Have to say aguero injury added spice to festive period, i mean there were lot of cheap forward options which made it possible to invest in mids n defs and most had 5 good midfieldrs. Which made it possible to play a mid instead of 3 up top and hence lead to benchng kane

Pro-tip:
Do your best to avoid hits until after the WC is over as people will be wildcarding in every week and your hit could hurt more if it doesn't pan out.
but make sure your 2FT's are used before going into WC
also a good one which is why it's smart to plan your wildcard and not kneejerk it following a bad week

when you wildcard you don't get minus anything despite how many transfers you've made. MANY will be wildcarding this week and making a multitude of transfers while you take your hit and suffer -4 for it against a heap of fresh teams with no penalty. basically your hit HAS to pan out well this week or the negative from taking one will be amplified

How does other people reassembling their team affect my team's ability to score points?in any given gameweek a number of people take hits..the first week of a wildcard, many hit the button instead of taking a hit. so if your hit isn't a good one, then you're effectively starting the week 4 points behind everyone
But that's completely irrelevant. Taking a hit isn't any worse just because others didn't have to. All that matters are the player(s) you're selling/buying and possibly benching.
It's not irrelevant. In the weeks when many don't take hits, taking a bad hit is worse than sucking it up with what you would have had.
Conversely not taking a hit in a week when many do can serve as a differential if it would have been a bad hit to begin with.Disagree. If it's a bad hit, it's a bad hit. That others didn't have to take hits doesn't affect the probability of whether your hit will gain or lose you points which is the only thing that matters.
All I can do is score the best I can for my team each week.
What other teams are doing hits / transfer wise is wholly inconsequential as I have no ability to control that aspect of the game. (Price changes come into play here somewhat but...)
So, if I *knew* every other team in the game wasn't going to take a hit next week, it wouldn't change my decision on whether I'd follow suit or not.
I try & make the best decision for my team each of the 38 weeks I play & hopefully, by season's end those decision's have been better than everyone else's....
His point was, in average, there will be a lot less teams doing point hits due to WC usage. Meaning a -4 handicap gets a bit worse in relation to the average week score.
That has no bearing on what's best for my team's ability to score points in any given week though.

Yaya and Bony replacements? Got a total of 23,2 mil to spend so can afford most combos. Thinking either Rooney, RvP or Jovetic for the striker spot, but have a harder time deciding on a midfielder. Could go for Silva if I get a Man U forward, Hazard if I want tripple Chelsea or someone like Sanchez or Sterling.
The best transfer after todays matches seems to be Yaya + Bony > Hazard + Jovetic (or Kane, but already have Eriksen and need Man C cover)
