Anyone else who cannot wait for Everton's fixtures to take a turn for the better? Barkley passes the eye test. The man can dribble, tackle, and has a sledgehammer shot. I believe I saw him take a couple free kicks, as well. He seems inspired this season (I've watched 2 everton matches)

Lukaku looks up for it as well.

If you can't be bothered checking the answer is 7, joint top and the same as kolarov. Only 3 other defenders have more than 3 chances created

I think that's been true in previous years but the value is less this year as we have to use it sometime before week 18. It's like a player on an expiring contract. I value it closer to 12 pts currently.

Why do people have such a big problem with playing defenders and Forwards from teams facing each other?

Eg. "I cant play Williams because I have Rooney up front"

Just an example but would playing them both not be safer and smarter! Obviously in Certain situations its different

Math. limits upside. A goal = no clean sheet, and may not be scored by Roon. Clean sheet = blank.

Players share 4 points (goal or CS). Plus appearance points, you have locked 4 ppg for 2 players.

maximize points potential i guess, pick the player you think will score more and try to not let it be at the expense of your other player.

Your approach is the most logical. However, there is the argument that if you want to do exceptionally you need to get very lucky. This type of lineup reduces the chance of a very lucky week.

Save for the dgw. If you flop now, you'll always regret it. Atleast with a double gameweek you did the logical thing and you can hide behind that and not feel bad lol

It's probably kind of rare that DGW players go bonkers enough to make the argument that that is the only time to use the chip in question.

Short term gain but it is more likely that triple captain in a dgw is going to be better.

I am trying to pay les attention to prices this year. If it is a trade I want to make I will do it early if rises are due to occur but I am not going to let it influence who I buy and sell just to increase my team value. Points are what it is all about and there always seems to be cheaper options about.

I always look at my team and think what the best I can do with my Ft and if a player I want is going to rise or the one I am selling is going to drop I hurry

Nah Team value is what it's all about at the start of the season. Only in the second half of the season do you hone in on your final 11.

Socialist at the start then a capitalist at the end. Although Mo Money Mo Problems...

I would easily do a -8 every week at the start to get the lads in that need to be

Later on in the season you can be more careful but at the start go absolutely nuts

Spending all the baps and there's tanny's left right and centre all over the shop

I seem to be paying more attention this year. Agree with don't buy rubbish for a price rise but I'm willing to take a hit for a £0.4 sell value. (Ie 10pts per £m) Gives me 35 weeks to make 4 pts back with the extra revenue.

It does but chasing value tends to involve more hits chasing people who have scored well not necessarily those that will score well.

Then it boils down to your skill as FPL manager to use stats etc. to distinguish between chasing last week's points and identifying a good bandwagon to get on early.

Exactly. Less transfers more points. That is the idea anyway. Be patient with players and a little less kneejerkey. Not saying it will work just trying it.

Still without a GW rank less than a million, horrible start.

    Butland | McCarthy
    Kompany | Darmian | Morgan | Richards | Ward
    Silva | Sanchez | Depay | Mahrez | Westwood
    Kun | Gomis | Sakho

I've already missed the rise, and it does seem knee-jerky, but Sakho -> Wilson seems a fair option this week?

Am I the only one that thinks Sanchez may have been robbed out of a goal when they awarded an OG instead to Crystal Palace? I haven't brought this up yet, but it seemed very possible to me that his shot was technically on target. And, no, I'm not just forming this opinion because he was my captain that GW (lol).
