Our Friday lunchtime regular assessment of the PlayON Player Price List arrives once again as the hours count down to another deadline. As always, we offer a couple of picks per position: one essential weekend target and a left-field alternative for your consideration.

PlayON have extended their deadline for submitting teams so you can now tinker with your starting XI right up until the first kick-off each week – tomorrow that’s 12.45pm, when Spurs and Arsenal go head-to-head at White Hart Lane.

This week there is over £2,000 in Guaranteed Pots and £300 in Free Entry Pots on offer at PlayON – check out the games here.

Goalkeeper – Tom Heaton
Priced at 6.6m, Burnley’s Tom Heaton is our left-field goalkeeper this weekend. Owned by only 7% of managers currently, the Clarets stopper has kept four of his five clean sheets at Turf Moor this season and entertains a West Brom side that have scored just one goal in Tony Pulis’ three matches at the helm – with the fixtures turning against Sean Dyche’s side, they need to deliver against the Baggies tomorrow. Faith in Manchester City’s defence is at a real low right now after the champions conceded in each of the last six Gameweeks. A home clash against a Hull side that have failed to score in seven of their last nine matches offers Manuel Pellegrini’s side a promising chance to record an eighth shutout of the season, though. Joe Hart (8.1m, 18% ownership) hands us a secure route into their defence and is less expensive than both Martin Demichelis and Vincent Kompany, while the full-back positions remain a guessing game with Pellegrini’s rotation policy.

Defender – Matt Targett
Ryan Bertrand’s red card against Swansea should offer the youngster an opportunity at left-back as Southampton travel to QPR. Having played just 111 minutes of Premier League football this season, Targett is priced at just 5.4m this week in PlayON and bearing in mind the R’s have just scored one goal in three at Loftus Road, the 9%-owned defender could be excellent value here. After starting five of the last seven in all competitions, Kurt Zouma has appeared to oust Gary Cahill as John Terry’s central defensive partner at Chelsea. Available for 6.5m, the defender is a bargain route into a defence that will be facing goal shy Aston Villa and is understandably one of the most popular defensive picks this week, with an 18% ownership at present.

Midfielder – Jonjo Shelvey
A home encounter with Sunderland hands Swansea the chance to rack up a seventh league win at the Liberty. With Gylfi Sigurdsson still suspended, Shelvey (7.5m) looks set to continue in the support role behind Bafetimbi Gomis and, as evidenced by his winner at St Mary’s last weekend, has a habit of scoring spectacular long range efforts. Shelvey’s kind price has already persuaded 11% of PlayON managers to snap up his services. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard takes up the other spot in midfield as the league leaders head to Aston Villa. Priced at 13.9m in this week’s PlayON Player Price List, the Belgian’s (31% ownership) form is ticking over with an assist for Loic Remy’s opener in last week’s draw against with Man City and, having scored in two of his last three road trips, he’ll fancy his chances of breaching the hosts’ porous backline.

Forwards – Dwight Gayle
With three goals and an assist in his last three appearances, the Palace striker has looked revitalised under new manager Alan Pardew. The Eagles travel to fellow strugglers Leicester City this weekend and, having netted three times in their previous road trip at Burnley, square up to a defence that have conceded in each of their last seven. Gayle has five shots (worth 200 points apiece in PlayON) in his last three and looks to offer value at 7.5m – currently owned by just 9% of PlayON managers. Sergio Aguero is without a goal in three league appearances since returning from injury, the longest the Argentine has gone without a goal a season. That’s an ominous sign for visitors Hull, who roll up in dreadful form after back-to-back 3-0 defeats – available for 14.8m and currently residing in a massive 66.0% of teams, it is difficult to overlook the 14-goal striker.

Head over to www.PlayON.co now to get your teams in for the Free Entry games and the £2,000 in Guaranteed Pots.

    Play:

    A) Panti(swa) + PvA(swa)
    B) Pant(swa) + Wisdom(bur)
    C) Krul(STO) + PvA(swa)

Thinking Swansea without Siggy and Bony won't score.. Shelvey won't score those goals every week.. but maybe risky to double up? Will Ings blank in two games in a row?

Hmm.. well that's also possible of course, but seems a bit crazy to bench the two players that I'm considering to double up with! Will get this decision wrong 100% guaranteed

I have those same alternatives - I'm going for Krul and PvA - the latter has a bigger upside than Wisdom but to put all eggs in an away basket is too risky, so C)

"It's not easy to tell him he's not playing. He wants to play - he's so keen"

"He feels he can defy the medical people because he is so keen to play. I don't know if he can. I will see today."

Would appreciate some thoughts on latest WC draft:

    Foster Krul
    Terry Zouma Wollscheid PvA Bellerin
    Hazard Silva Cazorla Puncheon Boyd
    Aguero Sturridge Kane

Money in the bank for Silva > Sanchez on Tuesday.

Sturridge is a punt as no other strikers convince (apart from Giroud who I think is a doubt?). Option is to downgrade Sturridge and upgrade Punch/Boyd?
Both Bellerin and Zouma too punty? Zouma would go before the blank anyway.

    Any help appreciated gents. Two main ML rivals have both done Sanchez > Cazorla, so bricking it a bit not having him. Should I;

    A. Follow suit, ie Sanchez > Caz (-4)
    B. Play Boyd

    Current attack;
    Haz / Sanchez / Sterling / Punch / Boyd
    Kun / Giroud / Kane

    1. CHANCING PUNT
      • 13 Years
      11 years, 1 month ago

I'd play Boyd. He's pulled out some useful, unexpected points for me this season and WBA at home isn't the worst of fixtures to throw him in for. Even with Pulis in charge.

No telling that Cazorla will score more than the 4 points you'll sacrifice to make it worth doing. Tough match away at Spurs...had some belting matches but also some tight ones in recent years.

Reassess on Tuesday. If Sanchez doesn't make it then, I'd make the transfer.

    Foster - Myhill
ZOUMA - Bellerin - Clyne - Wisdom - van Aanholt
DI MARIA - CAZORLA - Silva - Hazard - Sanchez
    Ayoze - Kane - Aguero
    0 ITB

    Foster - Myhill
TERRY - Bellerin - Clyne - Wisdom - van Aanholt
    DOWNING - WALTERS - Silva - Hazard - Sanchez
    GIROUD - Aguero - Kane
    1.1 ITB

A: Zouma, Di Maria, Cazorla & Ayoze
    OR
    B: Terry - Downing - Walters & Giroud

Can I get some thoughts on this?
Currently leaning towards A, as I'm sitting in top 140k atm.

2 FT and stuggling with what to do. Obvious thing would be Bertrand out but to who? Also I'd lose a fair bit on him, wouldn't be opposed to keeping him through his ban.

I've thought about doing Austin > Berahino but Austins at home this week so hold off on that?

Could finally get rid of Fabregas maybe, thinking about it Fabregas > Walcott temps me. Any thoughts?

    Pantilimon | Hamer
    Terry | Clyne | Bertrand | Wisdom | Trippier
Hazard | Sánchez | Di María | Fàbregas | Boyd
    Agüero | Kane | Austin

It's a shame because 4/5 years ago it was really competitive with the winner was normally decided in GW38. Now it's a case of no-one can be arsed anymore.

In my mini league at work only 6 of us out of 19 are actually active and know what the f.uck we're actually doing. There's a couple of clueless no-hopers tinkering around in mid table, and one guy who by some fluke is sitting in 7th despite not touching his team for months. In my other mini league only 2 out of 6 of us are actually active, but it's one of my best mates and we're neck and neck so it's exciting. Put some money on it too.

Tring to catch a ML rival who is 60 pts. ahead and literally copied my tham last GW when wildcarding :/

Sanchez was 1 of 2 players where we are different (he has Cazorla, off course).

    Should i:

    A) keep Sanchez
    B) Wally
    C) Cazorla and have 14 same players

Not a lead that you can't overhaul with a bit of patience so wouldn't gamble too heavily yet.

Saying that, Walcott may be a top differential in coming weeks...I'd go with that.

Wtf is going on with Sanchez? 25% chance of playing --> Ruled out --> Ruled out for a couple of weeks (someone said) --> 25% chance of playing

He'll be 75% before the deadline! In all seriousness though it's VERY unlikely he'll start.

I guess those on a wildcard are keeping Sanchez?

    What do you think?

    A) play Wollscheid (new)
    B) Wolls -> Zouma

    Free transfer.

Oh Sanchez...you're not making this easy. Just as i'd half-decided to sell. Not expecting anything from him at Spurs, but does latest news make a LEI start more likely?

I think there's a little bit of Wenger mind-games (unusual from him) at play here, given how Ponch likes to prepare his teams.

Really really stuck on this one:

    Foster
    Ivan // Clyne // PVA
    Haz // ADM // Sanchez // Downing
    Kun // Giroud // Kane

    Pants - JWP - Woll - Bellerin

    .9 ITB 1 FT

    A) Sanchez to Silva (Bought at 11)
    B) Save FT and have JWP (qpr)

    Cheers in advance.

AdM to Silva for free? or save FT?

    Panti/Foster
    Terry/Trippier/Clyne
    AdM/Sanchez.../Hazard/Punch
    Kane/Kun/Gru

    Bench: Boydinho/PVA/Bellerin
