This evening, we roll out the seventh round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during New Year’s Day’s sixth round ties.

United Nations is fast becoming the manager to beat after clocking up his second prize for scoring the highest number of points in a round. A tally of 69 points has propelled him into 334th position overall, earning him another £25 worth of free bets from Paddy Power and setting him up for a round seven tie with Mince and Tatties. United Nations’ fielding of Harry Kane and Gael Clichy proved crucial to his victory.

The giant-killing accolade of the round goes to Aaron Ramessi. He may be ranked 33,436th overall but he saw off round six’s highest ranked manager Never Trust Lukaku, who is ranked 19th. Aaron Ramessi now faces CMIFLFC in the seventh round.

Other notable round seven ties include Mediocre Men, who knocked Granville out in round five, taking on Momalpashands, and community writer Saata facing up to Wolverine. Jimbojunior drew the short straw and meets round seven’s highest ranked manager Mjfdept, who is 65th overall.

Among the 16 remaining competitors, 13 have a rank within the top 10,000 and four are in the elite top 1,000 group.

The full list of sixth round results can be found here, while the seventh round draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

    2. Is it worth using a FT to bring in Panti before his rise. The reason is that he will be my keeper when i end up wc'ing...saves me 0.1

Panti's price isn't going to rise? He's on 87% but he's only going up at 0.02% an hour.

    I will ask again:

For a -4 hit, what should I do:

    a) Yaya ---> Silva
    b) Yaya --> Sanchez
    c) Yaya ---> Fabregas

    I already own Hazard.

I think Sanchez is not a great option because we will not have as many touches in the area as before, due to Walcot / Giroud returns. Also Cazorla & Ozil will take the FK/ CK from him..

Easy decision. Sanchez. He should improve further when Arsenal's injured players return.

Cazorla will lose his place and Sanchez will play from left.

Will be rotated occasionally if Arsenal stay in Champions league though.

if not him then Silva as he is cheaper and plays further up the pitch.

50:50. Fixture congestion and Costa's future 2-match ban will perhaps give Austin the edge.

I guess these are some of the essentials one would require in the team

    Terry, Bertrand

Hazard, Fabregas, Sanchez, ADM (when fit)

    Aguero (when fit), Kane

    Thoughts? Any recommendations?

I didn't add Costa due to Terry, Fab and Hazard

The consensus here seems to be hold the wildcard for a couple of weeks is that because you wouldn't make enough transfers to make it worthwhile now? or you will battle through in order to try and gain advantage later?
If its the second then i think wildcarding early is the best option, the changes Im making now i wouldn't think would be too different to the ones if i hold for a couple of weeks so might as well act now in order to maximise points. (keeping a safe Aguero in policy on standby)

The main reason I'm not using it this week to deal with my problems (couple of injuries + Baines & Yaya) is I have 2FT and it would seem silly to waste them.

    3. Yank Revolution

I think the main reasons are:

Lack of any must own players out there we don't own.
Transfers into EPL...there's usually something interesting, if not blockbustery, that happens.
      No big injury crisis.
      Owners being patient.
Doubtful there's mass rises this week. Perhaps next week.

Mainly the transfers, nothing worse than putting some good budget options in your defence and midfield and then said club bring in another player who comes and takes there spot

I feel guilty since I transferred in the Man City defence they have conceeded 5 goals in 4 games.

I am to blame for benteke and austins goal drought for the last two weeks.

I can not apologise to other owners enough!

    Heaton (Mannone)
    Wisdom Ivanovic Hutton (OShea, Clyne*)
    Hazard Sanchez Siggy Downing (Boyd)
    Rooney Costa Austin

    2FT and £1.0 ITB

If I sell Rooney to Kane I can upgrade Siggy/Downing to a premium midfielder(Silva/Sterling)

Same decision i had to make. I kicked out Austin on acount of Rooney having superior fixtures, with Leicester up in a few weeks

Would you have traded Austin for Kane if it wasnt for the price push?

          Cheers.
I've been stuck using my FT only for my defence these GWs and didn't touch my front 8; so I'm a bit worried about who trasnfer out..

Lot of people sold rooney in gw 18 for the red hot giroud. Big chance of similar punishment imo

    1)baines to trippier?
    2) mirallas\silva to boyd?
to free up cash for bony to aguero when fit with WC
Team is good enough as 442 til then.

You don't need to free up cash when you have a WC.

Mirallas to Colback if thats your 5th midfielder. Better than Boyd and not much more expensive.

      Baines to Alderweireld?

      Assuming they work price wise.

In draft league, out of these strikers which one to drop long term:

    Sturridge, Falcao, Austin, Kane
