I am already thinking captain Kun v Palace, they have looked leaky at the back and Aguero could have easily had a brace v WBA. People overlook the element of luck so much in this game IMO, he just didn't have any last game.

I havent captained Kun for the last 2 gameweeks I intend to troll burnt captainers by giving him the armband this week.
Other than the Kane DGW a few weeks back, my captain choices have been shocking, this week hurting the most as Kun gave me naff all compared to all my rivals who captained Kane despite Leicester having a 5 man defence, which I truly believed would be enough to not warrant captaining him.
How wrong was I yet again!.
So do I go with Austin for the DGW? two away fixtures and not counting on him doing much??Don't beat yourself about it, it was a perfectly good call. Kane got a massive deflection and a pen which shouldn't have been given while Aguero hit the post and had Myhill stop one on the line.

These are just typical examples where I feel the 'man in the stand' would see sense.If you base a bonus system on stats, it will just have these problems.
Othewise, you could make it like the '3 best players of the game', and that would include so much opinion.
I sent you all a new mail btw.Sometimes you have to forget the team and remember that any individual player can earn boni. Plenty of players have played well yet finished on the losing team. Don't those players deserve to be rewarded as well?

it is stupid. man in the stands was perfect. yes it was subjective but every week the bp's were given to people that stood out for having a good game. now you get a bp because the ball touched your nose while running backwards at 4.2 kph
Man in the stand was a joke.
You had to hope the guy knew something about football but you would have to surmise they hadn't a clue with the way they were dished out. It was basically the player who tried the most long passes, took the most shots or scored a goal (regardless of contribution otherwise) that got the bonus.
At least now it is based on stats even if I think the defenders are still not rewarded enough. Better than Charlie Adam getting weekly bonus points for doing f all
Excuse my casualness, but what is man in the stand?
Before the stats based bonus systems were introduced a few years ago the BAPs were allocated 'manually' by someone who had actually watched the game. A bit like newspaper man of the match awards. The theory was good, unfortunately the bonus was generally only given to players with eyecatching hair or who were called Barry Ferguson.
How do these top rank players manage to never take hits and carry transfers so often?
Im trying as hard as I can to do the same but either injuries or suddenly necoming out of favour or suspensions etc. always get in the way.
Do they just go 38 weeks without this happening? I get it a lot. I wildcarded in late nov/early dec because I had 8 players injured or suspended in one week out of nowhereFor me I've just had squad depth and used subs if player is missing one game etc.
Only taken 1 hit when had no keeper and wanted Hart over the Xmas fixtures. He got a cleanie v Leicester so paid off.*and also just been lucky with injuries as well. Not too many big ones at the same time.
They just get a template team and stick forever.
