Season after season we’re seeing new weekly and daily Fantasy Football games launch and compete for our attention. It’s become obvious that these types of games are here to stay and are growing at pace.

This summer has been no different and it’s became clear that we needed a new approach to dealing with the games and to help guide those who decide to dip into them.

While we’ve limited ourselves to working with two full-time weekly/daily game partners in previous seasons, this time around we’re going to be more fluid over the course of the campaign.

You’ll see a number of games appear on our pages, some new, some familiar, although we’ll never look to cover more than two dedicated games in any given Gameweek.

In addition, we’ve a new approach to discussing these games and guiding your involvement.

We’ve recruited the 2013/14 Fantasy Premier League champion, Tom Fenley and we’re setting him a challenge.

He’ll get £100 stake money in every game that we include on our pages and we’re challenging him to use his undoubted Fantasy Football talent to turn that into profit.

Tom will be here updating his progress in each game, mulling over the options presented in a bid to build on his stake money.

He’ll also be providing a new “Weekly Shop” article in midweek which will detail his thinking for his player selections, outlining those picks that will be the mainstays of his weekly/daily lineups and those budget “enablers” that allow for big spend elsewhere.

In this way, we hope that we can help guide your strategies in whatever game you’re playing, whilst giving you an insight into playing some of our partner games week to week, including the prizes and formats they may have on offer.

In the meantime, we’d appreciate your views on daily and weekly games and will be starting a Hot Topic later this evening to capture your thoughts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Fair enough. Tho I'm one of those who doubts that Haz will score big in first 8 or so gameweeks... And Haz->Fabs gives u nice sum to spend...

Pelle has the best starting run, will look to transfer him out a few weeks.
Kane didn't finish last season that strong either.

      Nowt wrong with that.

Standard keepers on here and defence.

I'm not a fan of sterling, and I'm not sure where LFC will deploy Milner. Hendo could be an option in that bracket, or chadi

If you want to downgrade and save some cash to upgrade a striker maybe look at Scott Sinclair or Richie.

Final bit of advice from me, bench waggamama and always play 3-4-3 😀

Still young and improving. Finishing was poor last year but so was Suarez's before his sensational season and I think he will improve playing with Citeh players. He was playing centre forward and all pressure on his shoulders to get goals last year also been lively pre season.

Will be starting with him, Demi. Think we'll all have him by gw 4. Regardless

      5. Van Klinkert Delarosa
        11 years, 3 months ago

It's more like Silva, Aguero and Sterling distracting defenders and Toure arriving late to the box to scores some goals.

Pains me to say it, but the kid is brilliant. Frightens defenders enough with his pace, let alone with Silva pulling those same defenders all over the shop and Aguero a constant danger. Will do well. Currently in my draft.

      Pedro.....

      Sterling I'd think.

Think there is a real risk Pedro has to share minutes with other players, and I don't think he has it in him to be particularly good if the rest of the team isn't in good form.

      1. Lizard Lips
        11 years, 3 months ago

This. Whats the rest of your midfield look like Garg? Rambo over Ozil/Caz?

          • Fantasy Football Scout Member

I'm struggling with the Arsenal midfielders, but right now I have a midfield being made up by Hazard, Sterling, Özil, Walcott and Sinclair.

I'm not happy with Sinclair however so I'll probably try and upgrade him to Mane.

          1. Gargamel
            • Fantasy Football Scout Member

With the recent talk about Özil being played as #10 and Wenger setting him a higher goals target I think he's probably worth the initial punt over Ramsey, but as I said I'm really not sur

It's tight. Been a few years since I watched Pedro play more than occasionally.

I can't decide :). If I really, really had to pick one I'd still go with Sterling.

Finished very well last year, has looked good in preseason and RMT seems to look favourably on him.

Hi guys. If you're looking for a new fantasy game, check out http://www.goalscorechallenge.co.uk.

GSC is a free game with cash prizes and it's simple. Pick a Premier League player every week and any goals they score are added to your total. But you can only pick each player once all season so it's fairly tactical and a lot of fun. Cheers!

Downgrade Mert to Francis or Mings to fund Mane?

What are we thinking for the 5.0 defender spot, Cedric or Jenkinson?? Obv wouldn't play jenko GW1

West ham have good fixtures, but southampton had the better defence last season

      Williams?

Yes I suppose, hadn't really thought about him. The others seem to offer more attacking wise though? Or would Williams be more likely to pick up the baps for tackles etc?

    Help please!

How do I shoe-horn Walcott into the below - or is it good enough as it is?

    Courtois (Henn)
    Kosc, Cedric, (Rose/Francis), (Baker)
    Hazard, Henderson, Chadli, Ritchie (Wanyama)
Rooney, Benteke, Kane + 1.0m itb

    thanks 🙂

You'd have to downgrade Benteke or Kane.

RMT on this please - made a few tweaks from earlier in the week:

    Myhill/Henessey
    Azpi/Mertesacker/Cedric/Huth/S.Taylor
    Oxlade-Chaimerlain/Silva/Hazard/Mane/Wanyama
    Rooney/Kane/Sakho

Gambling a bit on the Ox, any thoughts on:

    A) Ox & Silva
    B) Sterling & Hendo

    Thanks!

    1. khandyman
      11 years, 3 months ago

I was thinking the Ox too, I guess with Alexis coming back at some point and the amount of options Arsenal have on the wings means more rotation in his position.

    2. Wonderful Wizard Hazard
      11 years, 3 months ago

Ox is the unknown. I think Sterling will put up comparable numbers to Silva, if not better. Definitely more goals. Hendo vs Ox.. can't really see Ox remaining in the staring XI the whole season. I think at some point Walcott will be pushed out to the wing, and Giroud will start up top. When that happens, Ox goes to the bench. My preference is B, but nothing wrong with starting with A if you think that looks good. Good thing about Silva is it's easy to downgrade him to another premium mid... or upgrade to Sanchez.

Think I might play it safe with B (and then inevitably regret it when Ox does the business on Saturday!). Thanks for the advice everyone!

Hi all, seeing loads of RMT's without Kane. What's the reasoning - he's still untouchable for me unless last season proves a fluke....? Too pricey?

      Lovely timing GAZMANSTAR 🙂

Haha! Have a nagging doubt he could be a one hit wonder, but I'm up for seeing what happens with him. Benteke is damn tempting though...

        1. scakes
          11 years, 3 months ago

Yup, Benteke is next in line but nervous about Liverpool generally...no disrespect to Liverpool fans.... 😉

People are cheap skates, and think they are paying over the odds for him as he was so cheap last year.

Bottom line is, he's nailed on and scores goals.

Not much not to like really.

Yep, think 9.5 is good value particularly as team looks similar to last year....we know what we're getting...no settling or new systems...

don't say that EVS! i was planning to go without him!

Bit worried about TOT's early season form and fact he's played a lot of footer recently.

guess you think i should re-think?

I don't understand this either, even less so in the context of Rooney being in so many.

I know Rooney was OOP last year but even excluding last year he had only surpassed Kane's total in 2 of the previous 8 years!

Also considering their ages Kane should be improving and Rooney declining.

It seems we're in the minority though... hopefully a good FFS differential!

    Schmeichel (Butland)
    Mings - Cédric - Coates (Richards,Jenkinson)
    Mahrez - Silva - Henderson - Hazard(c) (Wanyama)
    Rooney - Agüero(v) - Wilson

    What do we think?

Pretty good for a RoonAguero team. No Arsenal would worry me a little, so maybe sacrifice Silva for an 8.5 and upgrade Mahrez.

Also think Mings might struggle with the pace of the league...(having watched him for 2 seasons at town!). Go Francis or another 4.5m imo

      Hi everyone,

My first team in this game and I would very much appreciate feedback or tips on my team and/or GW1 setup.

      Mignolet
      cedric - azpi - clyne
      hazard - sterling - mane - cedric - henderson
      Rooney - kane

      hennesey - targett - Francis - wilson

      Thx for replies!

Lots of Liverpool in there, I would take some money out of your Liverpool defenders and use it to get an Arsenal midfielder somehow

Could I get an RMT gents:

    Ruddy Butland
    Ivan Cedric Ward/Richards Angella Mings
    Haz Ozil Mane Hendo Ritchie
    Rooney Benteke Deeney

    Cheers in advance!
