Gameweek 2 gets us up and running earlier than usual tonight, as Villa welcome United to the midlands.

Both sides opened their seasons with 1-0 wins and Tim Sherwood will be seeking home improvements, having managed just one home clean sheet at Villa Park since taking the helm. Captain Poll favourite Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, looks to improve upon a record that saw him score just once outside of Old Trafford in 2014/15.

United roll up to Villa Park for their first away game of the season having struck just 21 goals in their 19 road trips under Louis van Gaal last term, registering a shot on goal every 8 minutes. They’ll be up against a Villa rearguard that kept just four clean sheets in front of their own fans last term, shipping 25 goals – only Crystal Palace kept fewer shutouts than the midlanders.

Having failed to ignite against Spurs, Van Gaal will look to his attacking players to perform tonight, providing a test to Sherwood’s rearguard following their opening day success at Bournemouth.

He's a great option, but I don't think Aguero is 'essential' until GW4. Captaincy is the key for a 13m player.

You sure? With midfielders like Mata, Herrera, Schweinsteiger & Schneiderlin.. you're telling me that wealth of talent, United are completely incapable of playing fluid, attractive football? We ARE in GW2 and new singings will take time to adjust. Some people are so unbelievably overdramatic.

I am sitting down, "lad". 1984 was the last time Liverpool won the CL before 05. Claiming trophies from 31 years ago and before? Aye, a Liverpool fan if I ever heard of one. Simultaneously obsessed with their "past" and next season. Sadly, the past has no reflection on the current crop who struggle to get a sniff of the top four. One word: Balotelli. LOL.

Spent all summer trying to understand why everyone went with Rooney. I didn't even concider him before he started popping up on every single team here. Was on Aguero from GW1 for weeks until I got scared of there being something I had missed - the fuzz.

I totally expected him to be rusty as a number nine (why were you all so convinced he'd just start freescoring again after so many years?), but was too much of a coward to leave him out. Better trust my own gut next time.

How is it hindsight when I was always sceptical? If I was the kind of person to dig up my own posts I could've linked them to you.

Of course I would have stayed quited if he scored. But I wasn't quiet to begin with - I put my head on the block earlier saying I didn't expect him to do well.

Who will do well Nostradamus. He has played a game and a half and noone has exactly shone (bar two defenders) in that time for United. He is an experienced central striker for one of the best teams in the league. I am sure he will get a few goals soon.............
