Welcome to our annual attempt to select the best and worst options in the Fantasy Premier League game and assess how the forthcoming Premier League season will pan out.

Unlike previous attempts, last year saw a number of successful predictions from the Scouts. Granville was correct in predicting a stellar debut season for Diego Costa, Danny Ings and Gylfi Sigurdsson, while Jordan Henderson rewarded my faith in him as a budget midfielder.

Naturally we didn’t get it right all the time and there were some noticeable horror predictions. Andre Schurrle’s departure from Chelsea meant Mark’s guess that he would be the year’s best differential proved ill-fated. Nikica Jelavic, meanwhile, failed to live up to the hype generated by Ryan as being the top scoring budget forward of the year.

Here’s the link if you want to remind yourself just how reliable our soothsaying powers can be.

Hopefully in our latest predictions for the forthcoming Premier League our embarrassing picks will be consigned to the past for good.

Do we think Schlupp will start for leicster, thinking of putting him over huth, as the starting lineup page on here shows him starting in midfield, maybe able to bag a few assists as well as as many clean sheets as huth?

    Hi Guys,

    RMT please.

    1.5m ITB

    Myhill/Guzan

    Azpilicueta, Mertesacker, Bassong/Francis/Prodl
    Hazard, Ritchie, Sterling, Walcott (Fletcher)
    Benteke, Wilson, Rooney

Money ITB is to upgrade Rooney -> Aguero by downgrading one of Sterling/Walcott/Benteke; whoever is not performing to free up 1m

Is it worth having this money set aside or just WC and use up everything I have. I'm trying to avoid using the WC early.

I can also do this by downgrading Hazard -> Fab before the season starts and have enough ITB to do a straight swap in GW3/4.

    Thoughts?

    0.5 in the bank.

Upgrade Bentaleb to Sinclair or keep the money for changes to my first-choice players in the first few weeks?

If you had to pick a single defender (6.0mil or less) for your team, would you go for Arsenal or Chelsea?

I have Kosc currently, but Azpi is so alluring.

For 6 or less, neither. Go for a 5 and use thr $ elsewhere. Arsenal D way overrated on here.

Arsenal for sure, Chelsea conceded in 13/19 away games last season and Arsenal's worst game was 2-0 away at Chelsea. Koscielny will boss it this year, especially with Cech in goal.
