    So, Gomez. He'll make you a load of money, as he's cheap, starting for Liverpool, and most importantly, near the top of the defenders standings on the FPL transfer page. I think he's a pretty short term pick though.

    WHM/NOR/AVL in the next five is very nice, and Liverpool look tight, so that could easily be three clean sheets. After that though, I don't like the look of any of their fixtures for October or November from a defensive perspective (eve/tot/SOT/che/CPL/mci/SWA), particularly given that all of those home games fall after a Europa League match. He's also obviously a rotation risk, and there's no knowing how long he'll keep his spot in the team.

    If you're happy to use a transfer on him within the next 6 gameweeks, then he could be a great pick, to build you some TV, grab you some points, and cover the highly owned Liverpool defence before their good fixtures dry up. I actually started writing this post with the intention of pointing out why I don't think he's a good pick, but actually, I think he's a decent gamble at 4.6m.

        The system changed and now it actually revards the best performers, not the ones who scored a tap in and haven't done anything else for 90 minutes. Kompany got a yellow, too.
