Could be crazy but how about this:

    GW36: Fabregas + Ivan > Ozil + Zouma/Luis

    GW37: Silva + Henderson > Sanchez + Ramsey/Cazorla

    I would still have Hazard

That is just unacceptable name-shortening. For it to work, it has to sound right.

Good. Liking the way my team is looking actually.

I am planning on 3 Sunderland next week though that could still change. But I'd quite like to see Sunderland get something at Everton to keep things interesting for them.

Basically next week will come down to 1 transfer - N'Doye to Kane, Austin or Wickham/Defoe. Already have 3 Arsenal and 2 Sunderland.

So what is it for you? Clyne and Sterling to Vlaar and Sanchez or something?

Okay nice. Do you already have Sanchez? Did you have him this week?

Which Sunderland players do you have?

Yep, exactly that. Then looking at Silva/Hazard -> Ramsey next week.

Another option would be Sterling -> Ramsey for free this week, then Hazard -> Sanchez next week. I think I prefer the above option though

            1. Ruth_NZ

              Thereby hangs a tale actually.

My wildcard plan left cash for Fabregas to Sanchez last week. But I didn't do it because I think Fabregas is playing really well. So I saved FT and missed 12 points.

This week, however, I have been able to use 2FTs to do Sterling and Henderson to Sanchez and Larsson. And I think Fabregas may claw back some or all of those 12 points by the end of season. He could well be on pens if Hazard is rested and Remy starts. We'll see.

              PvA is my other Sunderland.

Unlucky with that, it was probably the right move on paper. As you said though, it could still work out in the long run.

                Larsson punt, I like it.

If my above moves were for a hit, would you still fancy doing them?

                  • 11 Years
                  10 years, 9 months ago

                  Hmmm...

I am reluctant about hits now. If it were me I'd do Sterling to Ramsey this week and Henderson to Cazorla next if the cash works. I think Cazorla is under-rated as a DGW option.

But if you are set on Sanchez then this week is the week to take the hit.

0.2 short of that unfortunately. Decent idea though.

Yeah I'll probably take the hit. Going without Alexis is too scary

PS If Hazard misses this week I'd keep him. Chelsea have Sunderland (h) in GW 38 before the trophy presentation. And they have a track record for very high scoring games last day of the season.

They way your team is shaping up you have a great chance of the elusive top 1k. You can't be more than 10 or 12 points short, right?

                Yeah that's a good point.

Wouldn't say I have a great chance, I've been in free fall lately. 1 green arrow in 7 weeks. Yes I think is around 10-12 points.

Where are you at rank wise now?

Nice mate, good chance for Top 10K in your first season.

Although I'll be disappointed if I don't make top 1K considering I was in it for 20 weeks of the season straight, it's still a good finish in my first proper season of fantasy.

Fingers crossed for you. I guess Sanchez gives you an easy captain choice in 37 since no Giroud. So the hit's probably worthwhile.

As for me, had I not completely misplayed the DGWs in 28 and 31 I'd be well inside the top 5k. Learned my lesson from that.

Well, 28 I captained SGW Aguero instead of DGW Kane. A really stupid move only excused by never having seen a DGW before.

Then in 31 I made 2FTs without bringing in a single DGW player - no Phillips, no Austin, no Benteke. Consequently a huge red that week. I dropped from 9k to 27k over those 2 DGWs and have had to claw it back to 11k since then.

All good learning though. Those are mistakes I won't make again, Next season I'll doubtless find some new ones. 😉

It's a decent move because of the DGW, but Liverpool's last 2 games are quite good, it's still a better move than Moreno to Yoshida/Duff though.

I do. Hazard has been playing through fatigue, he's played an enormous amount of games for Chelsea and Belgium over the last 2 seasons with only a 3 week break in the summer.

Pity Bayern don't have Robben for this game.....even more so than Ribery or Gotze he can really go into another gear and tear past a few players.

Why? It's always fun to see him bottle the semi finals. Hasn't won one since 2010.

    Who would you start?

    Dawson (Newcastle A)
    Alderweireld (Leicester A)

Newcastle have been awful and Pulis seems to have got WBA pretty solid at the back again where as Southampton are letting in goals since they lost their keeper. Also ... Leicester are scoring for fun!
