matic
Willian Oscar Hazard
Costa-
Ivan and Costa possibly
-
and terry
-
-
My working assumption is no.
No Premier League games for 10 days after that and Spurs away is a pretty big / tricky game. Surely first choice XI?-
Surely a shadow XI can take care of Watford at home - the likes of Luis, Zouma, Remy, Drogba, Schurlle, Mikel, Salah, Etc
-
-
Dunno, but Terry looked a little tired today.
-
I can't see it tbh.
-
Obi mikel might start again. So maybe William or Oscar will be benched
-
I don't think so.
-
Oscar maybe - tactical more than resting. Think he might want Mikel or Ramires to try and cope with their attacking mids.
-
-
To buy Silva or not to buy Silva?
Pros: On form, clinical finishing, rising in price, nice fixture next gameweek
Cons: Unsustainable goal scoring output, Jovetic pushing him deeper, couple of tough fixtures on the horizon (and, for me, buying Silva would require a hit)-
I feel like I have missed the boat. If I buy him I think he would stop scoring / get injured.
-
Same here. But it pains me every time I see he has scored...
-
could be true - but Jauary WC 8and FT's in between) - so no big deal if not taking a hit for him at least
-
-
-
Best Yaya replacement? Currently running Haz -Siggy -Sanchez -Yaya
A. Fab
B. Sterling
C.Silva
D.Other & who-
C)
B)
A)
but close call -
A. Consistent
B. Mercurial
C. In form-
Really like how fab is so consistent so I'm kind of leaning towards him, although if sterling is coming in to form that would be a tough one, going to watch tomorrow and see how sterlo does
-
-
-
Is Yaya > Silva and Siggy > Sterling for a hit worth it?
-
Yes
-
Yaya to Silva is fine. I would until after tomorrow's game before considering the other move.
-
-
Did Baines play OOP LM / LW today? Just looking at the team sheet.
-
whats O0P ?
-
out of position
-
out of position 🙂
-
-
yep, doubt he will again tho
-
who was left back?
-
Garbutt
-
Luke Garbutt - youngster with bright future
-
-
Tactical switch i guess. yeah would not expect it too often. Everton are trying everything to tighten up.
-
-
-
What shall I do?
Guzan (Foster)
Zabaleta Hutton Azpilicueta (Wisdom) (N.Taylor)
Sanchez Sigurdsson Downing Hazard (Cattermole)
Rooney Austin Costa
0.6 ITB -
Points check?
30 here with Sterling to go. Red arrows again, awful festive period!-
40, Kolo and Siggy to play
-
Not usually one to brag but 15.
-
33(-4) with sterling. Also a double xmas red arrow 🙁
-
34 plus Sterling for me.
Also had a rubbish time of it fantasy wise, four straight red arrows taking me from 193 > 2411, though I'm pretty sure I'll rise a bit tomorrow night. -
37 with Siggy
-
41
(C) fail
Siggy -
42 + 6 points from Evans coming from the bench.
-
30 + Wisdom (1) and Siggy from the bench
-
39 with Siggy left
-
-
Save FT?
Hart
Evans, Baines, Hutton
Hazard, Silva, Eriksen, Downing
Costa, Rooney, Austin
Foster; Azpi, Jedinak, Duff
I'm tempted to get Sterling in for Eriksen but that means I'd have to take a hit. -
Anybody planned what they think their Jan WC team will look like?
One I like:
Lloris - 4.0
Terry - Zabaleta - Debuchy - Aldeweireld - Hutton
Sanchez - Hazard - Fabregas - Downing - Boyd
Aguero - Austin - Kane-
Looks good, I like that midfield a lot
-
Way to heavy on the defense
-
More than I'd normally spend, but why not when there's so much value in the budget attackers
-
-
I have Loris and a 4.0
Thinking I'll go Mannone and Panti instead
I like Debuchy
I'll be wc late so for me United cover is a must with out fixtures-
Cutting down on the defence and then doing Downing to AdM/other premium mid is also interesting
-
There may be Sturridge to factor in
-
Ooo yeah this makes an even nicer team
-
-
-
Fixtures. You won't want Downing.
-
United have nice fixtures. Other than that looks mint
-
I'm looking towards the end of jan so Walcott may come into my thinking.
I probably won't have fabregas and may well stick with Siggy in the mid too.
The front 3 is what I would also go for.
I will probably stick with two rotating keepers too -
Might need someone to rotate with Austin when he plays away?
-
-
What's the news with Yaya? Thought he was just rested? Surely gonna play vs Sunderland before he goes to Africa...?
-
He may not. I'd say its more a 50% chance than 75
-
front page
-
Bit of an injury, to be assessed
-
You make an early transfer Mj?
-
Nope.
-
Mmm must have read that wrong-plans?
-
-
-
-
Scout tweets say groin injury
-
Cheers just read the Pellegrini quote. Pure posturing, that. I read that Yaya is fine but having blown two points, he was too embarrassed to say he rested him.
Yaya stays.
-
-
-
Don't get the obsession with bent eke on here.
I really don't.-
It's just that Villa are so poor
-
Agreed. But why would everyone slam in a player for a poor team (bar hutton and vlaar) who aren't going to create enough chances for him.
-
Mob theory and strength in numbers.
We all get caught up in it at times Pug.-
Best not to be a member of the groupthink phenomenon
-
Agree sometimes tho that noise is deafening!
-
-
-
-
-
purely fixtures and past form
-
People like his fixtures but I think it's gone a bit too far as well.
-
I'm not surprised
-
Fixtures, pens, undroppable. Just need villa to fire and stop getting players sent off.
-
6 games
2 goals
1 assist
at 7.9 mill that's very dropable when you have kane and austin.-
He means for villa, sherlock
-
I'm on about for fantasy, dipsh it
-
And he wasn't talking about that.
-
That wasn't clear at all.
So why are you being an absolute pr ick?-
Irony
I'm not the one calling others dipshite-
Do you know what irony is?
Not sure you do.
-
-
Wait a sec. Even more ironic

-
Obviously he hasn't exploded. The point is he can and probably will, a class act.
-
No precedence for this. Massive assumption.
-
Well he didn't become a £25m player by playing like Carlton Cole.
-
Thats the value you give. I say he's more 12mill
Bony is a 25-30 million striker.
-
-
-
-
-
No-one from Villa is droppable unless you mean from the Villa team itself.
-
-
Nostalgia
-
This
-
-
look up the word obsession
-
Don't shut the F up about.
This morning everyone was throwing him into their teams.
Lunacy scores.-
"bent eke" - are you a cretin?
-
Macbook does what it wants.
-
-
-
-
He is a great combination of characteristics, strong and physical, pacey enough and clinical.
It just doesn't convert into points a lot of the time. -
Because he has looked awesome since returning from. His ban. He is getting plenty of chances when villa keep 11 men on the pitch.
-
-
Total captain score, last 5 gameweeks: 14
Anyone done worse?!-
14 after double or before double
-
No. Got a combined score of 0 from the last two though.
-
-
Best replacement for Clyne. 6.2m to spend
Have Hutton & Zabs
Thinking Cresswell or Skrtel?-
Probably Skrtel if he doesn't pick up that 5th booking tomorrow. Caulker/Clark if you can use the extra money elsewhere.
-
Not keen on Cresswell with WBA and Hull at home?
Skrtel is on the watchlist
-
-
-
Guzan
Zaba, Azpi, Chambers
Yaya, Sanchez (C), Hazard, Downing
Costa, Austin, Benteke
(Jakupovic, Hutton, Boyd, Wisdom)
£1.3m and 2FTs
Worried I have TRIPLE(?!) Villa, and want to get rid of Yaya and Chambers too.
Yaya to Silva and Chambers to..?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks -
GW20 Captain?
-
Sterling
-
Silva or Sterling for me. Depend on how Sterling perform tomorrow
-
Austin again. Maybe Sterling. Not easy.
-
Sterling , Austin , Silva
-
Silva/Yaya.
-
-
Which?
A. Yaya/Eriksen > Sterling (c) and play Wisdom (whu)
B. Yun > Liverpool defence, then captain Jovetic and play yaya and eriksen (Boyd comes in incase of yaya no show) -
Need opinion on who to bench :-
Foster | Pantilimon
Skrtel | Baines | Clichy | Hutton | Naylor
Sterling | Hazard | Silva | Sanchez | Siggy
Costa | Austin | Kane
Pantilimon & Kane are the obvious two. Still need to bench two more.
Cheers.-
Naylor and Hutton
-
-
Liverpool rumored side for tomorrow nights game
Mignolet
Skrtel - Emre Can - Sakho
Moreno - Lucas - Henderson - Manquillo
Coutinho - Sterling - Lallana
(Moreno and manquillo as wing backs)-
Can CB, doubt it
-
Remember this post when the team news gets released tomorrow night and we will see if I was right
And why u doubt can at CB. He played there last game for the 2nd half
-
-
-
Was delph's red a correct decision today?
-
Not seen it yet but yes IMO.
-
You normally only get yellows for that so he maybe a little harsh when you put it into context
-
As a benteke owner I feel seriously aggrieved at the officials decisions in all f the recent reds for Villa. They are far from a dirty team yet the refs have been reaching for the reds so quick it sees they are not even giving themselves time to review their decision before administering the punishment.
-
-
Probably, went in late with studs up.
-
-
Relax, most of us got a low score tonight, so we won't loose that much ground to the risers. Keep faith in your teams and consider carefully which move to make 🙂
-
Zab cut his head today. Would a thing like that be used as an excuse to rest him vs Sunderland for Sagna?
-
I have zaba and would love him to start, but I think Sagna is getting a run next
-
-
Out of FFS cup with 43-44 scoreline. Sore one considering i brought Zaba in for Ivan.
-
So is Zabaleta going to be rested vs Sunderland? Sagna's turn is it folks?
-
Yeah, probably.
-
Sagna will next play in the cup imo
-
Not after today's result I don't think
-
No he will play.
-
wondering the same. Cut his head today. looked nasty. Hoping he starts still though. conceding two won't help his cause 🙁
-
Skrtel cut his head at Arsenal and didn't miss a game, was bandaged up at Burnley. It's not a game missing injury.
-
True. He is a warrior though 🙂
-
-
-
No. He'll play Sun. Sagna will play FA cup. These are my suspicions.
-
Probably
