Only one FPL manager could withstand a 52-point hit and walk away with a smile on their face. In this week’s ScoutCast episode we tell the extraordinary tale of the FPL champion’s “inactive” Wildcard, whilst looking back on Granville’s own, rather more successful squad refresh.

We tackle all the usual regulars, as Jonty arrives armed with another array of quizzical requests from you, the community. We look forward to the Gameweek 37 double Gameweek, assess the role of end of season motivation and recall the moment that Jamie Vardy’s girlfriend turned our world upside down. No really.

This week’s episode was published live on Monday via Google Hangouts. You can view the full, uncut footage in the larger player below or via our YouTube channel.

If you prefer the slick, slimline audio edition, you’ll need this link or the first player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

He was a nice price for those switching to Liverpool players last week and to Jagielka this week.

Sadly i think you're correct ... although the poodle next door brought in Grioud whilst he's holding with Kane in a "winner takes all league" - so he might have some incentive to stick with it for a while.

I would bench Murray and play Wollsheid, save the FT and then next week you can do:

      1) Murray & Ivanovic > Giroud & Koscielny
      2) Murray & Sterling > Giroud / Benteke & Ramsey / Siggy
      3) Other transfers involving the riddance of Murray and the accumulation of Arsenal players

Play Clyne or Bertrand this week?

On Bertrand at the moment, he seems to be slightly more attacking. Watching the Spurs game that was definitely the case although that could have been because he was up against Dier, whereas Clyne was against Rose. Thoughts?

Honestly think it's a coin flip, either could snag a cheeky assist, or flop completely.

Clyne maybe, just to stick by the lad through his price drop.

Bellerin is one of those players worth holding if you own but not worth a transfer in if you don't. If you can do Murray -> Giroud for free go for it, if not play Lennon.

It's a great point Ryan, they were working really well with each other recently and were assisting the others' goals a lot. I don't think it will matter too much as they have a slick midfield capable of providing the opportunities ... but I'd definitely be looking at Benteke more seriously if Gabby was on the other side of the box. with him.

He shared about his ill fate during the World Cup fantasy thing. He always sounded optimist. I was sure he would pull through. 🙁
He gave his all in that fight against the cancer. He was a damn good fighter. 🙁

get a family member, girlfriend, friend, or stranger to do it.

then it's not your fault when Kane gets a hatty in the golden boot shootout this weekend.

in all seriousness, i think it's a good transfer to make. Benteke was fantastic against City and when he's on form, he's fpl gold dust.

Those one touches and flick ons he's been executing during a competitive game have been audacious.

I want to be excited by FPL again and Kane isn't offering that at the moment and I just love it when Benteke's on form as he's a joy to watch. In saying that there is a sensible part to my mind that urges caution with such a move. I think I'll do it anyway though.

It's quite an exciting move tbh Ryan. Id do it in a flash if I had Giroud in my team. But now I cant decide whether to bring in Giroud or Benteke :/

Fortunately I already have Giroud so I do believe I'm in a handy position compared to a lot of other people. The boring thing to do is save a transfer but then what good is that next week once Spurs have played a tough game against City. If feel as if if I don't do the move now, I'll never do it.

Don't do it, Home game against City this week, Hull in 37, he has dipped but he's still ticking over and still has the potential to score big, they are a different animal at home with their support.

He does, 3 home games in 4 I believe but Kane also has 2 nice homes, you are protecting a rank so it would be really ballsy to dump him now and Villa are still a team near the bottom so those nice fixtures are also nice for opposition teams.

I'm sure players like Kane and Aguero will want that Golden Boot in a season that delivered little for their teams.

It's a big call mate, could work but could mess up a great season for you.

I wouldn't do it this week (if it was me) Kane has excelled in the big games at home this season and City ain't the best at the back while Everton have been fairly tight recently are on a bit of form, I'd see how this week goes and if he does poorly you've given him a chance.

              Who you captaining this week?

Head says Hazard but feel Aguero is the one for me.

I haven't put too much thought into it so my head doesn't say much on that one.

Gut says Aguero so its on him at the moment and it will probably stay there. I do believe City will smash Tottenham.

This is a tough one, and as a few say it could go either way. There are good reasons for both. I made this transfer today because I was planning on doing it prior to the results of GW34, and GW34 gave me no reason to want to keep Sterling. Sanchez hasn't been in the greatest BPL form, but scored a brace in the FA semi-final. I already have Hendo, along with Haz & Fab, and don't want to have my mid represented by only 2 teams. GW35 is make or break for me in ML because I'm going against #1 team. If I win, likely to win the season, if I lose, then I'm done. He has Sterling, so it will be interesting!

re my sterling to Sanchez transfer this week or next, I decided to check the goalscoring odds for this week.

    Sterling: 2.00
    Sanchez: 2.25

Obviously not reliable but I'd agree there is no big edge in getting Sanchez this week, so I'll just play safe and hold sterling one more week
