    I want to get aguero somehow in the team and i only have 0.5M in the bank
    No free transfers, I used my wildcard, I am looking to get him before Gameweek 4

      Sagna - will Zabaleta come back in for him?
      Oxford - Obiang has taken his place.
      Targett - Bertrand should take his place within a couple weeks time.
      Romero - I expect de Gea to come back into the team soon.

                If you don't react, you miss out. Personally, there was no way for me to hop onto Aguero, Mahrez, Payet, who are all in form and rising in price without WC. The scout template just wasnt delivering and it was time to alter course.

                  All I mentioned was rank, not players. 😉 I'm being annoying to make a point haha. Of those I think only Aguero is essential, you could've downgraded an expensive mid to Mahrez and got Aguero for a -4 at most.

                    Well, yes I could have, but then I also would be priced out of Toure, Gomis and all the other band wagons. Atm i have literally all the price risers with my TV at 100.6. Now I can pick and choose the ones I want to keep without worrying aobut a price rise :p

                      Fair points, I suppose you guarantee people will jump on the points-scorers because we have nothing else to go on at this stage, meaning you're guaranteed TV. I'm not against wildcarding at this stage, I'm only against worrying about your rank at this stage. 🙂

      If/when I hate my team. I sort of do a bit at the minute but I put Aguero in from the start specifically so I didn't need to WC him in early, so I'm sitting tight for now. I like to have 6-8 games worth of data to go on before I make longer term decisions - if I play it now I could end up hating the team in a few weeks since early season form is so unpredictable.

        I agree on Benteke downgrade. He was my captain today nd got me a nice 18 points, but frankly hasn't gelled into Liverpool yet. I don't see him scoring freely just yet; Bournemouth were not the best defense wise, and yet he very rarely got on the ball, or atleast not as much as you would have liked him to.

          Yeah it's a tricky one with him. I wished I had him tonight but the reason I didn't is precisely because of what you said, I didn't expect them to gel quickly. Liverpool haven't been set up to play to the strengths of a striker like Benteke so it was likely to take time. It was very similar with Balotelli, but unlike Balo, Benteke can actually be arsed to put a shift in when things aren't going his way.

          On the other hand, you think to yourself who else is gonna score their goals? Only Coutinho looks remotely likely at the moment - a big share of a team's goals is good news from a fantasy perspective.

            You missed Henderson shot that just tipped the crossbar, Sturrridge will return and I think the firmino lad will score with more time on the pitch. But you are correct right now Coutunho and Benteke most likely scorers

    With the ways WC's work this year and the rate of price changes, even with an okay start and team, ahead of the wagons as I already have mahrez, aguero and Sanchez for example, I still feel under pressure this week because the team value is looking like it could suffer with the drops. Rooney, hazard, Coates, Hennessy all look likely to kaput my TV even though I have other risers, as drops are more severe then rises.

    In other years gone by, you could at least content yourself that your WC was in your back pocket and you'd cash in on a Dgw. An advanatage to a solid start and not having to use the WC early on.

    Now...it just feels like unless something drastic happens, an early WC has few risks bar an injury wave ravaging the big players at some point. I'll have my WC in the pocket after this week, be down on team value and apart from a small lead on points and the moral high ground, i'll be facing WC teams with more money and form players!

      I agree. Not happy with the rule change either.

      That said, a Hazard goal and bonus points vs a Silva/YaYa blank will have a fair few wildcarders panicking again. As might an injury to a big hitter. It's also potentially a long time with no wC if you want to keep your next one for the DGWs!

      Just think you have to take the falls on the chin and be prepared to take advantage of a good run of fixtures somewhere before Xmas.

      Going to be a long crawl back from here (I'm 2.2m'th!) but no reason why it can't happen

    if i decided to wc, all the essential parts are my keepers and backline...id like to have, one from: man city, man utd, swansea, arsenal and liverpool (chelsea too but expensive)

    I think that benteke is an easy switch to lukaku once fixtures lighten and silva to hazard once he hits form. Is the defense good enough?
