This evening we roll out the quarter final draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as the semi-final draw for the Fantasy Football Members Cup V.

Mark continues to fight another day, after seeing off Eedee in round seven in the FFS Paddy Power Cup XI. He is the highest placed manager in the competition with a Fantasy Premier League rank of 155 and squares up to johni00 in the quarter finals.

Another of the FFScout team has made it through. Our moderator and Scoutcast guest Ryan beat the competition’s previously highest ranked manager, fuml_akimbo, and now faces HammersXI.

In the other quarter final ties, HuttonDressedAsLahm takes on Mowgli and faux_C is matched with Jon Nurse, who has won £25 worth of free bets with Paddy Power after his round seven tally of 68 proved to be round seven’s highest score.

In the Fantasy Football Members Cup V, the first semi-final will see the competition’s highest placed manager Tdubb05, who is ranked 1345th, take on waltzingmatildas. Meanwhile, Alwilb’s semi final opponent is faux_C, the only competitor to be in with a chance of winning both our cups.

The full quarter final draw for the FFS Paddy Power Cup XI can be found here, while the semi-final draw for the Members Scout Cup V can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

    Best move?

    A. Fabregas+Henderson ➡ Sanchez+Adam for -4
    B. Fabregas+Henderson ➡ Sanchez+Gomez/Larsson for -4
    C. Hazard ➡ Sanchez (Will get Hazard back for the last gw)

Just a knock Felipe, nothing too worrying albeit he was subbed at the 60ish minute mark. Arsene said this fwiw, "Aaron Ramsey got a big kick and that is swollen but it should not be too bad."

Will Ramseys form run dry before the DGW and therefore is Ozil a better option? both looked good the other night, Ozil seems more assured of game time than Ramsey. Views ?

Ozil for differential, Ramsey to go with majority. All depends on whether you're chasing or leading.

    3. Zasa

      11 years, 3 days ago

To be honest, I just don't see the logic behind Ramsey getting blue balls before the DGW, as there has been little no nothing to suggest that and I imagine weak logic to back it up (knock aside). Regarding their gametime, I don't think a logical hypothesis can be made here unless Ramsey's knock somehow leads to some injury later on. Not sure there is any concrete evidence to suggest Ozil is more "nailed-on" either IMO.

I think it's a gut call here Lardy IMO, just go with who you think will score more/has better underlying stats. Really can't make a compelling case as to their potential rotation threat, but I will say that Ramsey looked far more threatening vs Hull from open-play and from what I saw was making more runs in the box and getting shots off (sill check the stats later).

Skrtel + Sterling > Stones + Sanchez (-4) to give me:

    ...............Schmeichel

          Hmmm...may be true.

Actually it's difficult to find a def with some CS potential at this stage of the season.

I'd go for a Sunderland defender if you don't have one already.

Otherwise, WBA def if you only need him this gw. Villa def if you need him for all 3 games.

it's tough..Gerrard definitely plays GW37, last Anfield game and all..so I think he may sit out Chelsea just because I don't think he can hang with the crowd..if that's the case then Hendo is prime and on all set pieces..I don't see Chelsea conceding from open play, but set pieces are a different story

Like I said to someone earlier, when you're comparing combos remove all the players that appear in both, it's easier to look at/work out. So:

      A) PVA, Giroud
      B) Ivan, Wickham (& can get upgrade Skrtel to Kos for 3rd Ars/4th DGW)

I'd go A I think but I could be convinced B is better

Vardy, Fab, Ivan -> Benteke, Sanchez, Stones (or other 5.4m def) for a -8 hit? Yay or nay?

Really want to have both Benteke and Sanchez this week, but not sure it is worth a -8 hit. Basically no other way to get them.

Oh, and currently leading by 4pts in my ML. He has Sanchez, but no Tekkers as of yet.

2FT and £0.5m in the bank.

    Schemeichel
    Terry Vlaar Skrtel
    Hazard Fabregas Sterling Henderson
    Aguero Giroud Benteke

    Bench - Schlupp, Cambiasso, PVA

    A) Skrtel > Kos
    Sterling > Ramsey/Ozil for free

    B) Skrtel > Kos
Henderson > Gomez (play 433 and bring Gomez in for the DGW next week)
    Fabregas > Sanchez....for a -4

B might seem a little bit crazy but best way I can find to get Sanchez!

Tekkers is on absolute fire. Stoke beat Tottenham 1-2 at the Lane. I just think Spurs won't fancy it. I think Benteke has more potential at home to West Ham but it really is touch and go whether it's worth a hit. You'd need Tekkers to outperform Kane by a goal or an assist + BPS.....quite plausible IMHO

A with Gomez out of those options.

Extra game, pens and relegation dog fight.

definitely not B. close between A and C. I think hendo is decent to have for the last couple

I heard it was just a knock for Moreno right? Starting to lean towards BR not favoring him in a 4 at the back formation tbh. Yeah I like Hendo, but it all depends on Gerrard's status on the team, hopefully sits the last two out at least.

Thanks Champy, leaning towards C now as it is relatively risk free and Greakish has looked quality + has corners.

Just realised I have the exact cash for-

    Fabregas+Henderson+Vardy ➡ Sanchez+Gomez+Defoe for -8.

3 DGWers in is tempting me now. 🙄

    A. Sterling+Hendo -> Sanchez+Gomez (-4) then GW37 Fab->Ramsey
    or
    B. Fab->Sanchez then GW37 then GW37 Sterling+Hendo->Ramsey+Gomez (-4)

    all for a -4 hit

    A) Sterling + Skrtel > Sanchez + Stones (leaves 0.1m itb)
    B) Sterling + Skrtel > Sanchez + Vlaar (leaves 1.0m itb)
    C) Sterling + Hendo > Sanchez + Gomez (leaves 1.0 itb)

    - with A I think Everton aren't on hols yet and still playing for pride so could CS this week
    - with B I think Sherwood will want to keep the form high leading up to the cup final and Vlaar is so cheap it offers more maneuverability elsewhere
    - with C it softens the blow of the -4 immensely by getting in two DGWers ahead of time, also Gomez on pens

      MY combination obviously

There is so much upside to defenders in a DGW I think it's madness not to have one, nick a goal and a clean sheet....you're away

Looks like no one's fancying Defoe for the DGW.

Any particular reason? I'm guessing most don't have room with Aguero - Giroud - Benteke/Kane.

I'm most likely going without Giroud (Kosc, Rambo, Sanchez) so may look at Vardy -> Defoe for the DGW

      he is on my watchlist.

yeah the other striker options are looking very good so that's why not many are considering old mate Defoe

    Kasper
    Skrtel Ivan Kosc
    Hazard Fab Sterling Hendo
    Aguero Kane Vardy

    Krul Cambiasso PVA Duff

Fab and Sterling -> Sanchez and Ramsey looks the obvious move?
