      Nah, I toyed with many options and having that cheap 4.5 mid really helps things along all over the rest of the team and lets you get the big hitters and a decent mix

      Not that sold on Wilson, WHam totally f&cked up for the goals

      You listed Ozil twice as an option to replace Mane so seems you want him... Shaqiri and Payet have favorable fixtures in their future, Chadli & Ayew are in form... all good options.

    Guys, I am far from a knee jerker but I think I've overpaid for Sanchez. It's all about value, and he seems on the expensive side given some of the options around.

        True Tbone. You're dead right in that, all things being equal, he would be the best option from Arsenal, but does he justify the additional 2.5?

        I'm looking at Coutinho and the fact that he is 8.1 and how much of a threat he looks and it's making me think...it seems that everything Liverpool do is going through him

          i considered that too. i dont feel like the other arsenal mids will offer much consistency.. and it just always seems like sanchez is getting the ball in the box.. and many say sanchez will be top scorer fantasy wise this season.. i think hell be top 3.. not first though.

          i dont think what you paid for sanchez is something to worry about, im hoping he justifies that pricetag very soon! any other way to get coutinho in?

      wilson scored from 3 of 3 shots.. was very efficient.. dont think that would happen every week. in saying that.. ive got wilson. that cheap nailed striker allows alot of room for upgrades elsewhere so fingers are crossed

      Well it was Wilson's first senior hatty, they hadn't scored previous and each of their goals was easily mistake from a Wham defender and absolutely gifted to them

      It's a safe enough wagon to ride with those fixtures and if you caught the first Wilson rise.

      Bour only good against sides that play a high line thats what west ham did leaving gaps down the right and middle with nearly all the goals...if you play deep and hold your position they will struggle like their first two games even though they do pass the ball around well wilson is short and fast so he wont win headers and wont receive the ball with his back to goal...but seeing that they have games against similar level teams they will find that space and will get in behind with the fast wilson so I think its good to have him and rotate him with your redmonds ritchies etc

        That's my worry. But the team is a 3-5-2 so It shouldn't be too bad?

        I'm thinking maybe use the 1.0 ITB to upgrade my 4.5 third striker to a 5.0 and rotate him with Wilson, could cause benching headaches though.

          It's not that it shouldn't be too bad. How annoying is it to see that number 2 or 1 underneath a player when the rest of your team has done reasonably well. Even more so when you see it twice. If your midfield has an off day, which it will, you're stuck with hope. hope sucks like a fat girl on a cream cake.

                    Fair enough. But I have been noticing that mids are getting BPS for 1 assist, strikers in the other hand don't get anything when they score a goal (eg, aguero, gomis)

          to be honest, i'm not a fan of Diouf or Wilson as a second striker.

          I would be more comfortable with Gomis/Benteke/Lukaku as a 2nd striker.

              Not necessarily, the 3rd striker is now your 5th midfielder 🙂

              If i were to go with a 3-5-2, I would want to be focusing all future transfers on my midfield. With Diouf/Wilson as your second striker, I don't think they will be a strong enough source of points and with a few options at that price range, the temptation will always be to tinker.

              Classic case in point was the Bojan > Naismith > Ulloa debacle last season.

              Primary benefit of 3-5-2 should be matching value & price in midfield instead of stacking it with premium options. 2/3 defenders should play week in/week out - which you have. I would still prefer Yaya over Silva if it means ugprading Diouf to say Benteke/Lukaku.

                I see where you come from. I would prefer Yaya over Silva if I could upgrade Diouf to Benteke/Lukaku. But I can't afford it. The good thing with Diouf/Wilson is that they have great fixtures coming up, I can't see myself getting rid of either one of them in the next month or so. But you do have a point.

        Fitness being the key one. Darmian is a Trooper and Shaw is a wet paper towel... The .1 really is going a long way and I can't decide who to drop! Tis tricky and they're both pretty even baps and stats wise

        No I'd agree totally. Blind seems to be doing well with Smalling and I totally wrote him off at cb at the start for the same reason of lacking pace

        agree. the only way to beef up defence is to downgrade tekkers (to gomis) or silva (to yaya)

        i wish i had got yaya @ 8.5 when i could've, but it wasn't meant to be

        i do technically have city/chelsea defence cover though so i feel it's ok..or could be a false sense of security

    Hi deadzone!

    So, inspired by Fantasy Flutter, I've started putting some money (spare change really) on EPL matches each week.
    Does anyone have suggestion on what markets are good? eg. clean sheet, handicap, anytime goal scorer, etc.

    eg. I know that big accumulators are a bad idea, since you multiply the profit margin for the bookies, and that the big team bets (eg. City to beat Watford) are unlikely to offer good value.

    Anyone have any experience on this?
