An inauspicious start at Old Trafford leads us into four more Premier League encounters, with all three promoted sides in action.

Bournemouth host Aston Villa at “Vitality Stadium” (no really), Norwich take on Alan Pardew’s emerging Palace lineup at Carrow Road, while Watford make the testing trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.

Leicester and Sunderland complete the quartet, with Claudio Ranieri making his Premier League return in the Foxes hot-seat as he locks horns with Black Cats boss, Dick Advocaat.

These four matches are followed by the late kick-off at Stamford Bridge as champions Chelsea open their account against Garry Monk’s Swansea.

    I'm finding it funny how many people were writing me off in pre-season as an FPLer because I went with differentials like Mahrez and Rooney and now everyone's trying to suck up to me again. This place is so fickle.

    At 11.44am I asked the question, Mahrez or Ritchie? Somebody, can't remember who, gave a typically non-committal answer and replied Ritchie for pens, Mahrez for the hole. I went with Mahrez on the hope that Leicester would go all out attack as opposed to hoping that Villa would give away a penalty. I used to hate non-committal answers but not any more. Said just enough, distilled the choice down and left it up to me. Thank you, whoever you were.

    I had this guy in but then I put in this other guy. People told me that this other guy was no good, so took him out last minute for a good guy. Now the first guy turns out to be the good guy and my entire season is ruined after 45 minutes
