It would when some DGW players are absent in said week. I'd prefer using free transfers to get out a worse 11 for the upcoming week, then WCing to get the optimal DGW team.
I guess it depends on your squad, but I currently need to take 1-2 hits just to get 11 out this week, which I could avoid with WCing now and still setting myself up with the optimal DGWers, e.g. 3 CHE, 2 LIV and 1 ARS (on the bench this week) for GW34. Can use the freebies over the coming weeks to max out on LIV and ARS DGWers also. I think it's a decent move.
