Three middle-aged beards collide to talk Fantasy Football. Hipsters? Sadly, as Jonty so rightly points out, we bear a closer resemblance to a trio of David Brents.

A clean-shaven Ryan joins us to complete the quartet and boost the credibility: the Kiwi contributor wakes fresh and ready for action to mull over the Gameweek gone, the week’s transfer bandwagons and to look forward to the weekend’s action.

Around those regulars, we brace ourselves for the latest bout of quizzing from you, the community. We tackle the potential of the Palace form guys and the unlikely contribution from Hull and Leicester, as we cast an early eye on the looming double Gameweek.

The ScoutCast was beamed out live on Wednesday via a Google Hangout and you can view the full video recording on the player below.

Alternatively, for the polished, low-fat audio version can be found via this link or the first player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Replace Bertrand with Skrtel or Moreno for DGW?

Moreno will give my Sanchez instead of Ramsey, for Sterling GW36.

Moreno, purely on the fact you get sanchez back

With Gerrard back, do you think Coutinho could outscore Henderson with 4 points over the double?

Henderson's output with Gerrard on the pitch is horrible!

I think Gerrard may start QPR and Palace at home, to honor him .
These are games I want Hendo to play at his best FPL-wise..

Sterling is a must have, the question is who to have beside him.
Coutinho or Henderson? Take it we all have Skrtel/Moreno.

Hendo maybe, but Coutinho is not over performing FPL-wise.
His stats are amazing, but the output a little far from it.

Henderson is a good player with slightly inflated recent score with the pennos.

Coutinho is just not very good full stop (relative to his nomination and standing amongst Liverpool fans). Has a couple of stand out moments but is then ineffective for the rest of the game. Not even a top 10 midfielder for me in the country.

Really hope Remy is confirmed fit for this week. As right now I have 4 players with blanks. If he isn't, I'll probably have to do Alexis --> Fab, giving me 3 Chelsea, and then have Giroud against Chelsea during the double. Would much prefer having Remy/Sterling instead of Fab/Giroud

Lovren was looking sloppy (in spite of the 3 bp) in that last match.

Lads I'm in what the Spanish would call El Pickle. I only have 10 players at the moment but 2 FTS

    Myhill

    Clyne Fonte Dawson (Bellerin Hutton)

    Hazard Eriksen Boyd Silva (Sanchez)

    Kane Kun (Austin)

    A) Austin - Murray

    B) ANYTHING ELSE!

I absolutely love it. Similarly, as a born and bred scouser I love and am proud of Liverpool, but I needed a change after being there for my whole life, and London just has so much variety and things of interest, it's fantastic. I can see why it might overwhelm some people, but it's a wonderful city.

They should scrap the Europa League. It's sad how teams at this stage of this season around 5th-7th can look at losing as a positive.

    1. Ruth_NZ
      • 10 Years
      10 years, 8 months ago

      That's a very narrow view.

The reason PL teams are reluctant about it is because (a) PL revenues dwarf what can be made from the Europa League (unless you reach at least the semi-finals), and (b) the CL is a financial holy grail and the 2nd rank teams (Liverpool, Spurs) think that Europa League puts them at a disadvantage for making the top 4.

It's not the same elsewhere in Europe where domestic TV revenues are nowhere near as high and are sometimes dominated by individual clubs selling their own rights as in Spain. 18-team leagues are also the general rule and there is usually only one domestic cup so clubs have less games. In that situation the Europa League is a welcome addition to a club's revenues and prestige.

Seeing the Europa League is for clubs across all of Europe it seems a bit xenophobic to want to scrap it just because it doesn't suit English teams.

Then a friend put a very good point to me, if Hazard is the players player should he not also win the young players as well. Is this allowed? His point was is that if he is the best player he surely has to be the best young player as well.

It seems daft that someone who's eligible for both and wins POTY won't win YPOTY by default so it will probably happen

Vikings from History channel, eh? I can't get into that. Seems a bit overdone. Overacted. Overstaged. Over-everything. And, I can't really buy into the pretty blonde doubling as a vicious, bloody warrior. But, that's just me. For all I know if I gave it a chance, I might get into it. Anyways, Go Lebron and the gang. Best combo this week from this lot?

    Myhill - Pantilimon
van Aanholt - Alderweireld - Wollscheid - Clyne - Dawson
    Hazard - Sánchez - Silva - Boyd - Eriksen
    Remy - Agüero - Kane

    2 FT, £0.8m in the bank, WC34.

    a) Bolassie + Murray + Wolly
    b) Remy + Bolassie + Baines
    c) Murray + Boyd + Baines
    d) something else containing 2 changes

    Cheers in advance 🙂

just think the pressures off Palace and they'll free-wheel to the end of the season. WBA struggling for motivation at the moment and leaking lots of goals.

Think thats the difference with an attacking mindset vs a defensive mindset at this stage of the season with not much on the line

      Newcastle fans are pretty clueless

Harassed Pardew out now they're trying to harass Ashley out and will end up in the championship
