The Treatment Table – Gameweek 26

We cast an eye over the new injuries sustained during the weekend’s ten fixtures this evening. Problems mount for Palace up front, Newcastle’s concerns continue, whilst United’s misfiring Dutchman is set for ankle scans after Saturday’s loss at Swansea.

Aston Villa
Kieran Richardson was forced off during the first half of Saturday’s home loss to Stoke due to injury.

Crystal Palace
Fraizer Campbell was withdrawn during the Eagles’ home loss to Arsenal after picking up a hamstring problem. Marouane Chamakh failed to feature against his former club due to a similar complaint.

Liverpool
Mamadou Sakho missed today’s clash with Southampton due to a hip problem, the Reds’ official twitter feed has confirmed.

Man United
The Red Devils are sweating over the fitness of Robin van Persie after the Dutchman left the Liberty Stadium on crutches after sustaining an ankle injury Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea. United are expected to know results of scans on the Dutchman by some point tomorrow.

Newcastle
Daryl Janmaat limped off with a groin problem during the Magpies’ 5-0 hammering at the Etihad on Saturday evening. Manager John Carver confirmed:

“He has got a tight groin. I don’t think he’s too serious at the moment, but it is tight and we took him off as a precaution.”

QPR
Niko Krancjar limped out of the R’s narrow loss at Hull on Saturday and was replaced by Armand Traore on 78 minutes.

Southampton
Steven Davis was replaced at the break during the Saints’ home encounter against Liverpool after picking up a knock.

Sunderland
Billy Jones missed the Black Cats’ goalless draw with West Brom due to injury.

Stoke
Erik Pieters was replaced with five minutes remaining of the weekend win at Villa due to injury.

West Ham
Carlton Cole was forced off due to injury during the Hammers’ draw at Spurs this afternoon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If you have only 1 FT I'd say why not save. If 2 FTs then surely lose Baird to a cheapo. Monitor PVA's situation as well.

I really feel for Matic. He's usually such a calm and composed player, who never gets flustered. He's a rare species considering he's from the Serbian subcontinent. My favorite Chelsea player at the moment.

If you can break his boiling point, there must be something wrong with you, Ashley Barnes.

Completely agree. It's completely unlike Matic to lash out like that. Barnes was fouling us all day so I'm not surprised someone lost their temper in the end.

I just wish it was someone like Ramires who lost his temper though. Someone less important than the best player in the team. Dropping 2 points is bad enough 🙁

Similar incident Matin was a silly boy but even as a United fan in both these incidents I can't understand why the initial tackles weren't straight reds too!

WC on Gw28 is tempting. Not just because of a dgw, but most top teams have good fixtures. Also many top teams have exited the FA Cup so less chance of any major teams having dgws. Good idea or wait?

    Current Team

    Foster
    Bellerin PvA Hutton
    Hazard Sanchez AdM Johnson
    Aguero Giroud Kane
    -----------------------------------------------
    Myhill Skrtel Puncheon Bertrand
    2FT, 1.1m

    Thanks.

    Team for next week:

    Krul
    Koscielny, Fonte, Wollscheid, Pva
    Sanchez, Walcott, Manè, Cork
    Falcao, Aguero

    Foster, Terry, Oscar, Kane

What do ye reckon? Worried about Pva and Walcott not playing ..

    A) Pva to Tomkins or other
    B) Terry to ?
    C) Save FT and do Pva to Rose/Terry to Vertonghen and Oscar/Wally to Eriksen?
