The very first one? It definitely is. Season 3 is exceptional. You'll be staying up until 3/4 in the morning, heading to work, then rushing home for another half dozen episodes! 😀

The wire is excellent but I still put it below sopranos simply because I prefer the humour. Wire can be a bit of a slog and the plot in the last season was a bit meh
Absolutely loved the Sopranos, and agree on humour. Prefer the characters too, but for storyline, don't think anything beats the wire

I recommend watching a TV series called Dexter. That'll make your life even better.
Will look it up, though I hear the last season was awful and the finale made people want to change their gravs in anger.

ThanksSons of Anarchy, House, Prison Break, Suits, all of which I preferred to Breaking Bad. Too much hype, it's good, don't get me wrong. But not "I MUST watch another one, immediately" at 1am on a work day.

SOA is so unbelievable though, they just do what they want as though law enforcement is non existent.
Breaking Bad is unique coz it's the only lead character who completely changes. As awesome a character as Tony Soprano is there's nothing he does in the last episode that he wouldn't have done in the first

Thought it was superb. Worth sticking with.Have watched most of it. I like Hugh Laurie, some of the other characters not so much and while the cases are interesting medically, they'll all be solved by the end of the day. I know how it was supposed to be a tribute to Sherlock Holmes but an awful lot of stuff (Watson vs Wilson, both with drug addictions etc.) makes it feel like they've tried to lift the character entirely from the books.
And Prison Break went downhill very fast.
