Alexis Sanchez is available for Arsenal’s home match with Leicester. Cesc Fabregas could return for Chelsea tomorrow evening. Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho are expected to recover from knocks in time for Liverpool’s clash with Spurs tonight, whilst Adam Johnson is now fully fit for Sunderland.

Alexis Sanchez “will be back in the group†to face Leicester this evening, Arsene Wenger has confirmed. Arsenal remain without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, whilst Jack Wilshere is expected to return to training at some point this week.

Jose Mourinho has revealed that Cesc Fabregas could return for Chelsea’s home clash with Everton after he chose to protect the Spaniard’s hamstring by resting him away to Villa last weekend.

Raheem Sterling (foot) and Philippe Coutinho (knee) are both expected to recover in time for Tottenham’s visit, whilst Brendan Rodgers is optimistic on Adam Lallana’s chances of recovering from a groin complaint. The Reds were dealt a blow, though, after Lucas was ruled out with the thigh injury that forced him off early on at Goodison on Saturday.

Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony will miss City’s trip to Stoke tomorrow evening. The duo will travel to Ivory Coast to celebrate their victory over Ghana in Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations final.

Adam Johnson has been deemed fully fit by Gus Poyet, after only making the bench last weekend as a result of minor thumb surgery. Connor Wickham has recovered from injury, though Emmanuele Giaccherini and Jack Rodwell are doubtful for the home clash against QPR. Billy Jones is available again after missing out through injury at the weekend.

QPR caretaker boss Chris Ramsey has confirmed Rio Ferdinand and Bobby Zamora will start against the Black Cats, with the likes of Richard Dunne, Nedum Onouha and Charlie Austin all ruled out through injury. Ramsey also revealed Mauro Zarate is in contention to be named in the first XI.

Wayne Routledge has returned to full training for Swansea after recovering from a calf complaint, whilst Modou Barrow is expected to shrug off a knee knock in time to face West Brom tomorrow.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s 7.30pm deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

I have Theo and not Sanchez, can't swap them without a hit. Most predictions have both starting. Going to have to go balls to the wall and captain Walcott - this could be a make or break week...

You see Newcastle's last game? Who are the best options? Looking at Ameobi/Colback/Cabella and Cisse? Any of them worth it over the next 4 or 5?

          1. CABAYE4
            • 14 Years
            11 years, 2 months ago

Colback is 5th mid bench fodder, does the job well but does have 8 yellows.

We're only playing 1 up top most of the time so Cisse will spent a lot of time on the bench.

I've got Cabella but these early subs are a bit frustrating, he needs a big performance midweek or he could end up back on the bench.

Ameobi is probs first choice right now but Colback does the bench job better imo.

I can't access the Internet for when the team sheets are out as I'm away, my gut instinct is telling me captain sanchez, is it worth the gamble or play safe and go with santi or hazard?

Santi is not more safe imo, he could get rested. Alexis "should" start... but If u cant see the lineups I probably shouldnt captain him. So, I guess your left with Hazard

    Good morning guys!

I'm struggeling with some decisions here, and would appreciate some advice. 🙂

    My current team:

    Panti (qpr H)

    Terry (eve H) \ Clyne (whm H) \ Kosc (Lei H) \

    Hazard \ Silva \ Di Maria \ Puncheon \

    Aguero \ Giroud \ Kane

Bench: PVA (qpr H) \ Wisdom (swa H), Lucas

    ITB: 1.6 m
    FT: 1

First of all, who should i start with? Bench Terry and double up on sunderland defence? Play with 4 at the back, bench puncheon? Or just start with those i have above?

Is it worth doing Silva-> sanchez and kosc-> Bellerin (-4)
    I 'm 0.1 m away from a straight swap silva->sanchez....

I know this could potentially spark a riot BUT... I am tempted to bring Defoe into my squad for Aguero.

I think Defoe is starting to hit form (albeit begrudgingly as I'm a toon fan) and his upcoming two fixtures look very promising. The obvious thing to do would be to swap him in for Kane but with Harry in such a vein of form and with having him since he was £5.5m I don't want to ship him out.

    De Gea
    PvA Clyne Bellerin
    Silva Erikson Hazard Cazorla
    Aguero Kane Giroud (c)

    Bench: Krul Demichelis Walters Haidara

£0.3 in the bank and yet to make a transfer. I'll end up saving the FT no doubt but the Defoe option is intriguing and possibly under the radar. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

It's difficult. I'm currently top of my two mini-leagues, so tactically it makes sense to keep the obvious choices in, as everyone else will get no material advantage. Either they will then be forced to choose a differential (which they seem never to do) or I have the luxury to choose one.

If I have to transfer out Kane, Aguero or Giroud then it's likely to be Aguero because everyone has him but he's not scoring that well.

Will bring Sanchez in if he starts, but who for? Options are Sterling, Silva or Caz. Was going to go Sterling but assuming his fit, I've just noticed that Liverpool have knocked 15 past Spurs in the last 4 Prem matches between them, whereas Man City - Stoke matches have had a total of 2 goals over the last 3 matches.

Probably not that relevant but that's quite a significant difference.

Looking a bit further ahead here, but who are you eyeing up for the double GW28?

I'll probably go with Kane and Eriksen. Nobody from QPR.

Like many, I have the PVA/Clyne/Bellerin conundrum. I've decided to play Clyne and Bellerin and bench PVA. I can't bench Clyne b/c his ownership is too high, and I reckon Bellerin is a safer bet for a CS than PVA - although if Bellerin doesn't start it'll make my life much easier.

For the armband, I wouldn't give it to Hazard. Everton have conceded 1 goal in 4 games, and I reckon Mourinho now wants his lads on cruise control, winning 2-0 every game. At this point, it's b/w Cazorla, Giroud and Aguero, and I'm leaning towards Aguero. The man hasn't scored in ages, and we all know he's a scoring machine. I reckon City will punish Stoke - who are a bit overconfident these days. I'm surprised so few people are acknowledging him here.

I will captain Aguero, despite City form striker like Kun will not blank in 3 matches in a row.
But i will bench Clyne and play Puncheon instead of him (other 3 defenders - Terry, Bellerin, Jones)

What this table tells me is that Kane is shooting at an unsustainable rate (9 SiB, 10 SoT), and that although Kun only has 3 SoT in the past 4, he's near the top in SiB (9). Also, these 4 include an Arsenal recital when he was coming back from an injury, and a closed game against Maureen's defenders.

I feel a big gameweek this week. Big points but which players will get them? I think aguero will get a lot but Man City play so badly without Yaya
