With Chelsea and Tottenham out of contention this week, Fantasy managers are eyeing up the premium price bracket for potential replacements in the centre of the park. Whilst Spurs’ double Gameweek 28 will surely persuade Christian Eriksen owners to hold, the Blues’ pair Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas have been subject to significant transfers out this week after struggling to pick up the points in recent matches.

Fabregas, in particular, has afforded his 33% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) owners cause for concern after serving up just two assists since the turn of the year. Hazard’s single strike and two assists in six has been boosted by nine bonus points, but with the Belgian’s goal threat very much on the slide, there are a number of options available for those looking to freshen up their five-man midfields.

In our second members article of the week, we cast an eye over four pricey midfielders – David Silva, Mesut Ozil, Raheem Sterling and Angel Di Maria – whose recent form is very much on the rise. The quartet have all delivered returns in three of their last four league appearances and are starting to find consistency as the battle for our Fantasy attention heats up.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Yeh, but tonight we weren't playing a good team.

Only Welbeck looked like he has ever played a game of football before. Their movement closed off space more than it opened it up.

Players have to take responsibility as well.

Seriously, I'd play anyone ahead of him. It's one thing playing badly, it's another when you're completely spineless.

I'd run headfirst into a brick wall to stop a goal going in, and he just doesn't care.

There are no options worth a hit . I needed to ditch wisdom so got Naughton in . Di Maria has not scored a goal in a long time and United do not look like trashing anyone at the min , Swapping for another Arsenal mid looks like a mistake after tonight , Downing is off form and Sterling is playing City . Am I missing anyone ?

4th place in the PL is a trophy, last 16 of the CL is a trophy and that has been the extent of Arsenal's ambition for a very long time.

It's not generally realised but the big money in the CL is made by reaching the last 16. After that the increments are relatively small. By reaching the last 16 Arsenal secure very good CL revenues (£30m+) and that's what matters, right?
