Our hopes of besting Paddy this weekend rest in the able hands – and feet – of Liverpool’s mercurial playmaker, Leicester’s imposing centre-back and Tottenham’s talismanic marksman.

Although Philippe Coutinho hasn’t netted in his last five league ties, the Brazilian starlet (17) has attempted seven more shots than Raheem Sterling (10) in the last six Gameweeks and has scored two in three starts in all competitions. Ally this with the fact that the Reds have recorded eight shut-outs in their previous 12 fixtures and we’re willing to take up Paddy’s 15/2 offer on Coutinho to score and Liverpool to keep a clean sheet away to West Brom, parting with £4 in our favourite wager of the week.

Our second bet has us backing Robert Huth to net his second goal in three outings for Leicester City. No Premier League defender has notched as many goal attempts (nine) or penalty box touches (24) as the Stoke City loanee in the last six Gameweeks. With the Foxes facing a Clarets outfit that’s drawn blanks in six of their last seven matches, Paddy’s massive 40/1  odds on Huth to score and Leicester to keep a clean sheet against Burnley is worthy of a £3 investment.

Harry Kane is the target of our final flutter this weekend, as Tottenham Hotspur prepare to lock horns with Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium. The Spurs frontman banished a two-match dry spell last time out against Newcastle United and ranks second among all forwards in terms of goal attempts (eight) in the last two Gameweeks. Kane has tallied a brace or more on five occasions this term and we’re backing him to repeat the feat, placing the remaining £3 on Paddy’s 55/1 offer on Kane to score two or more goals and Tottenham to keep a clean sheet against Southampton.

    In a way, it is quite fun when you are so far adrift. I've just rolled the dice and done a 12er.

    Kane -> Drogba
    Fellaini -> Sterling
    Alderweireld -> Skrtel
    Sanchez -> Coutinho

    What can possibly go wrong, 7 doublers now

        That is purely as a differential. I know in my head there's more downside risk from Kane to a 38 year old workhorse.

    I have 5 DGWers so far (Hazard, Vardy, Henderson, Ivanovic + Bruce) and looking for 1 or 2 more.
    Each one will mean a hit though

    My options are:
    a) Krul/Myhill to Schmeichel
    b) Silva to Sterling
    c) Yoshida to Schupp
    d) Someone else?

    Given the fixtures I think Leicester defence could be interesting for the run in anyway (certainly better than Krul and Myhill in nets, but I'm always wary of taking a hit for a keeper).
    City need to up their game in the run in to guarantee a decent CL slot and Sterling is inconsistent, so Silva to Sterling doesn't feel like a shoe-in even with the double.

    Thoughts?

    Here's for people saying Thursday's training pics means nothing for the Bib Theory:
    Although, orange bib means Sterling starts with green bib Can, Sktrel, Hendo, Allen benched xD

    “Why are you called The Bib Theorists?”

    That’s a question we have been haunted with since the decision was made. To be short and sweet here is the answer: On a Thursday the club release training photographs from Melwood. In these photos all the players are shown at some point. If a player is seen to be wearing an orange bib, they have been known to be in the starting eleven for that week’s Saturday fixture. This idea was called “Bib Theory”.

      A theory is a contemplative and rational type of abstract or generalizing thinking.

        I want to make clear here that I don’t believe Bib Theory as it is very open for change and also the name is created in jest. However, it has been known to be right more than wrong.

    Last throw of the dice this week. 70pts behind in ML, 120 ahead of 3rd.

    Rival will almost certainly captain Hazard.

    Do I follow suit and hope my others make enough ground or do I go all in and captain sterling/coutinho/skrtel (he will almost certainly transfer at least 1 of these in if not 2)

    A) Sterling
    B)coutinho
    C) skrtel

      Yeah 🙂

      I think you should go for it. I agree, it's his ownership that is the worrying bit. Kane only has 1 good fixture in the last 5. Vardy has 4/5 good fixtures.

      As much as it's fun to gamble, I actually think Vardy could match him and they both get 3-4 goals. Vardy's cheaper too.

      Still the keeper issue for me though. Thinking just go Giroud, Sanchez, Ramsey for the DGW.
