This evening we roll out the quarter final draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI, as sponsored by Paddy Power, as well as the semi-final draw for the Fantasy Football Members Cup V.

Mark continues to fight another day, after seeing off Eedee in round seven in the FFS Paddy Power Cup XI. He is the highest placed manager in the competition with a Fantasy Premier League rank of 155 and squares up to johni00 in the quarter finals.

Another of the FFScout team has made it through. Our moderator and Scoutcast guest Ryan beat the competition’s previously highest ranked manager, fuml_akimbo, and now faces HammersXI.

In the other quarter final ties, HuttonDressedAsLahm takes on Mowgli and faux_C is matched with Jon Nurse, who has won £25 worth of free bets with Paddy Power after his round seven tally of 68 proved to be round seven’s highest score.

In the Fantasy Football Members Cup V, the first semi-final will see the competition’s highest placed manager Tdubb05, who is ranked 1345th, take on waltzingmatildas. Meanwhile, Alwilb’s semi final opponent is faux_C, the only competitor to be in with a chance of winning both our cups.

The full quarter final draw for the FFS Paddy Power Cup XI can be found here, while the semi-final draw for the Members Scout Cup V can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

    Who are more accurate. FPL statistics have Rambo on 90% to rise & Fiso have him on 3%
    Confused. I can only accommodate 1 price rise before the double. So keen to know who is more accurate?

      there should be some kind of accuracy-measurement on the site. Both FPL and FFF have it

    I'll try to keep this short but wanted to give some context around my thoughts.

    So I was considering getting rid of Kane, Sterling, Fabregas for Benteke, 4.6m mid, Sanchez this week and keeping Vardy.

    The other option is to get rid of Vardy and the same midfielders but I would have to go for a different Arsenal midfielder and then get Sanchez in GW37. It also means I need to swap Ivanovic (instead of Skrtel/Clyne) to Koscielny

    So basically:

    A) Get rid of Kane for Benteke but get Sanchez this week. Koscielny comes in for Skrtel/Clyne in GW37 - extra week to think on additional Arsenal mid

    B) Get rid of Vardy for Benteke, can't get Sanchez until GW37 and Ivanovic has to go. Does mean I can afford Larsson instead of a 4.6m mid though. It also means I have to make my choice on Ozil/Ramsey/Cazorla a week earlier which is annoying with Ramsey’s knock.

    Thoughts?

      Would go with A. Ramsey's knock does make things awkward if you go with B

        How about this scenario. I'm taking a -4 this week and -4 next week, that's pretty much set in stone.

        I could do a -8 this week and nothing the week after and do this:

        Ivanovic, Sterling, Fabregas, Vardy

        to

        Koscielny, Gomez, Sanchez, Benteke.

        Then do Silva to Arsenal midfielder the week after

    Repost from last page!

    Grealish (WHU) or Albrighton (SOT) for this week only?

    Remember, both Albrighton's assist's came from set pieces against Newcastle.

      Tough one. Prefer Grealish's fixture but he doesn't shoot much. Flip a coin I'd say.

        Couldn't that be based on nerves considering he has only started 4 games this season? He could start to open up from now onwards.

              I getcha, I would like him too but happy with that dreamy Albrighton.

              Grealish one to watch tho for sure. Come out of nowhere really hasn't he, but looks the part.

    Repost* Stuck in the bottom.

    Ok guys, I'll finish my secondary school in a couple of months, and are now supposed to choose university/type of study. I'm not sure what I want to study, but what I do know, is that I want the study to be somehow related to FPL. What I mean by this is, I want it to make me a better FPL-player 🙂

    Would love your opinians on this, and have to apply within the weekend.

    My thinking is;

    1. Engineering/mathematics to improve my logial thinking.

    2. Economics, will teach me about stats etc.

    3. Psychology, could've maybe helped me foreseen Sterling's down in form, due to contract-talks, and gone for Coutinho instead.

    4. Language .Will giove me a great advantage as I'll be able to read the local news on different players in the PL. Spanish points out, rly.

    Cheers all! 😀

      I hope this is a joke! Let me explain...

      You have a golden opportunity to choose your path in life... don't let something that has nothing to do with the real world influence that! I'm not even sure any of those would improve your FPL skills.

      FPL is really not that hard... it's just about patience, planning, keeping an open mind and knowing which stats/indicators are important.

        thanks for the in-dept response. Sry for taking your time, but was a joke, rly. Have been wondering if there is some kind of mind-set/study that helps your thinking though. I study engineering, myself and am always happy to see my ml-rivals being engineering too, and for the small amount of high-ranked players I've checked out, engineering has been probably 30 % or something.

    A Skrtel > Vlaar. Bench Sterling this week and upgrade to Sanchez for free next week

    Need some help on the best option for the DGW (already own kos, giroud and panti)...

    A)
    GW36 - SAVE
    GW37 - Sterling-> Sanchez; Hendo ->Larsson/Gomez (currently ave exact cash for Larsson but Sanchez likely to rise)

    B)
    GW36 - Hazard -> Sanchez
    GW37 – Hendo/Mane -> Larsson

    C)
    GW36 - Sterling-> Sanchez; Hendo ->Larsson (-4)
    GW37 – Luxury transfer (will already have 3 Arsenal and 2 Sunderland)

    What do you reckon is the best way to go?

      You may as well not take the hit. Not likely to get much from the luxury transfer. With that in mind, I'd go A.

    Need to take a hit to afford Benteke in for either Austin or Vardy.

    Should I go with:

    a) Hazard to Ozil/Cazorla
    b) Fonte to Bellerin/Monreal.
    c) Mignolet to Ospina

    I'm chasing someone who (currently) has Mignolet, Hazard, Ramsey and no Arsenal defenders.

      0 FT makes this difficult. I think it is essential to get rid of Vardy and get Benteke in, but you are not be able to do it without -8. That -8, if correctly executed, may, of course, pay in the end.

    Best defender for this GW under £5.6. Currently looking at Stones, hull / WBA or bellerin / PVA. Worry over bellerin is rotation in DGW and prefer Kosc

        It's either that move or -8 for Kosc and Stones. Think it may be wise to bring in Kosc the following week. -8 seems a steep hit this GW

      I've done a triple banger too along the lines of option B.

        Thanks man. B just kind of feels right, even though I'm taking a hit.

    Looks like we're still some time away from a Sanchez price rise.

    Is his value going to have an adverse affect on the numbers bringing him in, or is it simply because we've not hit the peak transfer period?

    Any outside chance his price will remain stable through to next week?

    Did anyone else transfer OUT Benteke for Austin the week he started this insane tear? Perhaps my worst transfer of the season.
