Season after season we’re seeing new weekly and daily Fantasy Football games launch and compete for our attention. It’s become obvious that these types of games are here to stay and are growing at pace.

This summer has been no different and it’s became clear that we needed a new approach to dealing with the games and to help guide those who decide to dip into them.

While we’ve limited ourselves to working with two full-time weekly/daily game partners in previous seasons, this time around we’re going to be more fluid over the course of the campaign.

You’ll see a number of games appear on our pages, some new, some familiar, although we’ll never look to cover more than two dedicated games in any given Gameweek.

In addition, we’ve a new approach to discussing these games and guiding your involvement.

We’ve recruited the 2013/14 Fantasy Premier League champion, Tom Fenley and we’re setting him a challenge.

He’ll get £100 stake money in every game that we include on our pages and we’re challenging him to use his undoubted Fantasy Football talent to turn that into profit.

Tom will be here updating his progress in each game, mulling over the options presented in a bid to build on his stake money.

He’ll also be providing a new “Weekly Shop” article in midweek which will detail his thinking for his player selections, outlining those picks that will be the mainstays of his weekly/daily lineups and those budget “enablers” that allow for big spend elsewhere.

In this way, we hope that we can help guide your strategies in whatever game you’re playing, whilst giving you an insight into playing some of our partner games week to week, including the prizes and formats they may have on offer.

In the meantime, we’d appreciate your views on daily and weekly games and will be starting a Hot Topic later this evening to capture your thoughts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Think I may be settled now barring last minute injuries. Thoughts?

    Stekelenburg 4M
    Azpi Mert Cedric Huth Oxford
    Haz Caz Mane Milner Fletcher
    Rooney Kane Sahko

Oxford will be 3rd sub every week

Is Ox and Walcott crazy? I'm counting on them giving the Hammers a massive hiding.

    Mignolet
    Lescott PVA Azpi
    Hazard Sterling Walcott Ox
    Rooney Benteke Lukaku

    McCarthy Wanyama Saylor Targett

      A bit.

I'd change Lescott and PVA - there are better 5m options

As a gooner, I think it is an interesting short term punt.

Don't like Lescott (awful fixtures) or Mignolet though........plenty of better options out there (see tonight's article for ideas)

    Butland / Schmeichel
    Koscielny - azpi - cedric - o' shea - turner
Hazard - cazorla - payet - milner- ritchie
    Rooney- lukaku - ighalo
+1.5 £ (lukaku to kane for gw 2)

After about 20 switches in the last week almost really happy with team.

    Schwar/ schmicheal
    Azpil/ Cedric / mert (staylor/ targett)
    Wally/ sterling/ hazard / mane (ibe)
    Rooney / tekkers / Wilson

Final thoughts are is ibe to much of a punt would be better with Sinclair or another 5.0 or downgrade to a 4.5 mid if so who - wanyama, anya or other. If idid that use the 0.5 to boost defence or keeper?

Other option would be to downgrade ibe to a 4.5 and downgrade another defender to get 1 mill to change Wilson for sakho.

    All thoughts apprecited

Too early to punt on Ibe, use the extra 0.5 to upgrade one of your 4m def.

Like the GK strategy - would stay with it, I have the same MF and ATT as you! 🙂

Not sure if I have enough up from. Anywhere I could change the midfield?

    Mignolet / Schmeichel

    Rose / Clyne / Cedric / Azpi / Merte
    Cazorla / Henderson / Silva / Hazard / Mahrez
    Kane / Wilson / Deeney

Could switch silva to sterling and get a 7.5 striker. Thanks for the advice.

Yes I'm taking a gamble with no Hazard.
    Yes I taking a gamble with a cheap/non-playing bench.
Yes I'm taking a gamble that starting with a weak defence won't be too bad as clean sheet may not be so easily to pick at the season start while teams are getting in their rhythm.

After considering my gambles I'm happy to take them and have got the following team:

    Pants (Hennesey)
    Mert / Bassong / Williams (Targett / S.Taylor)
Fabregas / Sterling / Ozil / Chadli (Wanyama)
    Aguero / Rooney / Sakho

I will upgrade Targett after a few weeks once a a few good picks present themselves in the opening games.

Let's see how my gambles pay off 😉

The biggest gamble you are taking is with aguero from the off. He is a massive doubt for gamweek 1 and will take a few weeks to get match fit. Plus city's fixtures aren't the best to start with. I would use the money elsewhere and save a few transfers to get aguero in week 3/4

Not my first RMT post, not my second, but hopefully will be the last! 🙂

    Ruddy // Butland

    Clyne // Azpilicueta // Cedric // Huth // O'Shea

    Hazard // Schneiderlin // Ritchie // Silva // Wanyama

    Rooney // Kane // Pelle

3-4-3 leaving Huth, O'Shea and Wanyama on the bench.

Some points - Back and forth with Ritchie or Ki; not sure what the hell I can do to get Aguero or Sanchez in here, however I do like the fact that in the early season teams aren't sharp defensively with new team mates and rustiness and team-wise figuring each other out so I've gone for goals as opposed to clean sheets.

I might be forced into an early redraft once it settles down and the information I can glean out of the first few games should help to make better informed decisions about who is good or not.

    As always thoughts are appreciated.
