2FT and £2.7m in the bank. Looks like Austin and Cazorla have to go. How do Remy & Sterling sound as replacements? Literally only for 3 gameweeks as I'm gunna WC in gw35

    Myhill
    Clyne Ivanovic Bellerin
    Hazard Eriksen Silva Cazorla
    Kane Aguero Austin

Bench - (Foster) Dawson, Naughton, Ameobi

As if Manchester needs more rain.

Financial Fair Play doesn't seem to be being enforced very strictly. Can't see it being an issue if City decide they need another homegrown player.

Also, doesn't Rooney have a highest paid player clause? I'd be surprised if Bale came to Utd for two thirds of Rooney's wages.

It kept PSG from getting AdM. And City are in worse shape ATM. 200k would suit Bale I reckon. The kicker would be the fee, where we would obviously be able to beat Chelsea.

Ya gotta think United have a leg up on Chelsea here in any Bale pursuit, for all the reasons listed above.

Plus, he's already played in London and may want a change. I think he could be an idol, if healthy, at OT.

Jamie Jackson writes on Manchester football issues for the Guardian and the Observer, not the Daily Mail.

He is in fact far closer in allegiance to Man Utd than Man City. Much of what Jackson writes comes from sources within Man Utd, and in recent times he tends to swallow the PR spin that he's being given by Man United without checking its veracity first.

Ah so. Actually makes me feel better that I couldn't remember who he works for. And no, "sources" are not an excuse. He peddles shite. Because it creates clicks. Period.

I'm not saying that 'sources' are an excuse - I'm saying that Jackson is gaining a reputation for being a mouthpiece for certain elements in the club without checking his sources (you can work out fairly clearly who is telling him what).

It has nothing to do with creating clicks, no matter how dramatically you express it.

        Yeah.

I got Austin (c) right today go me.

What to do with this lot?

    Panti, Foster
    Ivan, Terry, Bertrand, Naughton, PvA
    Hazard. Silva, Eriksen, Mane, Moses
    Aguero, Kane, Austin

    2 FT, 1.8 ITB

Need to get rid of Austin, and need a Foster replacement to cover Panti's blank. Any ideas? I still have my WC and plan on using it on GW 34. Gomis a good two week punt?

Yes but the extra 0.1 or 0.2 you try to make on early transfers this time of year is pointless, especially considering that this new player would be in your team for the remainder of the season. But you're right, it is sometimes important to squeeze funds to allocate it elsrwhere

It doesn't matter until you want to make a transfer and come up .1 short. Many posts on here upon the dreaded .1 short. If you know you want to make a transfer and the transfer in player already played, why wait?

You can't just focus on one player though. If Hazard gets injured for example you'd want to use that FT there instead.

Does one necessarily have to play 3-4-3 week in and week out. Find a decent fifth midfielder over the next two games until it becomes more advantageous buying one of Giroud, Costa, Remy (if Costa is out for a long time), or Leicester forward

WBA have an unusual defending style as they seek to load the box with players to get in the way of shots. However it has been working for them, not this time though.

A little worried about Drogba cutting into Remy's time. And all your bench players are also risks. Berahino or Gomis seems more nailed

For those still with WC, is there a good time to use it before the end of the season? Or just whenever you need it? Thanks

I'm struggling with the same dilema and 2FT.

I figure we go crazy on a DGW or in GW38 have the equivalent of a Scout Picks team!

Wait for the possible DGW of Liverpool.
If that do not happens, then i am clueless.
Probably after GW 34 or in the last one.
