Granville and I make a New Year return to the ScoutCast studio, battered and bruised by the events of Gameweek 20 which saw us both inexplicably bench Harry Kane and his 18-point haul.

Having wasted our big differential and haunted by constant reminders, my co-host and I struggle to make a recovery. Spitting the pips from our sour grapes, we do our best to justify our doomed decision-making, before attempting to salve the wounds with talk of the Winter Wildcard refresh around the usual batch of regulars.

        He's too cheap.

        He'll be in most teams and give everyone a large amount of money to spend on the midfield. Teams end up being very similar. Diversity is good for the game imo, and Kane helps reduce it.

          I agree but early movers will benefit the most as his price will rise very quickly if he is bought buy 50% of teams. The same was true for Southampton defenders and Siggy this earlier this season.

        Since I have a WC to fall back on, which I plan to use after GW22, and currently have 2FT, since I don't fancy Baines to pick up points this week, and I want to get Giroud in, I thought I could do both using those two FT..

        Price rises/Aguero may force my hand tho, The prob with Arsenal players is City away next week, so might force my wc.

            That was my thought earlier in week but I can't call it mate, sometimes doing nothing is best in these situations,
            I can do Austin/Sterling > Aguero/Boyd next week for week which would still preserve my wc or should I just punt this week and wc on sat 11.31????

              Lol WC really takes away from the importance of 2FT so in most cases I would probabky say take the punt. But in hour case the punt doesnt actually look much more appealing so prob better off saving and getting Aguero next week

        I'm not convinced having no Bony is that detrimental to Siggy. If anything I think he could end up being a bigger attacking threat now that he's gone. Could be wrong though.

          Been playing around with this for days....including Costa as well as kun makes it unbalanced and means I'm significantly weaker elsewhere.....would rather have balanced strength across the whole team.....and not convinced Costa is worth the cash.....

          Swans attacking stats might get better without Bony owing to needing to change their style of play. This would be good news for Siggy owners. Equally the opposite could be true.
