The curtains are drawn on Gameweek 30 with a trio of league clashes for Fantasy managers to pore over. Liverpool and Manchester United tussle for a top four spot in the early kick off, while Chelsea travel to Hull City as their title challenge continues apace. Everton look to build upon their victory over Newcastle last Gameweek when they face off against QPR.

The battle for a Champions League berth intensifies as Liverpool host Manchester United at Anfield in Sunday’s lunchtime kick-off. The Reds are unbeaten in 13 league encounters and have recorded seven clean sheets in nine outings. Three successive goalscoring displays from Jordan Henderson have dramatically elevated his standing within the Fantasy community, while Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge need to hit their stride to encourage further investment. Wayne Rooney has flourished as a lone striker for the visitors in recent weeks, notching three goals in as many starts. Rooney starts as both Liverpool and United are unchanged. Brendan Rodgers elects to keep Steven Gerrard benched while Angel di Maria returns from suspension for United but only makes the bench.

Later today, Hull City will go in search of their first win in four when league leaders Chelsea roll up to the KC Stadium. Although the hosts are without the injured Nikica Jelavic, the Blues will need to be wary of Tigers new boy Dame N’Doye, who’s netted in three of his four league starts for the club. Diego Costa made a timely return to the scoresheet last weekend ahead of Chelsea’s imminent double Gameweek, whilst Eden Hazard and Branislav Ivanovic could extend their respective points leads among their counterparts in the Fantasy Premier League rankings.

Down in West London, Everton arrive at Loftus Road to face a Queens Park Rangers side that’s lost eight of their last nine matches. Romelu Lukaku’s scored in the Toffees’ last three matches in all competitions, offering incentive for managers to observe the Belgian striker’s progress. Having come up short in his last two, R’s main man Charlie Austin is in the shop window once again as the R’s prepare for double Gameweek 31.

Filoshofee paying off. But I think it's also because he's listening to the fans on what was so obvious. No 3 5 2. Attack attack attack. no backpasses, esp to Goalkeeper. Keep Rooney as Striker. Put Mata on with Hereira.

Yep, if they are going to complain about anything it should be that United didn't have a player sent off too. The Gerrard and Skrtel incidents are both red cards.

They clearly want a scapegoat, but won't look at 'their own' who did a lot more damage and didnt hold a good account of themselves.

Poor performance overall, should have done better against United who you have to credit, but then that one lies at the managers door.

I've said this before, but why is a pen save worth 5 points
Each 3 saves is 1 point

In essence Mignolet gets 6 points for one save in a 2-1 loss
Myhill got 13(thirteen) saves yesterday 4 points

Myhill also conceded an extra goal though...
and 'normal' saves are much easier to come by than penalty saves

    4. davies
      • 11 Years

How rare are penalty saves? Largely irrelevant, in the grand scheme of things.

    5. Berbalove

You could argue saving a peno should be rewarded with the same amount of points as scoring a goal, don't you think?

I also think if s pen is saved then no -points, but if "missed" then -2

You don't get -points for missing good chances do you

    6. Billy Gilmore
      • 13 Years
      11 years, 1 month ago

Well if scoring a penalty that is scored what 80% of the time is worth 4-6 points, why shouldn't a penalty save be worth 5? A hell of a lot harder to save than the vast majority of shots.

      1. FPL Daniel
        • 16 Years

I think scoring a pk should be worth less if saving a pk is worth more. Also maybe pks conceded shouldn't count against CS bonus except for whoever is responsible for conceding it.
