Having narrowly finished second to champions Manchester City in 2013/14, Liverpool’s prospects were dealt a bitter blow last summer after 31-goal Luis Suarez was snapped up by Barcelona. With the Uruguayan gone, and Daniel Sturridge restricted to seven starts due to injuries, it was a season to forget for Brendan Rodgers’ outfit.

    .@ianherbs - Liverpool’s pursuit of the Roberto Firmino will be central to the club’s transfer market activity.
    Any hope of signing Benteke is now extinguished. Bacca & Rondon are also under consideration, though they are of less interest. Real Madrid expect Liverpool’s interest in Denis Cheryshev to firm up if they do lose Sterling..@ianherbs - Firmino was watched frequently by Liverpool last season and the Anfield club appear to be his most likely destination.

          I think Cheryshev is a decent option but perhaps nothing special, you'd think we'd have the necessary cover already if/when Sterling leaves. I think Firmino could play there but it would be off someone else I guess.

              Seriously I don't understand them either. Cech deserves all the respect and credits. You can't blame him to leave Chelsea. We bought Courtois and he is our number one now. It would have been better to sell him elsewhere but apparently he wanted to stay in London. The management at Chelsea has been kind to him because they could have refused to negotiate with Arsenal.
