Welcome to our annual attempt to select the best and worst options in the Fantasy Premier League game and assess how the forthcoming Premier League season will pan out.

Unlike previous attempts, last year saw a number of successful predictions from the Scouts. Granville was correct in predicting a stellar debut season for Diego Costa, Danny Ings and Gylfi Sigurdsson, while Jordan Henderson rewarded my faith in him as a budget midfielder.

Naturally we didn’t get it right all the time and there were some noticeable horror predictions. Andre Schurrle’s departure from Chelsea meant Mark’s guess that he would be the year’s best differential proved ill-fated. Nikica Jelavic, meanwhile, failed to live up to the hype generated by Ryan as being the top scoring budget forward of the year.

Here’s the link if you want to remind yourself just how reliable our soothsaying powers can be.

Hopefully in our latest predictions for the forthcoming Premier League our embarrassing picks will be consigned to the past for good.

As a United fan, I'd say Memphis. Don't think Mta'll be ion pens and Memphis looks very threathing. Always looking to shoot or make a key pass

Depay. If they start playing 4-3-3 soon (as LvG had hinted), and Pedro indeed arrives, then I worry about Mata's playing time.

Kolarov will start. He has the spot over Clichy now.
I personally think Clichy is a horrible player.
Dont think so many have him yet because of the hard fixtures.

Get rid of him, Fryers too, he'll never get a game. Too much spent on your keepers. You can save 1M and upgrade the above.

Wilson & Deeney both decent options for a cheap striker.

No. This early in the season you want someone guaranteed to start. D. sakho, or deeney,or c wilson.

      Go for the saves mate

Panti will outscore Courtois, I'd you want Chelsea get Azpil

Lose the Utd defender no De Gea and Blind playing CB fixtures worsen after gw3

Panti Azpil in for Courtois Utd simple decision

Chelsea scored nine against Swansea over two games last year so I think Hazard is the sensible choice.
