With just three Gameweeks of the season remaining, our round-up of the Fantasy Foot Scout leagues returns this evening. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports and the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) Champions League game, there’s plenty to catch up on.

Fantasy Premier League

Simon March, aka “Dufflinks”, remains at the summit of the Scout League – and the overall standings – after carding a solid 57 points in Gameweek 35. Despite the likes of Olivier Giroud and Raheem Sterling failing to deliver last time out, a 12-point haul from Wes Morgan and 16 points from Manchester City duo David Silva and Sergio Aguero ensured that Simon still enjoys a 31-point buffer.

Jeff Ryan spearheads the chasing pack, having closed the gap on Simon with 72 points in the last batch of fixtures. Jeff, who sits fourth in the global leaderboard, made an astute call and took a four-point hit to draft in Christian Benteke for David Nugent. Better yet, the Belgian marksman was handed the armband, complementing strong returns from the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Silva and his double Chelsea defensive coverage (Branislav Ivanovic and John Terry).

Third-placed Kev Gleave profited from his decision to retain Alexis Sanchez’s services since Gameweek Nine, matching Jeff’s score (72) for the Gameweek. Eden Hazard’s decent run-out as captain and 22 points from a three-man rearguard comprised of Morgan, Terry and Ivanovic served to render last weekend a success for Kev.

Resting six points shy of the top three, Killian Long kept faith with this double Gameweek players and rolled out a five-man midfield that included three Liverpool (Sterling, Coutinho, Jordan Henderson) and two Chelsea recruits (Hazard, Cesc Fabregas). Coutinho, Morgan and Kasper Scmeichel’s clean sheet delivered the bulk of his 68 points, while Sergio Aguero’s captaincy proved a lucrative decision.

Meanwhile, with 88 points, fifth-placed Matthew Greenland posted the fourth-highest score of any manager currently gracing the top 50. Boaz Myill, Sanchez and a captained Benteke combined for 58 points as Matthew secured his best Gameweek rank (3,523) of the campaign.

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Simon March has a 45-point advantage over second-placed Killian Long, whilst Malcolm Rich takes third spot after an 89-point Gameweek 35 took him onto 2205 points for the season. Our Members league is third in the FPL “Best Leagues”, with the Fantasy Football Scout league sitting at the summit with three rounds of fixtures remaining.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Damian Lindall (2635 points) maintained a healthy lead over second-placed Obay Eid (2596 points) in our UFPL Scout League, courtesy of a 64-point haul that sees him rank fourth overall. Lying 17 points back from Obay, Sean Tobin (2579 points) tallied an eye-watering 83 points last Gameweek, having invested faith in Benteke as captain. To join our UFPL league, use the code 524-87.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Geoff Pryor sits atop the Scout League with an impressive 2246 points, yet Katie Burgin is mounting a title charge of her own with just three points separating the pair. A 21-point gap has opened up between Katie and third-placed Kevin Anderson, who rests on 2222 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.

Champions League

Our official Champions League game this season is the Fantasy iTeam (FiT) offering – a free, reliable and easy-to-use Fantasy football app. With only two-and-a-half Matchdays left on the agenda, Adriel Chung leads the Scout League with 743 points. Hot on his heels is Gavin Rolston with 740 points, while Juan Garcia occupies the bronze medal berth on 725 points. There’s an iPad mini on offer to the winner – the league name is Fantasy Football Scout and the pin is 11155.

I hope Hazard isn't out, simply because I have to look at Sterling and Hendo in my team for another 3 weeks

just a gut feeling right now, why I'm holding my transfers until Friday..his last match at Anfield would be next week so this is a perfect game for him to sit out as

          A) he doesn't risk injury before the last home game of his Liverpool career
          B) it probably isn't a game he can hang in anyhow
          C) he's not helping their attack very much anyways

Hendo was unlucky not to get something vs Hull and I don't see Chelsea necessarily conceding from open play which means it comes down to Hendo's set pieces.

Interesting question at the end of the Hazard article:

Do you think Hazard can become the best player in the world?

    What do we think lads?

I clicked no, but it's a hard question. Maybe one season when Messi and Ronaldo are on the way down and he helps Chelsea win the CL that year he'd be in with a shout of the Balon D'or. But there's always going to be someone else. How many times have players been heralded as 'top 3 in the world'? I don't think he has been near as outstanding as Suarez was last season to win the PFA award.
Yes or no question I think I would say no.

It is a difficult question. And, to some degree, a perhaps useless debate in the long run, as there are several outstanding players who are at the top of the game. I know this much. He tends to "control" the games he plays in. How many times do the opposition need to resort to fouling him just to settle down his bursts? Pretty much every other time he's on the ball...and he's on the ball often.

Oh, but now you're saying he won't be appreciated as the best in the world because he is not playing selfishly only for himself. In my eyes, that only makes him more valuable for the team, and thus only an even better player. I think the best player is the one who improves his whole team the most. Maybe Hazard won't be named the best in the world, but he will be it, and in my opinion is already at the very top, just see how important he is to Chelsea. This implies, of course, that many players who have been selected the best of the world are not even nearly being it.

Ronaldo won the Ballon D'or and he does not improve the team as a whole. His childish strops aren't good for anyone. Never thanks the assister. Just flexes and looks for the camera. It's part of the reason Bale is so poor at the moment. He got called selfish by the press now it's plain to see he tries too hard to find Ronaldo when he should take it on himself.
          That argument is flawed.

              Read it yourself

"I think the best player is the one who improves his whole team the most."

Ronaldo is the best i the world right now (technically) and does not improve his team the most as a whole.

I even agree with this. I just say that the best individual is the one who improves his team the most, despite people appreciating players simply by their goal tally regardless of what good they do to their team.

I voted "yes". But I am extremely biased.

Fact is, though, that Eden is just 24 and still improving season by season. He is at a top club where he's as vital as Messi was at Barcelona a few years ago. He has every chance, especially with Mourinho coaching him.

Unusual for José to give a player such a free reign. If he decided to give that free rein to say Kevin De Bruyne instead of selling him he could be just as important as Hazard is now. There's an element of fortune in it too. Being given that license in one of the best teams in the world. He hasn't set the world alight with it so far...

You've gone from a picture to an assumption of him not playing. If I was you, I would sell him if it helps your transfer plans.
Don't sell him because you don't think he'll play. From looking at your transfers, I think Sanchez and giroud will probably outscore hazard and Vardy before the end of the season, so in all its a sensible move

I mean the competitions are absolutely awesome, but people changing both gravs and names can be very weird.

Adding a tag thing to the name seems like the ideal situation, I guess.

Similar situation myself and I am going for glory with triple attack. You'd regret it more if you play a defensive move and lose somewhere else because you didn't have the eventual high scoring mid.

Chiellini has been one of the most underrated defenders of his generation. Thiago Silva is constantly put in "best team in the world", I'd argue Chiellini is right up there as one of the world's best CBs. Such a smart footballer.

Very true not many great defenders like their used to be 90s-00s (Cannovaro, maldini, Dessailly etc). Puyol the last great imo.

That he was having a day at the beach after winning the title does not mean he is on holidays. I think Allegri, at Juve, has been giving his players a day off after about every second important and hard fought victory this season. Still the guys come to play the next match.
