This evening, we roll out the semi-final draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during the quarterfinals.

With a score of 62 bobbyg emerged as the top scoring manager during the quarter-finals, which took place during Gameweek 22. He easily saw off round seven’s top scorer 66irons  to progress and earn himself £25 worth of free Paddy Power bets.

His opponent in the semi-finals will be CMIFLFC , who beat  Wolverine in the quarter-finals. CMIFLC, who has an overall rank of 5,439, has activated his wildcard this week while bobbyg, who is ranked 663rd in the overall rankings, still has his to play.

The other semi-final will feature Momalpashands, who beat mjfdept in the quarterfinals, and Harts Hotspurs, the conqueror of United Nations. This will be something of a David and Goliath clash as, with a rank of 555th in the FPL game, Momalpashands is the competition’s highest placed manager, while Harts Hotspurs is the lowest, with a rank of 297,029. Both have yet to play their wildcard. Key differences in their current teams are Harts Hotspurs’s faith in Sergio Aguero and Branislav Ivanovic, while Momalpashands will be hoping Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas will score well enough to see him through.

The full list of quarter final results can be found here, while the semi-final draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to all four managers left in the competition. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

there never was one..he scored a brace and people overreacted not realizing he's scored 15 goals in his last 160 matches and his last goal came 14 months ago

Elia isn't very good. Mane will be finding a spot in my WC team though.

With this going extra time, does it give Sturridge more of a chance to start?

    Really don't want Costa anymore.

Good question... Think not. Too precious. And sterling's just had time off.
Just hope they keep the 3 in the back and Gerard out of dm. Lucas& Henderson great there. Would get a defender despite the fixtures but whom? Skirtel, hmmm, wondering if Moreno will play if Stur is back. I'd get Markovic if he was a defender...

if you got loads of cash lying around and are on WC is it worth punting on Adm for a few weeks? poor form, stats and i'm not a manu fan but atleast the fixtures look good until Chelsea/Tottenham done with their missing GW

LVG facing a lot of backlash for persisting with the 352 and in the cup agaisnt Cambridge, even though we weren't good at all, he at least played a 4-back and didn't play Di Maria up top (thankfully)..couldn't hurt but has risk

could just swap him for Silva next week if it fails.. loads of ppl in my ML bought him on their WC so atleast it cancels out an unnecessary risk

true I suppose! I typically don't like doing my WC with a transfer planned afterwards..my thought is your WC should be set so that you can save a FT afterwards

I'm going with ADM until Yaya is back, albeit cautiously.

Great fixtures, guaranteed to start and unlikley to be played up top again.

I'm considering Fabregas > Di Maria. ADM on the wing is deadly, but it's hard to trust Man Utd players these days, although I can just see his classic 13pts coming up.

I would definitely not make that transfer unless Cesc is out for a spell or something.

          • 11 Years
          11 years, 2 months ago

I'm already sure of keeping Cesc over Costa, because I simply can't keep Costa in my team for that price, but Di Maira has had a few big point hauls this season, so he seems like a decent replacement for Cesc, if he's out.

He and Wally are probably the only 2 big differentials left in the game.

Time to take a few punts on that WC to climb up the rankings. Always an easy downgrade if he fails.

It wasn't a freak accident. When a player has been out for a while, he runs the risk of a reoccurence. He also played 90 mins against Roma I think. It was unwise.

probably the Puncher or Downing depending on your appraisal of West Ham's attack..Chadli may not start (hasn't trained much if at all after his father passed)

Elia isn't a legitimate option IMO and Mane probably won't play immediately having just come back from ACON)

two deliberate stamps..maybe if only the one had happened he had a chance but he stamped two players and nearly got in a 3rd fight to get his EIGHTH yellow card

Not sure what constitutes less violent. Sterling tried like some girl to claw his eyes out. Should have been 10 games

it was a half-hearted slap tbh with the angle against him..not saying it wasn't worthy of retrospective action, I think it was but it's a far cry from a tall strong player putting most of their weight down with their studs on a players leg
