Myself, Granville and Jonty welcomed Fantasy Premier League royalty for this week’s episode, as reigning champion, Tom Fenley, made his belated ScoutCast debut.

Tom joined us to talk us through his difficult post-championship season, whilst lending his informed view the situation facing the current Fantasy Football Scout league leader, and FPL number one, Simon March, aka “Dufflinks”.

Of course, we were also glad to have Tom’s expertise on board to help us grapple with the latest round of topics fed to us by the community. Amongst the many issues tackled, we attempt to explain the withering form of Sergio Aguero, discussing the merits or otherwise of an Argentine exit strategy.

This episode was recorded on Tuesday evening with a live Hangout broadcast. If you missed that and you really want to catch up on the latest beard developments (Tom abstains from this), you can view the Hangout in full via the movie below.

If you prefer to have your ScoutCast slip down that little bit easier, you’ll be wanting the rather more slick and refined audio version via this link or the first player below.

Be sure to subscribe to our Youtube channel if you want to be kept informed of future live ScoutCasts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Regarding transferring Austin out for someone with a good fixture over the next 2 gws.

What if your Austin replacement gets injured this week?
Means using another precious trade for gw33.

As I'm wildcarding in gw34 surely it makes sense to save my trade this week then next week do...

    Sanchez > yaya
    Austin > gomis/Murray

Which will givee 11 players exactly.

    WC in gw34.

    Thoughts??

Depends if you think Murray/Gomis has a better chance to score than Austin THIS week.

Ask yourself this? Do you fancy Austin to do better this week than Gomis and Murray? If yes, save it. If not, do the transfer this week. Simple.

Problem is as I have terry, an Austin goal ruins my Chelsea cleanie.

So hope and pray Austin does nada and trade him out for gomis perhaps?

I don't think the argument that your replacement *might* get injured holds any real weight. Surely there's as much chance of the replacement getting injured as there is Austin himself?

In fact if you have your wildcard to sort everything out 2 weeks later then for me it makes even more sense to get someone in with 2 better fixtures over the next 2.

That transfer isn't as precious with a wildcard in hand.

If it was me I think I'd go Murray.

As on the previous page - I don't think keeping Austin is the worst idea, I just think it's perfectly reasonable to be transferring him out too.

I don't rate Gomis at all and think he'll struggle against an improved Everton. Murray has done well but he's a bit of an unknown and I'd imagine the wheels will come off sooner rather than later. Austin has proven himself, QPR must attack and it's always a much harder fixture than it looks on paper for Chelsea who are a bit leaky at the back these days.
I'd rate them in this order
              Austin
              Murray
              Gomis

Just my 2 cents worth 😉

I don't like the Gomis option but Murray is a good one. 50/50 between Austin and Murray this week though, would probably prefer Austin as well.

Yep it's a close one but am I right in thinking Jedinak might be back who'll then be on pens and with Austins home fixture he edges it for me

Gomis, too many people have chosen to go with Murray meaning he would be a nice differential 😉 He also has easier fixtures then Murray imo.

            Overall ownership:

            Murray 0.4% ownership.
            Gomis 0.7% ownership.

            Not sure about top 10k.

There is no doubt that Murray has more love on this site then Gomis. Remember, Gomis has been involved in almost every games since the start of the season (Hence people will pick him) Murray has played 5-6 games all season. In other words, more dead teams would have Gomis.

With such low ownerships for both I wouldn't bet that Murray is actually in too many teams vs Gomis, even on this site.

Also remember this site isn't the be all and end all. I very much doubt that people in my mini leagues have considered either so saying that Murray is the differential out of the 2 isn't true.

This sounds like super paranoia, especially as you have a wildcard to save you team if everyone gets injured. You are not in a position where you should be worrying about the possibility of every player getting injured; make the most of your pre-wildcard puntage

If you are going to take a hit for one of them to get them in for GW34 whether that hit is in GW32, 33 or 34 doesn't really matter. Could argue that the sooner you get them in the more weeks you have to recover the hit.

I'd say that's about the only reason to save - thinking about it myself to see if we have more Remy news although I won't be so inclined to bring in a Chelsea player vs United so it's part of the reason I just want to do it this week.

I'd be happy to bring in a Chelsea Mid/Forward against Man U but will probably wait until before GW34 to get a defender in. I need a Cahill or Terry injury or red card so that Zouma gets back in, otherwise I'm going to need a hit or two.

Morning guys. Got 2FT this week, and in addition to Panti -> Davis, I'm pondering using the other to find that elusive differential for GW32/33 before wc'ing in GW34 (yes, I know I should should have used that FT last GW for Benteke/Austin....). Current team is:

    Panti - Hamer
    Terry - Ivanovic - Alderweireld - Dawson - Baird
    Hazard - Øzil - Silva - Eriksen - Boyd
    Kane - Aguero - Giroud

    2FT, £0.4 itb

Thinking about shipping Eriksen or Aguero, or is that just stupid with Spurs having Villa at home. Looking using 2nd FT for

    A) Eriksen -> Puncheon/Zaha
    B) Eriksen -> Herrera/Mata
    C) Aguero -> Rooney
    D) Aguero -> Murray
    E) save

    opinions much appreciated, guys!

I'm in a dilemma after Naughton injury and am doubtful about what to do. My team is

    Davis, Panti
    Terry, Dawson, Bellerin, Naughton, PVA
    Alexis, Haz, Silva, Mane, Boyd
    Kane, Kun, Giroud

    Have no FTs, no WC.

    I'm planning to do
    GW33: Naughton & Giroud -> Morgan & Remy (hit)
GW34: Mane & Aguero -> Sterling & Sturridge (hit again)

How's this for a plan. Or would you do something else?

    Cheers.

Not worth bringing in a Leicester defender especially not for a hit, and I'd maybe look ant Henderson over Sterling. Also monitor Sturridges fitness, hopefully it will be clearer by GW34 deadline.

Hendo is a good option. Cheers. Yeah, monitoring Sturridge as well. This is the plan if all goes well. But I won't have 11 players if I don't take the hit for Morgan. Leave it to 10 then?

No problem with leaving our a defender, most likely 1-2 points missed - so if defender is for a hit, it's 1-2 points gained.

    Courtois. Heaton.

    Sterling. Hazard. Kouyate. Eriksen. Townsend.
    Girpud. Kane. Nugent.

Have 1.4 in bank and 2FTs and 1 WC

After that amazing DGW with Austin and Benteke i imagine those who held back (like myself) will be going all in for this double. Although it looks a lot better on paper i highly doubt it will be as profitable!

Even if DGW players will score big, everyone will have them. You will never ever be able to make up/lose that much ground in GW34

Everyone will have DGW players but not everyone will have the same ones.

I've found DGWs are usually the best time to make up ground.

Not many will have 9-10 DGW players in 34 and 6 in 37.

The DGW will smash up the template. Aguero is already gone from my team, Sanchez went long ago. Eriksen and Kane will also be gone and I'll have no Southampton defender.

That's the most highly owned defender option and the 2 most highly owned strikers (in the top 10k) out along with 2 highly owned midfielders.

I will either make a lot of ground over the last 5 games or lose a lot. But seeing they are all being replaced with players that have DGWs I think my chances are good.

Want to punt on a midfielder for the next 2 GWs as I have my WC left.
Do you think it's better to get Hendo/Coutinho for the Newcastle game and bench him for Moses in GW 33 or get in Siggy or Puncheon straight away?

If you can get Siggurdsson / Puncheon and then still get Henderson/Coutinho for the double (if they're using different midfield slots) then probably do that.

But bringing in Henderson this week and benching next week is a decent plan - great fixture this week.

Hi all - which option do you prefer?

A - Bring in Liv defender now and play with 10 men GW33 (plus 2 more Liv players GW34) - no hit

    B - Bring in SOT defender now, 11 men GW33, then 3 Liv players GW34 - -4 hit

    Thanks!

    Forster
    Koscielny Alderweireld Dawson
    Hazard Silva Eriksen Mane
    Aguero Kane Giroud

    Guzan Wolly PVA Boyd

    Thinking GW32: Kosc + Forster > Ivanovic + Davies
    GW33: Aguero > Costa (if he's fit)
    GW34: Eriksen + PVA > Coutinho/Sterling + Moreno

    Thoughts?

Mourinho press conference will bring us more headaches. Never going to get a straight answer from him.

Mourinho: "He'll be back in 2 weeks" = out for the season
Mourinho: "Unlikely he'll back" = he'll start both games in 34
