This evening, we roll out the seventh round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during New Year’s Day’s sixth round ties.

United Nations is fast becoming the manager to beat after clocking up his second prize for scoring the highest number of points in a round. A tally of 69 points has propelled him into 334th position overall, earning him another £25 worth of free bets from Paddy Power and setting him up for a round seven tie with Mince and Tatties. United Nations’ fielding of Harry Kane and Gael Clichy proved crucial to his victory.

The giant-killing accolade of the round goes to Aaron Ramessi. He may be ranked 33,436th overall but he saw off round six’s highest ranked manager Never Trust Lukaku, who is ranked 19th. Aaron Ramessi now faces CMIFLFC in the seventh round.

Other notable round seven ties include Mediocre Men, who knocked Granville out in round five, taking on Momalpashands, and community writer Saata facing up to Wolverine. Jimbojunior drew the short straw and meets round seven’s highest ranked manager Mjfdept, who is 65th overall.

Among the 16 remaining competitors, 13 have a rank within the top 10,000 and four are in the elite top 1,000 group.

The full list of sixth round results can be found here, while the seventh round draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

If not playing him, would it not make more sense to ditch Zaba instead of Chambers?

Would give me 1.8m for upgrades this/next week.

      C) bacon and egg

  11. Saniul

Wenger: ''We have the same 18-man squad that played against Southampton, except Ospina coming in for Szczesny.''

''We will refresh the defence a bit, apart from which we do not have many options.''

''Yes, Walcott is ready for a start.''

''Arteta, Flamini, Diaby, Ozil and Ramsey are still unavailable, as is Wilshere, so we are obviously short in the middle.''

From that, I can see the XI as.
    --------------------------------Ospina
    ----Bellerin-------Chambers---------Mertesacker---------Monreal
    ------------------Maitland-Niles-----------Coquelin
    ---Walcott------------------Cazorla---------------------Campbell
    ----------------------------------Akpom

(Martinez, Debuchy, Koscielny, Gibbs, Rosicky, Ox, Sanchez).

MEH. Can't see that side winning against Hull. 😐

    1. Jinswick
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

He had better not put that side out. I think he'll go reasonably strong, especially since we are the current holders

      1. Saniul
        • 13 Years
        11 years, 1 month ago

Well, what can he do? He surely will NOT play Rosicky twice in four days, he will rotate his fullbacks, you know what too many games will do to Koscielny again, and Sanchez deserves that rest SO MUCH. Wenger doesn't have too many options.

The only thing I can see is Ox starting ahead of Maitland-Niles in central midfield.

If fit I think Welbeck may start, especially given Giroud is back for STO next w/e.

And yeah, I think Ox starts ahead of Matiland/Niles. The above double pivot will get bashed up by Livermore/Huddlestone.

All will depend on this match, and Sanogo's off to Bordueax on loan.

How am I looking for the week? 2 disaster GWs I need to turn it around

Used my FT already, anything worth a hit? 2.8itb

    Guzan
    Sakho - Azpilicueta - Zabaleta
    Hazard(c) - Sanchez(vc) - Silva - Siggy
    Costa - Kane - Austin

    Gilks -- Marney - Dummett - Clyne

It's gonna be tricky picking which trio from CHE come the Jan WC.

Hazard looks the only certainty right now for me. Then it's 2 from Terry, Fabs and Costa. Easy to make arguments for all 3.

Right now I have Terry, Haz & Costa, and think I still will come the end of the WC

Now, I have no idea what is wrong with my team. Every week, the team looks decent, and yet I am here, five red arrows in a row, dropping like stone from 5k to 22k.

    The team is like.

    Adrian, (Myhill),
    Azpilicueta, Zabaleta, Hutton, (Dummett, Yun),
    Sanchez, Hazard, Sterling, Downing, (Boyd),
    RVP, Jovetic, Austin.

    FT, 1.9 in bank.

I am looking at Downing to Chadli, or Yun to Lescott, or even Sanchez to Silva.

Can anyone help save this sinking ship?

    Best Toure replacement?

    Chadli

            this is a good question.

I had Yaya , with Austin Zamora Costa upfront and I needed to get Kane in somehow and lose yaya as well. I did yaya out for santi and kane in for zamora for the -4 as of now. mulling pushing the winter wc button as i hate hits

that being said, cazorla could be an outstanding punt for this week and then get rid the next on wc

    Best Bony replacement?
    1)Jovetic
    2)Giroud
    3)Austin
    4)Benteke
    5)Other
Have Kane and RVP as my other 2 strikers

Don't like any of those options. Austin only consistent player on the list.

The problem is there aren't many great options for a striker under 10m

Not Jovetic and certainly not Benteke.

What about Ings. Proven goalscorer and Burnley in the ascendancy

I haven't closely followed the premier league before this season, I'm hoping walcott lives up to this hype that people have created, won't of played much football for ages
