With just three Gameweeks of the season remaining, our round-up of the Fantasy Foot Scout leagues returns this evening. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports and the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) Champions League game, there’s plenty to catch up on.

Fantasy Premier League

Simon March, aka “Dufflinks”, remains at the summit of the Scout League – and the overall standings – after carding a solid 57 points in Gameweek 35. Despite the likes of Olivier Giroud and Raheem Sterling failing to deliver last time out, a 12-point haul from Wes Morgan and 16 points from Manchester City duo David Silva and Sergio Aguero ensured that Simon still enjoys a 31-point buffer.

Jeff Ryan spearheads the chasing pack, having closed the gap on Simon with 72 points in the last batch of fixtures. Jeff, who sits fourth in the global leaderboard, made an astute call and took a four-point hit to draft in Christian Benteke for David Nugent. Better yet, the Belgian marksman was handed the armband, complementing strong returns from the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Silva and his double Chelsea defensive coverage (Branislav Ivanovic and John Terry).

Third-placed Kev Gleave profited from his decision to retain Alexis Sanchez’s services since Gameweek Nine, matching Jeff’s score (72) for the Gameweek. Eden Hazard’s decent run-out as captain and 22 points from a three-man rearguard comprised of Morgan, Terry and Ivanovic served to render last weekend a success for Kev.

Resting six points shy of the top three, Killian Long kept faith with this double Gameweek players and rolled out a five-man midfield that included three Liverpool (Sterling, Coutinho, Jordan Henderson) and two Chelsea recruits (Hazard, Cesc Fabregas). Coutinho, Morgan and Kasper Scmeichel’s clean sheet delivered the bulk of his 68 points, while Sergio Aguero’s captaincy proved a lucrative decision.

Meanwhile, with 88 points, fifth-placed Matthew Greenland posted the fourth-highest score of any manager currently gracing the top 50. Boaz Myill, Sanchez and a captained Benteke combined for 58 points as Matthew secured his best Gameweek rank (3,523) of the campaign.

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Simon March has a 45-point advantage over second-placed Killian Long, whilst Malcolm Rich takes third spot after an 89-point Gameweek 35 took him onto 2205 points for the season. Our Members league is third in the FPL “Best Leagues”, with the Fantasy Football Scout league sitting at the summit with three rounds of fixtures remaining.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Damian Lindall (2635 points) maintained a healthy lead over second-placed Obay Eid (2596 points) in our UFPL Scout League, courtesy of a 64-point haul that sees him rank fourth overall. Lying 17 points back from Obay, Sean Tobin (2579 points) tallied an eye-watering 83 points last Gameweek, having invested faith in Benteke as captain. To join our UFPL league, use the code 524-87.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Geoff Pryor sits atop the Scout League with an impressive 2246 points, yet Katie Burgin is mounting a title charge of her own with just three points separating the pair. A 21-point gap has opened up between Katie and third-placed Kevin Anderson, who rests on 2222 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.

Champions League

Our official Champions League game this season is the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) offering – a free, reliable and easy-to-use Fantasy football app. With only two-and-a-half Matchdays left on the agenda, Adriel Chung leads the Scout League with 743 points. Hot on his heels is Gavin Rolston with 740 points, while Juan Garcia occupies the bronze medal berth on 725 points. There’s an iPad mini on offer to the winner – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

Probably Lukaku. Not sure who's playing at the back for Newcastle though, with all of them seemingly injured or suspended. It was worth asking the question IMO.

Probably Colocini and Dummett in central defence, which may actually be their best pairing despite the lack of height. They're struggling for fullbacks though. Could be Anita and Ryan Taylor.

That was actually my point. With them shipping goals in droves with their starters healthy, how bad my they be with guys who aren't as good as the starters?

Dummett is a doubt now so could be only one fit defender.

    Sanchez, Hazard, Silva, Sterling, Boyd
    Aguero, Benteke, Kane

Which Midfielder for under 6.7M has the best potential for the last few games of the season?

Cleverly and Villa are in good form, easy fixtures and he is playing for his next contract, any suggestions?

got a great one at 6.8

      Henderson is 6.7
      Barkley 6.6
      Lennon 6.2
      Delph has good fixtures
Fer has great fixtures in 37 & 38 and is in form again
Sissoko has a good fixtures on a desperate team

sorry about Hendo and good point on Lennon

Fer looks nice in the last couple of weeks if you can stomach him this week.

I keep thinking a punt on Newcastle assets will work soon as I think they've hit bottom... but maybe things can get worse O.O

Jonty said something interesting that the combo of Sanchez, Ramsey and Giroud would be quite rare /or uncommon...which happened to my his (and mine's) preferred choice.

A quick look at FPL suggest that around 30% of teams (top 10K) have Ospina/Bellerin and I doubt there's much doubling up, so one of the other, that still means 70% have enough slots to do what they want.

So anyone else DEFINITELY picking Sanchez, Ramsey and Giroud?

    2. Wonderful Wizard Hazard

That was my initial plan. Still considering it. I'm more worried about GW38 where I'll need a W to win my ML, and ARS defense might be better for me than 3 attack. My defense is pretty weak right now. Not as concerned about my OR right now as I'm 7k, and happy with that.

When you loon at the underlying stats, cazorla is second for shots on target, after sanchez. Giroud is bottom. That, coupled with penalties, makes me wonder why more people are considering giroud to cazorla..

    1. Heels_Over_Head
      • 12 Years

      Giroud takes more shots though.

We all know his conversion rate is terrible, usually hovers around 15%. He just get chance.

ManU are way overpriced for a Europa League quality team. I'd expect that value to plummet to Liverpool's level in the next 5 years.

        It's the commercial revenues.

United are a world brand alongside Barca and RM. Bayern aren't but have enormous commercial revenues from German companies. The income of those four dwarfs the what the rest have as a result. They will remain the top 4 for the forseeable future.

Not really a surprise. I would imagine United will be top of that again in a year or so once the new TV deals are reflected in the values especially with Barca & Madrid looking like they have to spread it more evenly now. It only took the team finishing top in Spain to get less TV money than the team finishing bottom of the Premier League for them to figure out it probably wasn't fair and to do something about it!!

I can't believe I'm asking it, and even more so it can't believe I'm leaning towards A, but who would you play:

    A - albrighton
    B - coutinho

A is a good shout on form and fixture

Chelsea won't turn over against Liverpool, seems to be a bit of history there so I can't see Liverpool players gaining many attacking points

This week... a bit on the crazy train.
Next week after QPR... good plan.

I'm the only one I know without Aguero going into this weekend. Don't have Silva either. I've been digging to make my Aguero couch bunker behind the couch bigger - you're welcome to join me there during the match.

I don't like it for two reasons . 1) Selling Aguero is extremely risky due to the number of people who will captain him 2) and far more importantly Arsenal and Sunderland have doubles surely you will be struggling to get dgw players in

      1. Trigg ⭐️
        • 13 Years

That would give me 3 Arsenal and 2 Sunderland.

Probably won't do it, just thought it could pay off IF Aguero blanks or scores just once.

3 Arsenal and 2 Sunderland is plenty . Aguero has scored 5 in his last 4 , is playing upfront on his own and has a very favourable fixture . Seems like a weird week to sell

Tough but l reckon Kane. I prefer Vardy's fixtures of Southampton (H), Sunderland (A) and QPR (H) to Kane's Stoke (A), Hull (H) and Everton (A).

It may well prove very fruitful to have Vardy at home to QPR on the final day if Leicester require a result to stay up.
