Danny Welbeck is a doubt for Arsenal’s visit to St Mary’s. Everton’s Tim Howard is out for up to six weeks with a calf injury. Palace skipper Mile Jedinak is unavailable for the trip to Villa due to the upcoming Asia Cup. Yaya Toure confirms he was rested for the weekend draw at Burnley and is not injured, whilst James Tomkins misses the Hammers’ home clash with West Brom due to suspension.

Arsene Wenger has concerns over Danny Welbeck as Arsenal head to Southampton. The Gunners boss has conceded the forward may miss out due to a thigh problem, though Tomas Rosicky returns to the squad after being rested at West Ham.

Ciaran Clark (back) and Tom Cleverley (foot) will be assessed for Aston Villa’s home match with Crystal Palace, whilst Joe Cole is back in training and available for selection. Fabian Delph is ruled out for three matches due to suspension.

Palace are without skipper Mile Jedinak for the Villa clash – the midfielder has joined up with the Australian national team ahead of the Asia Cup.

Yaya Toure has refuted Manuel Pellegrini’s suggestion that he missed the weekend clash with Burnley due to a groin injury. The Ivorian has confirmed he was merely rested for the 2-2 stalemate and hopes to be involved against Sunderland.

Tim Howard is sidelined for up to six weeks with a calf complaint for Everton. Phil Jagielka, John Stones and James McCarthy will be assessed prior to the trip to Hull, though Tony Hibbert, Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar and Darron Gibson all remain out.

Bojan is set for hamstring scans ahead of Stoke’s home encounter with Man United. Mark Hughes has conceded he expects the Spaniard to miss out, though Jon Walters is expected to fully recover from the illness that forced him onto the bench last time out. The Potters’ boss has revealed he is set to contact the Senegal FA in an attempt to postpone Mame Biram Diouf’s departure to the African Cup of Nations until after the Gameweek 21 clash with Arsenal.

Seb Larsson has returned to training after sustaining a weekend ankle injury and “has a chance”, according to Gus Poyet. Liam Bridcutt won’t be risked, though, after he was forced off with a head injury on Sunday.

James Tomkins is ruled out through suspension for West Ham’s home clash with West Brom, though Carl Jenkinson is available again – he was ineligible to face parent club Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Swansea have confirmed Wilfried Bony and Ki Sung-yueng will play their final matches before departing for international duties tomorrow. The Welsh club will be without Jefferson Montero for up to a month after the Ecuadorian suffered a hamstring injury.

Ander Herrera and Adnan Januzaj are both back in training ahead of United’s trip to the Britannia, Louis van Gaal confirmed yesterday.

Leonardo Ulloa is available for Leicester’s trip to Anfield – the forward was replaced due to fatigue at the weekend, Nigel Pearson has confirmed. Andy King is sidelined for the Foxes and, whilst Jamie Vardy is available after serving a one-match ban, Paul Konchesky is sidelined for a similar timeframe.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

I'm currently on Benteke to the bench, but Downing/Austin are my other considerations. Palace have a decent away record and Benteke has scored 2 all season and Villa just one in the last 4 games, but i wanted him in because he's a 90 minute man who had two home games. Downing at home to WBA seems like a decent shout, ouch, what to do?

Raheem Sterling has the stats, playing advanced but......

1 goal in last 14 matches
11 matches scoring 3 points or less
scored 132 points last year, Lallana scored 178
this year Sterling on 86 in 1625 mins (3.17 points per hour)
for comparison team mate Lallana 57 points from 917 mins (3.73 points per hour)

What makes him such a popular pick for an important midfield slot ?

Agree he could in theory explode but doesnt seem that clinical in front of goal to me, pressure ?

Henderson maybe to deliver similar points but much cheaper and surely Sterling cant live with the slightly more expensive players such as Hazard, Sanchez, Di Maria, Fabregas, Silva etc

Then cheaper again are Siggy, Downing etc

From what I've heard none of the WBA fans rate Wisdom. Lescott has a history of goal threat, will be nailed and probably hoover up baps. He'll be Pulis' ShawX I reckon.

No concern about Captain Silva goal potential now that Jovetic is confirmed fit? He's never been prolific before, only since playing in this false 9 system. With Jovetic back we could see a regress to the mean.

    Ivanovic, Baines, Kolarov
    Hazard, Sanchez, Nasri, Siggy
    Costa, Kane, Benteke(c)

    McCarthy, Hutton, Boyd, O'Shea

1.7m in the bank. Hutton can sub in for Kolarov, think I'll save a FT this week and clear the City boys out next.

Mr Green is a keeper, 17 points in his last 2 😉

Really annoyed with the Nasri pick, always favour Silva over him but went with Nasri as he was looking in good form and Silva had only just come back from injury.

decent Hutton as back up. heck i'd play both Kolarov AND Hutton if there was an option for that. but you're GTG.

Just hope he comes in with decent returns 🙂

Had Hutton, O'Shea and Boyd all stuck on my bench last GW with 22 points. Can't believe Boyd had the audacity to score when not coming of my bench and against Kolarov(c) 😡

Yeah I would like to play Hutton but expect him to autosub in anyway. Kane is Tottenham's main goal threat and Chelsea are conceding most away games so feel I've got to play him.

Just putting it out there, you guys should have a look at Ben Davies as an option. at 4.4m, he is nailed and been putting a decent run inside the box few times now for the past games he started.

About game time, dont worry i'm a long time spurs fan and i can assure you he's first choice left back, unless rested or injured. He'll be first choice for as long as the back up are the mistake prone Rose and Naughton.

yes,100%. the way hes playing now, Rose & Naughton have no chance of coming in.

Oki so I'm 99% on Removing Bony, Walters and Clyne > Ayoze, Sterling(c) and Wisdom/Cresswell.

The question is who would you bench out of these ?

Sterling (c) Downing Sanchez Yaya Haz
    Ayoze Kane Austin

At the moment I'm thinking Kane

keep clyne, esp if you have lots of value tied up. soton's fixtures ripen soon, he's only out 1-2 games

That may be the best shout I had him early, and I'd also be taking a -4 for a back up defender, might just run with it and see if I can limp to my planned wc in 3 weeks

yep best to put out Kane if you got in Ayoze. but if it was me i'd just play Kane, he's the in form guy and back him to get atleast an assist in the game.

Carroll has started the last 6 games..Decent chance of him starting from the bench with Sakho up top?

He's more likely to start. His game isn't a high energy one so fatigue is not going to effect him in the same way as a full back or a box to box mid. I expect Sakho and Carroll up front.

True but he is injury prone and it is WBA..Debating who to start out of Sakho/Siggy

lol it takes time, but no doubt WBA will stay in the prem and they'll be better defensively.

    Current team:

    Pantilimon

    Zabaleta / Azpi / Hutton

    Fabregas / Silva / Yaya / Sanchez

    Kane / Austin / Costa

Worth a transfer, as Wisdom is currently the only sub that could come on if needed?
